I would not hire them again. I don't think the technician knew what he was doing. I kept telling him my thermostat was faulty, and he kept telling me that I needed a new system. Frankly, I didn't believe him and had another company come out who said that my thermostat was faulty. He did wear booties when he came in. He did wear a uniform. The work quality was fine, but the quality of the advice was an F.

It went quite. It was my condo's owners choice to use them but, I would use them personally. The employees were all very respectful and courteous. They also cleaned up all their messes.

It went very well. They were friendly, decent, and they seemed to do the job well. They came on time and got the work done quickly. They seemed like they did everything the way they should have.

Our family is new to Texas and we have some bad servicing of the HVAC systems at the time of our house sale. I called Christian Brothers and spoke to a very polite lady at the office. I explained there were problems with two units of our house and told her I needed all of them to be inspected. She listened to my concerns and immediately scheduled someone to come to look at the systems that afternoon. I received an exact time for my appointment, and the service man came promptly on time and was very professional in his manner and his appearance. He was friendly and took time to listen what had been happening with the units. He then spent the rest of the afternoon examining carefully each unit, both inside and outside the house. He did not rush and was completely focused on our house. He explained what the problems were, how to fix them, remediate past shoddy work on our systems, and also forcasted any future problem areas. He was extremely knowledgable about his work, took his time, and was very concerned about the quality of his work and left our house with things neat and tidy. We have had no problems since his work. I was so impressed with Christian Brothers and can't wait to recommend them to my friends.

They were timely. Their price was competitive with others. I was pleased with the quality of the installation.

I obtained a quote from Strand Brothers based on their inspection of what needs to be performed to improve my house's energy efficiency. They scheduled the city's inspection for me. A week after the inspection they performed the work. It took about half a day. They were extremely considerate, took great care not to scratch the wooden floors and limit the insulation product from spreading as well as limiting the noise. Afterwards they swept the floors! A few days after the work was performed they scheduled the city's inspection again - at a time that would suit me. (The city's rebate came to about 35% of the total cost.) It all went very smoothly and they answered my questions I had about insulation, duct work as well as the AC and gave advice about how to improve the temperature in my garage.

I'm surprised Strand Brothers got such good reviews. I chose this company because of the reviews in Angie's list and I've been completely ignored by the people at the company. They just want to charge my credit card and not do anything else. The air conditioner is at a rental property, so I asked when I set up the appointment that they call me and tell me what is wrong and how much it will cost before they begin the work. Of the 3 times they came, they only called me the first time before charging my credit card. (Don't they need authorization? or can they just charge what they feel like?) I also asked them to send me the receipt, which they didn't do either, so I had to call later and ask again when they emailed it to me. The first time they came out, they said ants did the damage. That was almost $200. They had to come out the same week because a wire was burnt, which was another $100. I didn't know they charged me the second time since they didn't call me to ask me or tell me and I never received a receipt that I had asked for twice at that point. I noticed the charge on my credit card, but they never got my authorization for that charge prior to charging me. Then on 11/12, the AC wasn't working again, so I called them. The tech came out and I met him there because no one at the company could address my AC issues over the phone. He thought the issue was one thing (I can't remember what he said and it's not on the work order), so I left and went back to work. It was supposed to be about $100. When I got to work, he called and said he was wrong and it was a fan motor that would be about $500. I decided to get a new AC since this one kept breaking. Today, I look at my credit card statement and they charged my credit card $149! For nothing! They didn't make it work or anything. I have been calling them for 2 weeks. I spoke with Mary several times who told me James Pool would have to talk to me and he would call me back on 11/28. I never received a call from him so I called back on 12/2 and talked to Mary again. Mary said James Pool would call me back on 12/3. No call back. I called back on 12/9 and talked to James Pool. He wasn t very helpful. He told me that even though the charge wasn t authorized I would still have to pay it. He finally agreed to only charge me for the diagnostic charge of $77 (after no one there would help me) and refund $72 to my credit card. I hope he honors what he said he will do this time. I am also going to submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

First things first: Roland and Miguel practically saved my mother-in-law's life!! First they performed a tune-up on our unit, which runs on electricity. They did a thorough job and the unit runs fine. There were no repairs necessary. My mother-in-law and we live on the same property in two different houses. They went over to my mother-in-law's house. Her unit runs on propane gas. My mother-in-law, Annemarie, complained about a gas smell, whenever she ran the heater (which, thank God, was not that often so far). They found out that the guy who installed this unit about 9 months ago, failed to convert it from natural to propane gas. They immediately measured the Co2 level inside the house, it was way too high! Roland told us to immediately open doors and windows, it was downright scary!! They fixed the problem and converted the unit from natural to propane gas. The person, who sold us the unit and made a basically life threatening mistake, can unfortunately not be held responsible. We actually tried first to get him to do the maintenance, which would have made sense, but his phone number is discontinued. I wonder why!? We have a maintenance contract with Christian Brothers now, which runs $ 239.00 for 2 units. The conversion cost $160.00. On the maintenance we received a discount of 15 %, which brought it to $215.00.

It was a positive experience. They were helpful and prompt. There was no waiting. They were there when they said they would be. There were some rebates that they helped my clients save on. They are very professional and trustworthy.

They wanted to replace the entire system rather than just fix the problem which was going to be very expensive.

They're very punctual, are careful to be neat with either removing their boots or covering them with booties. Everything has been working great so far.

Strand did an annual check of systems about a year ago. {Domingo] arrived on time and did all work leaving all areas neat and clean. Systems were serviceable but he informed me that as old as the system was that it could fail at anytime. On a 100 degree Sun. it failed. Called Strand on Mon. at 8am and was given a 1pm appointment. John Solis arrived on time and gave an estimate and said I was welcome to get other estimates. I asked when they could start and when he said Tue. am I said lets do it. Juan and George arrived on time with all tools and parts needed worked together and did all work in good time. All areas were cleaned and left in good shape. All insulation and other appointments were always on time and left in good shape. Quality Control has been on time and very knowledgeable [bob] I have been assured that any questions or problems that may arise as seasons change will be taken care of.

I checked Angie's List first. I saw Strand Brothers had a fantastic reputation and I was ready to call, but then realized my wife had called in Blackmon Mooring a few times in the past and they were great. So I ended up calling Blackmon Mooring. Lo and behold, their service transfers me to Strand Brothers! Apparently Strand Brother bought out their A/C and plumbing (I think) services. I called the operator around 10 or 11 a.m. She had someone available between 2 and 4 and said I'd receive a call before they came over. Sure enough, about 2:10 I got a call saying the person would be here in 20-30 minutes. Got here about 2:30, very punctual. Leland (I believe that's the spelling) showed up, very friendly and obviously knowledgeable. He asked what symptoms I saw, I told him the fan on the outside A/C unit wasn't spinning and there was a low hum. He suspected he knew what it was immediately. Five minutes later after removing a panel he confirmed it: a blown capacitor. He quoted me $183 which included the $107 (I think) diagnostic fee (which includes coming out). So the repair itself technically only cost about $75 plus the diagnostic fee. Man I was super relieved it wasn't going to be a major replacement. The A/C unit is only about 8 years old. I asked Leland if I could stand outside and watch what he was doing and ask him a few questions. He was all for it and answered everything I threw at him, so it was an impromptu crash course on how A/C units work, or at least the part that was broken. I only realized later that he may have thought I was trying to supervise him so he didn't try any funny business. You hear so many bad things about some HVAC folks. But anyway, Leland was very professional, and that wasn't what I was trying to do either, and I don't think that he thought I was either. After he replaced the capacitor he ran a few pressure checks, voltage checks and temperature checks (maybe something else too?) and everything checked out fine. I asked him a few questions and he recommended a few other services from Strands but certainly didn't pressure me into buying anything, which is why I'll be calling them when I *DO* need that service, if they are anything like Leland then I'm sure I'll be very pleased. Great job!!!!

We contacted initially for the problem that we were having with the a/c unit. They came and checked out the reason for the difference in temperatures and gave us an explanation, and based on the info we decided not to pursue fixing the problem. They called us back proactively for our Fall heating check-up. This company sent us a trustworthy and honest representative. Overall the service has been fantastic and I would recommend them to others.

A service person came out the same day as I called for help. They called my home phone prior to arrival, even though I gave a preferred cell phone number. The person arrived as promised, and quickly diagnosed the problem. I had a bit of trouble understanding him to a slight language barrier, but this wasn't really a big issue. The technician didn't have the parts or full estimate of the repairs, but gave me a ballpark figure for the fix (yikes!), and said he would have the office provide the exact estimate. He also floated the idea of replacing the existing Carrier unit with a Lennox, for 8-10 times the price, which I quickly declined to consider. I asked him to have them call my cell phone. I was charged the normal service fee, less $20 using a coupon printed off of their website (at his recommendation). Note that this is a better deal than trying to get a $15-off coupon from the Angie's List website. A few hours later, I had a message on my cell to call back to get the estimate. I called back within 2-3 minutes, but the person I was to contact had gone to lunch. My brother-in-law is an A/C technician as well, so I had him check out the unit later in the day. He verified the two problems identified by the Strand Bros technician. I'll probably go with him for repairs, since he can do it much more cheaply as a favor to me than Strand Bros can. Everyone involved was courteous, professional, and punctual.

I have had a lot of issues with my AC which was installed by another company. I finally switched to Strand Brothers and they are much more reliable and they strike me as very honest. They found out quickly what was wrong and replaced it that day. They took time to answer my questions and were very friendly and helpful. They are a bit expensive but well worth it due to their reliability. It's a terrible thing to be without AC in August and they were quick to respond!!

I like that they were responsive on the phone and that they came out on time. I am satisfied with the job they did. I thought that they were very professional and thought they were very punctual. They called ahead to make sure that I remembered that they were coming.

Since our house was built we have had problems with our AC units always leaking coolant and high energy bills. We were tired of fixing with band-aids and decided to make the investment into a new energy AC system for our downstairs. I called four companies including the one we have been using the last four years. Christian was my last call out of desperation. The information and quotes I was getting from all the other companies were all over. All were quoting on the same units. I did find a vendor who came in about $1700.00 lower than Christian Brothers but I did not feel we would have received quality work. Christian was the only professional company (and I called the other well known ones). An appointment was set, Adam called a few hours before to confirm our appointment. He showed up at the door, clean cut, clean clothes, neat and friendly. He introduced himself and handed me his business card. I told him the problem, he checked everything out and confirmed the problem and then took the time to go over the company history, and values. He then reviewed all the equipment options and advised me of the best option. When I told him his quote was quite a bit higher than another provider, he took the time to review it and understand how they could be offering such a low price. We discovered the other vendor was cutting corners and not replacing all the pans, tubing, etc. We decided to go with Christian because I felt they were the most honest and trustworthy company to go with. I also felt they would do the job right, and they did. They were out within two days and installed the new unit. The installation team was very friendly and professional. I felt comfortable having them in our home. They kept the work area clean and no damage was done to our walls or ceiling or stairwell. They were out when they promised and showed us how to use the new system. I highly recommend this company.

These service workers were very professional. They gave the impression that they came out to address the problem and not waste the time to look for extra work. They were honest and did what needed to be done. I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. I also received a discount because I told them I found them off of Angie's List.

Out elderly A/C unit died in the middle of April. Our salesperson Adam was a bit of a smooth talker, but seemed pretty sincere. They did get our unit installed the same week that we called. The guys who performed the installation were nice and the quality of the work seems fine so far. The weatherization folks (who I believe are contracted by Christian Brothers) were a bit more difficult to work with in terms of scheduling, but they did get the job done. Overall, we are thrilled that they were able to complete the work quickly.

Price was great (bought a package), arrived on time, did the work, and explained everything.

The workers are professional and polite. They explained everything to me. They have a yearly maintenance program. They will come once a year to check it. Every time I deal with them they are great. They are so professional and friendly. They try not to mess up the house. I feel comfortable with them. They are very customer oriented.

They did a good job. They were very responsive and professional, and arrived right on time.

Set at anything the A/C couldn't keep the house below 80 degrees, sometimes as high as 83 or 84 when hot outside. They came over the day after I called and inspected our system, turns out our air filter was fully clogged and the volume of air just was not enough to cool the house.
