We were very pleased. The technician was on time and very pleasant. We asked how up to date our equipment was and he scheduled us an appointment the next day. This gentleman was also on time and pleasant. He indicated that we were fine and made no effort to sell us something we didn't need.

Honest, courteous, punctual. They replaced an aging HVAC system with one that is quieter and energy efficient. They even came back to adjust the settings that were not quite right at the beginning.

Excellent experience! I had another company (very highly rated on Angie's List) check two non-working commercial ACs. That company told me that the compressors on both units had "gone to ground" and gave me an estimate of $10,000.00 to replace them. Called Strand for a second opinion and was told that one of the units was ok and the other would be about $1500 to replace. Thank goodness for honest professionals! Gave them the job, which was done in a very professional manner. Waited a few months to make sure the other compressor didn't go out before doing my report. My experience will definitely cause me to use Strand Bros. for future work.

It went fine as usual. I have a maintenance contract with Strand Bros/Service Experts and as part of that I get a pre-winter and pre-summer check-up . They said that my furnace was getting to the age where I should be thinking about a replacement, but it was OK for right now. They were on-time and conducted themselves professionally.

It went extremely well. The technician was very professional and polite. He was very knowledgeable also.

These guys are great. They do an excellent job and I would recommend them.

They are very punctual and even come out on a Sunday to check what they could do. They ended up having to install a whole new system for heating and A/C. They were very neat and clean with the service. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I called on 20th, explaining my problem---soft water unit, leaking and continually running. The service people arrived on 21st ready to work. Two very nice gentlemen promptly went to work---disconnecting the unit. Then they flushed out the pipes, before installing a new unit---explaining in detail how the new unit works. This job required a city inspection---which passed. Also, same day they installed a reverse osmosis system in kitchen and several days later, came back to install a new hot water tank---which also passed city inspection. The $3700.00 includes all the above items and installation. I am very pleased with their work They were professional in their work,m and left the house clean, neat and tidy. D.Reitmeyer

Quickly troubleshot the issue and fixed it in under an hour. Arrived on time, exactly as promised.

I had a very good experience; the technician (Jerry) seemed proficient and found the basic problem which caused the a/c failure. The problem was caused by bad wiring in the outside unit that perhaps should have been discovered in a previous maintenance check-up, a couple weeks earlier. Or, it could have been caused, perhaps, by mice, or whatever, more recently. Nonetheless, a company manager decided to charge me nothing. The company could have easily tried to charge me for the service call, given there was no direct proof that the problem didn't occur after their previous maintenance inspection. Good for them....I know they're now a 'national company' and therefore you could expect them to take a harder position. It's nice to see that they still seem to care.

I called early morning. They were out with a few hours. Replaced the capacitor and started it up. Works fine. Pleased with whole procedure. Will use them again.

The technician was prompt and at my house within an hour or so after calling for service. It was very hot in Austin (well over 100 that day) so I'm glad they were able to respond so quickly.

My 25 yr old HVAC system finally died. It quit working on a Saturday when it was 110 degrees. I called Strand Bros. and even though I was not a regular customer they got a repairman out within a couple of hours. He replaced the burned out capacitor and got the system working again but told me it "was on its last legs and he couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't break down again." I set up an appointment for the following Friday for them to do an energy audit of my house in preparation for replacing the old system. I then had to leave town for work. While I was out of town, my pet sitter called to tell me the system was not cooling. I called Strand to see if they could get the energy audit done sooner in an attempt to get a new system asap. They were wonderful. They agreed to meet with my pet sitter the next morning to complete the audit. The service rep called me to give me 2 different estimates for replacing the system and advised that I needed new duct work as it was the original when the house was built in 1980's. We agreed on a system and a price and he got the installation scheduled within a couple of days. When I got back to town, I only had to spend one night in a hotel and met the installation team at my house the next morning. Installation was completed in 4 hours. The guys were so nice and polite, asked if the pets were allowed outside or not, and completely explained the new system, how to change filters and work the programmable thermostat. The following week, the service rep was back to meet the city inspector for approval to proceed with the duct work. They arranged and scheduled all of this for me. I have never worked with such a professional and courteous team of people! They explained all the city and federal energy rebates available to me and have helped me through the entire process. I was impressed they could take care of this so quickly given the extreme heat this summer! Each time I called their office, the people answering the phone said, "I am so sorry you have to replace your system"!

I feel Christian Brothers over bids and takes advantage of People Who are ignorant of A/C equipment. I also called Them once to give a bid on installing a new water heater and They were much higher than 2 other bids. I will never call on Them again.

Great work. Came out to my mother-in-laws and got the system up and running. keep up the good work, guys!

I have a service contract for a year at a cost of $199, to check the heating and air-conditioning unit. They service South Austin and have a company tied up for plumbing. They provide all services pertaining to air-conditioning and heating. They are very knowledgeable about plumbing, especially. They were fine, but tried to sell me a water softening system, which was very expensive. I like their services and will use the same in future.

A record high temperature in Austin and my AC stopped cooling on Sunday night. I called Christian Brothers first thing Monday morning and they were able to send a technician out that morning. I was impressed with that fact since it's got to be a busy time for anyone in the AC business. The technician arrived within the agreed upon window, promptly diagnosed a bad capacitor and provided a repair estimate. It was a little higher than the estimate range I pulled from the Internet for this type of common repair, but I was very happy to pay it considering their responsiveness and professionalism. The technician seemed very competent and honest. I asked him about replacing a thermostat that was overly complicated, and he just quickly reprogrammed it and shut off the features that were an unnecessary hassle. I was very impressed with that. Overall?it was a very good experience. I called them back later and joined their semi-annual HVAC inspection program. AC is not something you take lightly in Central Texas

First they came out on a Sunday and gave us a temporary fix that got us going for the weekend. Then, they checked the price of the part we needed and came back that week and repaired our indoor unit. Both gentlemen who showed up were courteous and professional and very quick.

The service man called in advance to when he was coming. They were able to send someone over in a few hours on a Sunday. He fixed the problem in a few minutes (it was a blown capacitor). Was friendly and got the job done. I would recommend them.

Tech arrived on time. Was attentive when we discussed the problem with the zone controls. Began troubleshooting although the tech never took any meter readings on the relay control board. Final diagnosis was that I needed a replacement relay control board. Said they didn't have any and they were very rare....would have to get the main office to find and price one for me. Didn't receive a call for about a week. In the interim, I found a set of identical relays and a damper control motor on-line for about $150. Repaired myself.

They discovered multiple leaks in the duct work and loose strapping allowing the units to sag. They corrected both problems and the units now work MUCH better. They confirmed that we had sufficient levels of refrigerant in all three systems. The biggest time, however was spent on cleaning all of the dirt and grime off of the coils - they did a very thorough job of it.

They worked well with the equipment vendor to try to repair the old unit. I ultimately decided that it was not likely to give me the reliability I needed so had them replace the unit. The process went smoothly, the installation looks very good, and it has been working flawlessly ever since.

It was 100+ degrees outside and the a/c went out. I looked on Angies list to find a vendor to save us... these guys were rated reasonably well and so we called them. They were responsive and knowledgable. Within 24 hours we knew what was wrong. We had a fried circuit board in an 11 year old A/C unit. The next day they were able to replace the part. The service man was very professional and knowledgable. Price was reasonable compared to precious experiences we had with AC repair vendors. I will use them again.

Everything went well, until I realized I still had a hot house. Then it would not be good for me to continue to call the same company and not getting the results that were paid for.I am not sure whether I could use this company again to date. I liked their promptness, service personnel at the call-in center and at the home were great, but I did not get a finished product without possibly paying alot of money for a small repair.

Superb service! - Here's why: 1. They answered my call and worked with me to schedule a time that fit my schedule that same day. 2. They only asked for a 2 hour window of commitment with the expectation I would be called within 15 min. of their arrival. (which they did) 3. They arrived at the house before me and waited - without leaving or canceling the job. 4. They were in professional attire, polite and respectful. 5. The job was done in 10 min. 6. They fixed the problem. As someone who works in sales - they provided exceptional customer service! I will certainly recommend them to others.
