Total Rip Off! We are on a regular maintenance schedule with them and had them out to fix our AC unit that had stopped working. While I feel like a bone-head...all that was needed was changing the AA batteries on the thermostat. After providing the tech with 2 of our AA batteries...and with a total time of 15 minutes...they charged us $99! We have a lot of quality service providers and I have never been charged $99 for a 15 minute service call where they don't even use any parts and just use the customers parts! $60 - Normal...$99 - Rip off. Complete disappointment and not plan on using them again:(

Fortunately, Service Experts came out to my house nine months earlier for the same problem so the cost was covered under their warranty.

Summary: 100% satisfied with their professionalism, quality of work and prices. I had talked with another of their customers recently and he had highly recommended Church Services since I was thinking about replacing the current AC for multiple reasons. So when the AC died on Friday, June 28th, I called them and they got the system running that day. I also had asked to discuss a new system with their sales rep. I'm a very mechanically/technically inclined engineer, and I found their sales person (John) was very knowledgeable on how and why the new systems were much more efficient and cost effective. He looked at all the current installation, to understand which equipment would fit in the available space (and through the attic ladder). Then recommended several systems. His sales pitch was all information, no pressure, and no attempt to sale up. I did decide on a nicer unit based on my home size, and usage model and anticipation that Austin energy rates are going to continue to increase. The crew (Miles and Steven) showed up yesterday (Monday) to install the equipment. They were a on-time, very professional, very careful manuvering through the house, did a great installation, answered all questions well, sealed and anchored equipment (almost artistically) ... it looks great! They finished in about 5 hours and left the place spotless. Their install manager (Mark) came by to inspect and walk me through all the components. That went very quick since I had already received all the information I needed from the install team. Another very friendly and professional person. Church Services takes care of filing all of the rebates (except Federal Tax rebate) and warranty cards. I already received email confirmation from Bryant on the warranty registration. The new system is much, much quieter ... cooled the house down quicker .... should have noticeably lower bills. The friend who recommended Church tracks all his utilities and said his electricity bills had dropped to match what they predicted. Depends on your house size, insulation, set temperature, how hot the summer is, ... but I'm expecting to save over $500/yr. I'm extremely satisfied.

Everything went well. This was an excellent experience.

It went great. They came out very promptly. I know that I had some issue with the air conditioning drainage and it ended up being covered as part of the tune up as well. He also answered a lot of questions I had.

Found there was leak in my condensing unto coil. Told me I would need to replace the condensing unit. I looked at unit myself and found the leak on elbow just inside the service door. I cleaned off fins from the area and had Bastrop Air come and solder the leak and refill the leaked freon. Service experts charged me $99 for diagnosis. I did have to pay $750 for the repair but much less expensive than a new unit. I received standard follow up call from Service Experts and complained to the survey guy. I the tried to contact Service experts for 3 days. Could not ever talk to anyone and had to leave messages. They would return my call a day or so later and I was not home - thus never could talk with anyone at the company and finally gave up. Tired of trying to get through the system. Will not use them again. One previous time they soldered an elbow near the compressor, in a different unit, and one year later same elbow leaked. Had to pay several hundred dollars for repair and freon. Should have have learned on that one

They were great. They were very fast and awesome. They offered a contract for the next year but I didn't want to pay so much. They came promptly, they came out when they said they would come out and they did everything that I asked them to do. I would use them again, I have saved their number.

The problem was identified within twenty minutes of Jose's arrival. He had the part on him and had everything up and running within an hour.

Church Services did a really good job. The best part of it was that they came out on a weekend and they honored the Big Deal price and didn't charge us any extra. They were pretty good; I don't have any complaints about them. They honored the coupon, they came right away and out on the weekend so they went above and beyond. I was very happy with everything they did.

I was satisfied with their promptness. The person who worked on the drain was very punctual and knowledgeable. He was able to repair the drain and left no mess. Their communication with me was outstanding.

I was not happy with this service at all. He showed up with a shirt with another company's logo on it. What I wanted done was a repair for one leaky valve shut off under the lavatory (bathroom). He immediately quoted me for $187. He explained the $29 was for coming out only, so we went around and around for a while about me requesting they at least subtract the original $29 I had paid. He also asked to take a look at my water heater, and he said he would repair one small issue, he said he did. I went out and he had not done that either. It was about a 15 minute job when all was said and done. His work was good, I was just disappointed in the pricing and attitude about it. I was also surprised when the truck nor the person had the company name on him.

They did a good work. They are efficient when they send somebody.I like that tell tips and explain things. I like them a lot. Their price seemed reasonable. They did not even charge me after they fixed the leaking ductwork.

Bought the Angieslist coupon for Church Services June 2012, paying $29 for a service call. Called them December 7, 2012 to schedule a service call to inspect and possibly replace my disposal, and inspect other plumbing while they were here. The lady who answered was very nice, and said the person I needed to talk to was unavailable, so she took my name and number and said they would call back. They never did. I postponed the repair, until about a month later when the disposal was no longer doing the job. I called someone who had done a great job for me in the past - Allstate Plumbing, and they did a great job again (on Jan 3 2011) - friendly, punctual, knowledgeable, and the repair has been great these many months. Church Services never called me back. I went with someone else and I guess I'm out the $29 coupon, because I just got a notice that it expired. Lesson learned.

I returned from an out-of-town trip on a Thursday evening to find my house was an oven. The next day I called my regular service company and they couldn't send anyone until Saturday. When the tech looked at the unit (it was 15 years old), he suggested getting a new unit rather than expensive repairs on a unit that was well beyond its useful life. I checked with three companies and the prices were pretty much the same for the unit I wanted. The thing that set Service Experts apart was their responsiveness and extreme customer service. I called on Saturday expecting to leave a message for someone to call me back on Monday. Instead, the sales rep answered the phone and said he could meet with me on Sunday morning. He arrived promptly, explained everything clearly and had what he needed to finalize the deal. The only thing he couldn't do is give me a time since all schedules were in the office. I figured I was looking at sweating for a few more days but about an hour later the sales rep called and said they had an opening on Monday morning (his boss happened to be in the office on Sunday and was able to check the schedule). The installers arrived exactly when promised. They went right to work and were completely finished by 3:00 PM. They didn't leave a scrap of trash or dirt behind.

Things went very well, on time and completed quickly. Had 1 problem with the blower motor. It was replace in a timely matter.

I used Strand Brothers several years ago, the adviser then was very polite and professional. He answered all my questions patiently. I ended up replacing the entire AC system (including duct works) for the whole house. I was happy with this company then and referred some of my friends to them. Because of the previous experience, I first contacted the Strand Brothers for my new house?s AC airflow issue. This time the adviser came on time as usual. Later, I was astonished by his poor professionalism to his customer. During the process, I asked a lot questions as usual, which made him lost his temper. He took my questions as that I did not trust his professional opinions and complained about my interrupting when he speaks. After finishing the process, he did not give me estimation but said that he would email it to me or call me. It's been one week, I have not heard from him nor receive email of the estimation. I?m not certain whether or not I should trust the company any more. But, one thing for sure that this bad experience would certainly cancel the good one I had before, and I will not use them this time.

I paid an extra other than the bid deal of $69 for my own safety. What had happened was that the water pan for the condensation was flooded, and I already had a problem with the ceiling. So, the young man who came out just put a switch that would set up the air conditioning once the water pan is not flooded again. So, I would not lose the ceiling in my bedroom. I ended up paying a $120 for it, but it was a safety feature that I was not aware that I needed that was a very good investment. That was over the big deal. The reason I called them out because I knew there was water leaking unto my bedroom ceiling, and it was coming from the air con. They saved me a lot of money by doing this because a new ceiling would probably cost more. That was really good. They were two young men. They were very professional. They came at the appointed time. There were no problems. They explained to me why I had the leaking in the ceiling and that there was a simple solution. I paid a $120 rather than a few thousand to replace the ceiling. I did not even know that product was available, but it was not like a forced sale thing. It was just a good idea, and he was correct.

good fast service and also Chris replaced some inner workings on the shower faucett that were aged and not working well.cleaned up after, gave my bill to me and left. thanks-job well done

Their work was excellent! They were on time, cleaned up after themselves and they didn't intrude in the home. We didn't have any interruptions and had no problems with them! I would recommend them highly!

They did a great job in filling out the information for a rebate, they made it really easy. The conditioning unit had a leak a couple years later. They noticed the unit was still under warranty, they came out and fixed the issue at no charge. The provide quality service.

The provider came out and give me an estimate for the AC insulation. When I showed and the retaining wall surrounding AC unit they stated they were no problems with the installation. They knockdown the retaining wall with the installation and initially refused to reimburse me for to repair. After threatening to call the Better Business Bureau they agreed to pay half for the retaining wall repair. I had a service contract with the company and it would come out and tell me everything is fine. I had energy audit done by separate company and told me there was a problem with the way the instant installation of the AC unit in my attic was performed. Strand brothers refuse to acknowledge any problem with the unit. Finally one of their employees came and checked and admitted the unit was installed wrong and was blowing cold air in my attic. I canceled my contract with them and would never use them again.

The work went fine. They came, checked it out, were friendly and then left.
