Malone Plumbing

I called this morning (Monday) as we have a toilet stopped up. I told the young woman that we saw them on Angie's List and would like to have them come out and fix a toilet. She told me that they could not come out until a week from Thursday. Not THIS Thursday but NEXT Thursday. Her response was, "Yeah. We're real busy around here." I told her we could not wait that long and we were new to the area and asked if she could recommend someone else. She responded - in sing-song no less - "Sor-ry...we can't recommend anyone else". I got the impression that she found this pretty funny. Her attitude was 'It sucks to be you.' We just moved into a fixer-upper with plans to do extensive remodeling after the first of the year. If this is their attitude I don't think I'll be using them. Some of the other ratings on here claim to have received excellent customer service. Too bad I'm not one of them.

I have special needs due to hip and back problems. I cannot bend over and have a harder time straightening up. I called Malone Plumbing, told him what I needed and he said he needed a little time to think out how to work this special needs problem out. He came back within 2 weeks and installed a heavy duty hose and 3/4 turn faucet on both front and back for less than $150. Very reasonable and now I can turn on front and back hoses without any physical discomfort. For the winter I simply disconnect hoses using quick connects and cover the lower part of the faucet, something my hubby can do.

I called several plumbers about my stopped up sewer line,but everyone of them couldn't respond for at least a couple days. I became upset and started to dig the line up myself. While I was doing so, a friend drove by and saw me digging in my yard and stopped to ask what I was doing. After explaining my situation she called Malone Plumbing for me. He responded that same afternoon. I originaly wanted just an estimate, but was so happy with the price quoted I told him he had the job. He said he would get the job scheduled as soon has he could. A couple days had past and things were getting worse so I called him back at told him what was now happening he said he would check. I later went out on some business and returned home later that evening and to my surprise he was digging up the sewer line. I asked him if he had it on his schedule for today and he said he did not, but from the sound of things he needed to get on it now. That kind of concern by a home repair craftmen now days is far and few between, usually what you get from most home repair folks is, I'll get to it as soon as I can then you set and wait.
