Texas Air Pro

I liked them so well I signed up for a one-year maintenance program. My overall experience with them was excellent.

I contacted TAP on a Friday afternoon and set up an appointment for the following Tuesday to get an estimate on a new heating and air system. Not only did David give me an estimate, he gave me four estimates. He thoroughly explained all of the options and exactly what the job would include. After thinking over all of the estimates we had received. I called Nick on Thursday afternoon and set up the installation for the following Tuesday. The crew showed up that morning and went right to work. They completed the work that afternoon and did a very good job of cleaning up before they left. I couldn't have asked for a more courteous crew to work on my system.

The initial inspection indicated that a laundry list of items needed to be updated to my 12 year old system. On the day the work was to be completed, the crew was running late but called to let me know when they should be expected. When they showed up, they got right to work and had everything completed within 2 to 3 hours. They were very professional, clean cut, cared about their work, and made sure that if I had any questions that I had a contact number to reach them. I'm very pleased with the work I received. Texas Air Pro will be the company I use for future inspections and repairs.

I got bids from several contractors before selecting Nick and Texas Air Pro. Nick's price was not the lowest, but it was far from the highest. But more than the price I was impressed with his effort to explain what was needed and how his recommendation would provide the solution. It's too early to know if the system will perform through the hot summer months, but the scheduling and the installation all went perfectly! Nick and his team were timely, professional, friendly, and tidy. I have no reservations recommending them

I cannot say enough about the professionalism of Nick and his employees. Truly, the best contractor we have ever used. Fair prices, responsive, trustworthy and VERY knowledgeable. Here's our story: Our downstairs unit quit cooling. I had used Angie's list to find them for a previous repair about a year prior and was very pleased. So, I called them again. Nick diagnosed the issue and presented us with the financial options for fixing the unit or getting a new one. Due to the age of the unit and a desire to increase our efficiency we elected to replace. I checked with two other companies and found them to be priced about the same. We selected them because of our previous repair experience. They scheduled the job for two days later and I cannot say enough about their professional courteous employee work crew. While they were working one of them noticed that our upstairs unit had actually been installed incorrectly (The plennums were reversed - big plennum on end where small one was supposed to be and vice versa) This meant that our unit was "choking" and running harder than it should have been because it had to force the air through the small end on the output side. We had spent about the same amount of money with Avery Air two years before and did not see the savings on our electric bill we expected and now we knew why. The unit was having to work extra hard to push the air through a smaller than required plennum. After installing the new unit the crew also repaired the older unit for a very good price. I am sure it was at his cost. After the new unti was installed and the old one properly configured we have been seeing a 20-25% reduction in our electric bills even though it was a much hotter summer. We have been VERY pleased with the equipment and the service provided by this company and we highly recommend them. We also signed up for a preventative maintenance plan and they came out same day to enroll us in the program and perform the fall PM. We also asked them to come balance some of the air-vents last week and they came and completed the work the same day. I had not written a report about them at the time of the install but felt compelled to let my fellow AList members know about this company.

Overall, everything went very well.

Shopped around for a while and Nick's proposal, explanations, and work approach won the business. Work was completed on-time and on-budget. Could not have asked for better. Clean, neat, professional, on-time - could not have asked for a better experience. Hope to use Texas Air Pro for the next system down the road.

Excellent service. I had a previous quote on heater repair & was told new furnace was required. Texas Pro Air explained some things that could be done to repair & gave quote for same. Difference in price...$4,500.00 verses $70.00 & if repaired below $200.00. Needless to say quite pleased with this outcome. Many thanks to Texas Pro Air. Will recommend to family & friends.

Service performed in professional and courteous manner. Technician arrived on time and was very professional. A small leak in the A/C system was discovered, corrected, and system filled.

The original estimate offered us three choices with a list of pros and cons for each option. Got the estimate on Wednesday and had the full system installed on Friday. The employees were extremely professional, worked from 9:00 in the morning till 9:30 that night in 108 temps. The system was up and running that day. We got exactly what we expected and wanted -- no surprises. We are very happy with the product and the service. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a great HVAC system, great service with professionalism. GREAT COMPANY!

My HVAC system died three years ago and I'd been using window units since that time. The great heat wave/drought of 2011 made that impossible to continue. I got estimates for a new system from five reputable companies (as recommended by Angie's List). I was impressed by all of them, but just couldn't afford their quotes. I was getting pretty discouraged, and then came Nick Wright from Texas Air Pro. His company had glowing reviews here on Angie's LIst and I can see why. His professionalism was impeccable, he was very knowledgeable about HVAC systems, and his quote, for the same equipment, was 15% to 20% lower than the rest. Not only that, he added on extras like installing a new light and outlet box near my attic unit, and new decking to reach the unit. The other companies wanted to upcharge for those items. During the install, his crew was amazing! It was literally 150 degrees in my attic that day, and yet none complained, and all remained kind and cheerful throughout their 10 hour day (they couldn't stay in my attic for more than 10-15 minutes at a time). Here's the kicker ... the air handler they had quoted wasn't in stock and so they put in a much higher quality unit (about an $800 upgrade) for no charge! My house is cool and quiet for the first time in years and I can't thank them enough for making that possible for me! I will highly, highly recommend Nick Wright and Texas Air Pro to anyone who needs HVAC work done. Bravo!

David quickly diagnosed the problem, explained the cost and then began his magic. He performed the repairs promptly and with the kind of professionalism we all wish for when needing emergency A/C service. WOW and double WOW! They were pretty good. They were very informative and did a good job like they said they would. I would use them again. I am planning to call them again because I need some follow up work. The workers that came out were good; they were all respectful. I work from home so they managed to keep the noise down. I was very satisfied with the work.

David from Texas Air Pro came to my house and made an evaluation on what kind of unit I needed and gave me 5 alternatives to choose from. He was very professional and had all the information that I needed to make a good decision including the prices, capacities and what the benefits of each system is. I was impressed with the prices and the ability to install a new system in just a few days. Scott and Ken were the installers. They were great. Showed up on time, installed the system and made sure it was charges and operating correctly before they left. They even swept up my garage and hauled off the old units. I was extremely impressed with these guys and the overall experience of dealing with this group of professionals. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any kind of air conditioning or heating repair or installation. It is nice to talk to a group of guys who are so customer oriented and really care about doing a superior job.

We had trouble with our home warranty sending just anybody out here to do our work when we had the air problem. We got Texas Air off of Angie’s List. They couldn’t have been any more professional. I will not even use my Home Owner’s Insurance to do air conditioning work. I will just pay Texas Air myself. Everybody else made so many mistakes and I have had one person come in and correct another person’s mistake and so on. However, Texas Air came in and redid my whole AC and everything. They even took me up to show what they did. They showed me what problems were there before and how much it would cost. They even gave me other options if I didn’t want to go along the higher end. They are very professional. I would highly recommend them to anybody. I would give them the best grade on every category. I have had a ton of AC guys out here. I would definitely use Texas Air Pro in the future too.

My 30-year old A/C unit finally gave up the ghost.. I found Texas AirPro on Angie's List and called them because of the company's overall rating. David came at the appointed time (within hours of my call) and gave me options both for repair and replacement of my old unit. I was very impressed by his professionalism. I conferred with both Nick and David on replacement units and felt comfortable relying on their advice. The installation was scheduled immediately. The young men who performed the installation were of such good character and integrity. My experience with this company was exemplary and I recommend them without hesitation. He came when he was scheduled. Checked both units, talked to us about what we had and the problems we were having keeping our house cool. Then he set about looking and cleaning refilling the freon. He spent about 30 minutes on the units then spent about 30 minutes talking to us about everything we needed to know about a new unit. He took off his shoes each time he came in the house.

My air conditioner quit working on Mother's Day. First thing on Monday, having consulted Angie's List, I contacted Wright Bros Heating & Air Conditioning and explained to the owner that there was a medical situation and so I needed to get the air back on. He was very considerate and assured me something could be done but he'd first have to consult his schedule. He phoned back as promised and said his schedule was packed but had checked with his son Nick, Texas Air Pro, and he was available if that would work for me. I already knew from Angie's List that this was also a reputable company so had no qualms about saying "Yes please!" Nick came out and showed me what had gone wrong with the unit - which was well past its sell-by date. He gave me options and I chose to put in a new 13-SEER unit. He and his men worked installed the unit that afternoon. They were thorough, efficient, professional, customer oriented and fairly priced. I really appreciated the consideration that was shown by Nick and his father. Highly recommended.

I think I found them on Angies List. Water was draining improperly from the system and they fixed it. They gave me some good advice on things to keep an eye on. Things that may need service in the future. It is a 10-year old unit and everything is still working fine a year later. I am happy that it is still pumping cold air.

All went very well. Nick and his staff are of high integrity. Although I did not do major work this time, I would favor Texas Air Pro for a system replacement when the time is right.

Nick showed up when he said he would, protected our carpet from their traffic and got to work. His crew was happy and pleasant and courteous. They were very informative and complete. When they were done, they cleaned up everything and the only reason I could tell they were here was because I had a new, shiny and much more efficient HVAC system.

I called during one of those bad ice days because the compressor was literally shuddering and moaning. Nick, the owner, walked me through switching to the emergency heating coils and we set up an appointment to look at the system. He appeared on time and gave me a lot of good information. I had been saving up to replace the outside system. His price was fair and the installers did a professional job and also sealed up some loose duct work and the overflow pipe. Great job!
