UNETHICAL BUSINESSES MAKE ME SICK: Ninety days ago, I made the decision to support the North Richland Hills location of Evans Vacuum Cleaner to replace our vacuum. I am ALL ABOUT supporting the small, independent business versus the Walmart's of the world and I even said that to the salesman. I found a Dyson vacuum cleaner that the guy said he refurbished himself, he sprinkled some glitter on a piece of carpeting and demonstrated how it got every piece up. I paid $270.00 for it plus tax. I brought it home and a week later used it, but noticed that nothing was in the canister afterwards. I tested it out by throwing something on the floor and nope....it was clogged. Off to @evansvacuumcleaner I went and the same guy took it from me and 30 seconds later had it unclogged. Home I go. I've used the vacuum three times since and every time end up back at the store to remove the clog. Today, I go back there and I tell them that this is the FOURTH TIME I have had this thing in and the manager says, "I'm really sorry, but Dyson's are known for having problems with clogging." Well isn't that a daisy? How is it that the slimeball salesman who sold it to me didn't share that piece of info? That was conveniently left out of the conversation. The manager was all about giving me a credit towards the purchase of a much more expensive vacuum though.....$100.....I said, "Wait a minute, you sold this to me 90 days ago for $270!" and his reply was, 'Well, it's three months old." So there ya go: #evansvacuumcleaner @evansvacuumcleaner is an unethical, sneaky and unscrupulous business. If you are ever in need of a vacuum, do NOT go to [*** Link removed ***] . Go to Walmart where you at least know you are buying a cheap pile of ****.

My experience with Evans has been that the customer service is extremely poor. The primary gentlemen that runs the store (and I am assuming the owner as well) has been rude and unhelpful each time we have been in after the initial purchase. When we dropped off the vacuum for the routine annual maintenance, they attempted to tell us that there was no such thing and that they did not perform these services. After a brief discussion they took the vacuum in and said they would call us when it was ready. A few weeks later we received a call stating the vacuum was ready to be picked up. When I arrived at the store to retrieve the vacuum, the gentlemen told me they did not have vacuum for our last name and further suggested that they did not call us. Upon retrieving the ticket, we found the vacuum under the incorrect last name...at which time the owner told me that "Perhaps next time you could more clearly pronounce your name." After getting the vacuum home, we discovered that a necessary screw has come out of the handle, rendering the vacuum useless at this time. My wife went into the store to inquire about getting a new handle screw and again the gentlemen was rude, contrite and completely unhelpful. He informed her that "screws were not parts" that they did not carry them and if we brought it in they might be able to help us fix it...but that it was not their fault (even though we never even suggested it was their fault). All in all, they seem very put out when helping us on anything after the sale.

This shop did not know when I brought in my vacuum that I had just had my it in for repair at another shop in town for 6 weeks without having the work done - waiting for the part. EVANS VACUUM looked at the machine, pulled the part off their shelf and and did the work for me right then. They showed me the new models of Miele vacs while I waited. The whole job took less than 45 minutes. The service cost was 40.00 (I also purchased several boxes of bags and filters). I am very grateful to them for the quick courteous service. I will definitely purchase my next machine there and will continue to have my Miele serviced by them.

We told them when we brought it in if it wasn't over a specific price to go ahead and fix it without a phone call. They didn't fix it or call with estimate. We called a week later to find out they had not fixed it yet. Would use them again because there are no other repair services close to us.

THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB AND MET MY EXPECTATIONS.

VACUUM WAS READY 1 DAY EARLY. THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND ADVISED ME HOW TO KEEP VACUUM FROM BURNING UP. HELPED PUT VACUUM INTO MY CAR.

VERY POLITE AND VERY REASONABLE. EXCELLENT WORK DONE.
