My salesman/estimator, Mike was very easy to work with. He even stopped by during the installation to check on me, my house and his crew to make sure things were going smoothly. While there, he showed me the radiant barrier decking that they were installing, and gave me a "hands on" demonstration as to how good it really works. It was slightly chilly that morning, and he walked us over where the decking material was stacked in my driveway. A simple walk around the decking to the opposite side from the sun, and you could easily feel the heat being reflected off of the decking.
A few weeks after the installation, I noticed a few small areas on the rear of my house where the shingles had buckled. I called to my salesman Mike, who had a very skilled repairman, Luis, at my house the following weekend. He repaired all of the buckled shingles, and even pointed out a few to me that needed attention, and repaired them as well. Great attention to detail!
My roof looks incredible and now that it is summer in Texas, I've noticed a huge difference in the temp in my house because of the turbines ventilating my attic.
I can't thank these guys enough. 4 thumbs up!

Once sent out to my moms, the crew was drinking beer on the job, as witnessed by myself, my mother and a neighbor. I confronted the supervisor and all he offered was that it was good for the souls, stating they needed more than water and Gatorade. The salesman came out to look at the roof work ongoing at my mother’s house and I informed him of the drinking. He may or may not have actually called anyone and told me that it was the first time they had used this particular crew and would not use them again. I informed him that I was going to call the sheriff to file a report. He didn’t want me to and stated that he would take care of it, but obviously not. They did not leave my mother’s home until late in the evening (about 9:00) and very early the next morning , the same crew was working on a neighbor’s home. I would think drinking on the job would be breach of contract.
The salesman called me for 3 days, being told that someone would be out to complete the work, but no one showed up for quite some time. The salesman told me that if we were that unhappy, they had our checks, we’ll just call it even, and we can find someone else. A few of the neighbors had their mortgage tied into their checks and would obviously not be able to take them up on this offer, as it didn’t just include the roof. However, I chose to take him up on his verbal offer to walk away. I paid $10,000 and they will not be back to my house. The total contract was going to be for over $13,660. I was told that we’re even, they’ll send me a letter of certification, and close my account. The next day a crew showed up and had none of the necessary materials. I told them that I already told the salesman that I had no work for them here as I didn't want any part of that company back at my house.
A crew came out on Wednesday, August 10th, showing up to do work. I immediately called the office and the woman on the phone had to speak with a supervisor. Once she called me back, she stated they were scheduled to come out before I chose not to have them complete the work. I don’t understand how this was possible as that decision was made weeks ago. She told me to tell the crew that there was no work for them and to go where they came from. I advised the crew of this and they told me that my house was the only address they were given. This obviously upset them as they drove about an hour and a half from Dallas.
I called back to the office and the owner of the business was put on the phone and basically chewed me out. He told me he was tired of hearing about it and hung up on me. I called right back and asked to speak with him again. He got on the phone and told me to call someone else and hung up again. I felt him haning up on me is breaching the contract.
On Saturday August 13th another contractor showed up stating that he was sent by DFW Premium Roofing to install gutters. I also told him that I have told the company three weeks ago not to send anymore contractors to my house.
I don't understand why DFW Premium Roofing keeps sending contractors to my house and not any of the neighbors that are still waiting for their work to be finished.
It was a nightmare from start to finish.
March 5, 2012 The company has since taken me to court twice for breach of contract. The first time they took me to JP court and on 1/12/12 it was dismissed without prejudice. The agent from DFW was upset and filed on me again, but he didn’t show up to court, which was on 2/29/12. This was then submitted with prejudice so they cannot sue me again, but they can appeal it to take me to county court. What this does is that they are tying me up so that I cannot get someone else to work on the roof, siding, and interior underneath. They have harassed me and kept me tied up, and my house is incurring more and more damage while it sits. This was all an insurance claim, but I have not received a bill and they have not submitted the proper papers to my mortgage company. One of their requests was that I retract this statement from Angie’s List, but after such a bad experience I want people to hear about this. At one point, I had to call the sheriff’s department because they said they would take my AC Unit, and I was told by the sheriff’s department that if they did it would change from a Civil to a Criminal matter and they would step in. They contacted DFW to tell them that they had better not take my AC unit.
UPDATE: March 21, 2012 - They appealed the prejudice from 2/29/12. I have not been served as of yet but I do know that they did appeal. They have also included within the breach of contract lawsuit that I retract any statements I have made to Angie's List. They are doing everything they can to keep me from getting my home fixed. Buyer Beware!
"On July 10, 2011 DFW Premium Roofing contracted her for $13, 025. 68 to put a new roof on her mobile home, replace the vinyl skirting on the right and left side and the back of her mobile home, remove and replace her back door, remove and replace a window and screen, replace a light fixture, and replace the A/C unit. On July 28, 2011 we schedule the roof to be put on, which it was put on. It is a GAF Elk lifetime shingle. The A/C unit was scheduled to be installed on August 02, 2011, a Monday. She called on Friday July 29, 2011 saying her A/C unit had stopped working and wanted someone to replace or repair it that day. The A/C contractor rearranged his schedule and replaced her unit the same day, July 29, 2011. On Monday, August 02, 2011, she called our office saying the wrong roof had been put on her mobile home. I explained to her that all GAF Elk Architectual shingles are a lifetime shingle and that the manufacture was going to continue to use the old wrapping paper until it was all gone. At the point the new wrapping paper would say "Lifetime." A couple of days later, I went to her mobile home to meet with the contractors to complete all work per the contract. At that point I was told by her to leave her property and not to return. I tried to explain to her about the wrapping paper on the shingles but she refused to listen, so I called the account representative of our supplier. He told her the exact same thing I had told her, but she didn't believe him either. So I gave her the phone number to the GAF Elk manufacturing representative. She refused to call the representative for GAF Elk, called her insurance company and had them stop payement on the check. She then called her mortage company and told them not to endorse the check. She refuses to pay DFW Premium Roofing the $8,195 she owes for the roof and new A/C Unit and will not allow DFW Premium Roofing to complete the job or let them back on her property. All that we asked from her was for her to call the GAF Elk representative to verify that we had installed the correct shingle on her roof. She refuses to call the representative for verification of the roofing system that was installed on her home and wants to keep all the money instead of paying us for the work that was peformed.
