Very positive, will continue to use them in the future. I like that for the annual spring & fall service I have the same technician year after year. It was really nice last year when he asked about my oldest dog who passed away earlier that year. He noticed she was missing.

My neighbor ran over our air conditioner and it stopped working. We are kind of happy with Northern Air Heating & Cooling. My husband has actually worked in that industry so he knows a little bit about air conditioning. We had some other people in the past come and look at it, and we've got completely ridiculous suggestions. They come very quickly and fix it, so we don't have to wait too long.

I've used them for the last two years. In south Texas, heating and A/C is our lifeline, so we went through Angie's List because we had just bought a house here and I was kind of shooting blind. I looked at the reviews, and they were punctual and even though they were pricey, you got what you paid for. It was a reliable review and that's why I chose them. Every time they come out they're reliable, and I don't mind paying them more than a cheaper guy. That's why I keep calling them back.

I thought it went well. He came when he said he would and did what we asked him to do. Intermittent problems are difficult to diagnose and correct unless they are occurring right in front of you at the time.

Two years ago Anderson AC (now called Northern Air) installed a new Amana AC unit at my house. Around 5 or 6 weeks ago we contacted Northern to come out and do the annual maintenance on it, which they did. Around 2 weeks later the unit stopped working. Arturo Alcedo (Northern's technician) came out to find the problem. The Hard Start kit that was originally installed in the unit when we purchased it had burnt out and tripped the breaker. Arturo explained what the Hard Start Kit was for and said although we did not need it for the unit to run it would help prolong the life of the compressor. I decided to go ahead and have it installed. Arturo did not have one with him and so called in for the price and wrote up a work order. The parts cost $185 (Arturo wrote this on our invoice) and there would be no charge for coming back to install it as we had already paid for him to come out on the original service call. We then paid Arturo for the service call $79.00. Arturo came back and installed the Hard Start kit. We weren't home at the time so he left the old parts and an invoice by the front door with a note to call in and arrange payment. Also left was the "5-2-1 Compressor Saver" (i.e. Hard Start kit) information sheet. I decided to look it up on the Internet to learn more about what it actually did. I was VERY surprised to find that the kit I was charged $185 for retails for $40, and no doubt a commercial account like Northern's would purchase it for less than that. I sent an e-mail to Mr. Clinton (I believe he is the owner) and Mr. Aaron Cari the GM. Mr. Cari & I exchanged numerous e-mails over a period of three weeks. I made it clear that I would pay a fair price for the Hard Start kit but I had no intention of paying four and a half times as much as I could buy it for over the Internet. Then I reviewed the original invoice from 2 years ago when Northern installed my AC unit. It states quite clearly on the invoice that I have a 10 year parts and labor warranty. So it turns out I should not have had to pay for either the service call or the parts. I sent this information to Mr. Cari who the proceeded to send me an invoice for of $184.60 for the Hard Start kit. I have since contacted the BBB and filed a complaint.

Jason phoned me shortly after I left a message with their answering service. He told me when he could be at my home. He was prompt, courteous, and took the time to explain what the problem was. He also gave his opinion about ways in which I could improve the energy savings. He repaired the air conditioning within 30 minutes.

We are pleased with their work. We found them on Angie's list and they were very quick to respond to my email messages and phone calls. They supplied a prompt estimate, showed up on time to scope the work and also showed up on time for the repairs. They completed the work as outlined in the estimate and charged me the same amount of money.

We have all our systems covered under a home warranty, but were told it would be 3 days before the warranty service provider could come out. Thinking it was a small problem and not wanting to wait, I called Anderson based on Angie's List reviews. The office staff was excellent and fit my request in for same day service. I really appreciate their speed. My mother-in-law was at home for the service call. The tech. showed up when he said, and was professional. He determined that the problem was a faulty gas valve that needed to be replaced at a cost of $480. We thanked him for coming, paid his service call fee, and waited for the Warranty service firm to come out. They determined that the issue was not the gas valve, but a loose wire. The tech fixed the wire and we instantly had heat again. The warranty company service man even showed me how to work my new programmable thermostat. Anderson could be right and we may need a new gas valve, I don't know. But I do know that the warranty company got the heater working instantly for a $60 service call. I ranked Anderson lower on quality to reflect that the fix that they proposed was far more expensive than the ultimate solution that solved the problem.

Very well. The serviceman answered some questions I had about the system and the type of filters to buy (said Filtrete are not necessary unless you have severe allergies). Said that cheaper ones are fine to use.

Our heater had been repaired by a different company a few weeks before Thanksgiving. When we got back from the holiday we came home to a chilly house and the heater hadn't been fixed. I called Anderson and scheduled an appointment that same afternoon. Charlie came out and cleaned a part that had collected some debris. He said that replacing it was not crucial, but we decided that we wanted to go ahead and do it, especially since the price quoted was so reasonable. The part was ordered and he came out 2 days later to install it and also install a digital thermostat that we had purchased and he urged us to out in. I was happy with everything. Cindy was a pleasure talking to on the phone and Charlie did a great job! We paid just under $200 for the parts, labor and service call. I just wished I had called them weeks ago so that I could have saved the other $200 we had paid the first company that didn't fix our problem. Thanks guys! Casey and Jeffrey Poche'.

Initial response to phone inquiry from me was very good. Team arrived at time agreed. However, problem resolution required a part to be ordered, and them to return to fit it. They called and set up 3 different times to fit the part, but did not show nor call to postpone the first two revisits, which was frustrating. On the third reschedule they turned up and fitted part. System now working fine. Price seemed reasonable.

It was easy to schedule an appointment, and I was given a service window from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm; however, on the day of the service, they offered to let me know when they were about an hour away. That allowed me to stay at work as long as possible. Anyway, the technician was very nice and polite, and he figured out what was wrong (there was a clogged drain pipe and a lot of dirt build-up on the outside unit) and explained it in detail. He showed me what he did and answered my questions with patience!

The job went very well overall. They found a piece of insulation blocking the system. They also added gas to the system about two pounds. They cleaned up after they were done and I would use them again.

Anderson had previously serviced the same unit, replacing the capacitator and recharging the freon. After this work, the unit still lost freon charge within a few weeks. Anderson completely refunded my previous service charge from the price of the new unit. I opted for a much larger unit in an effort to increase the efficiency of my overall electricity usage. They showed up within the time window given, although they did call me a day in advance to ask to move the service call to one day later because one of their service professionals' wife was having a baby. (I was only too happy to comply!)

After having been given the run-around by my now ex-homeowners warranty company, I called Anderson in the morning and was able to have a technician come out that afternoon. I had an ailing condenser and coil, but not on the same unit. They helped me figure out what to do with one unit that had a newer condenser but an old coil and one with a newer coil but an old condenser. They moved the newer condenser to match the newer coil and installed a brand new condenser and coil. All done while I was at work. 100% satisfied.

Service professional changed two capacitors and had my house cooling again quickly. He gave me advice on my options to upgrade my units and how to maintain them in the interim, all very professional with no pressure.
