Showed up on time and helped to evaluate options to maintain or replace our two water heaters. Ended up making decision to replace both 10-year old water heaters (one had water in pan). Desire to convert to tankless was evaluated but was more money than I wanted to spend.

They showed up early in the 'window'; great plumber Thomas and later his helper Richard (attic water heater). Speedy finish, went over everything, perfect clean up. This job went without a hitch, even though Excalibur was the only one of 3 companies to quote without a visit to my house. No add-ons; no high pressure up-sell, AND they were ~35% less than my other two quotes! Highly recommend these guys!

The estimate was much more reasonable than the 1st one I received. The work was exemplary and the technician was courteous and conscientious about taking care of my home. After the work they came back by to clean the pipes as residue had built up and my water was coming out dirty. They did this additional service for no charge. The water heater works great. 10 year warranty!!

I contacted excalibur about an electric hot water heater that was heating intermittently. The plumber who checked the unit said the problem was an external on/off switch. He removed the switch and charged $219 (with a discount coupon) , which took a total of about 15 minutes. The unit continued to work intermittently after this. Less than a week later, I contacted another plumber to look at the hot water heater. This plumber identified an internal leak and found that one of the heating elements was no longer working. The second plumber found that the water heater was under warranty and got the unit replaced entirely. I don't know how excalibur could have missed this, and how they can charge so much for so little/ineffective work. I contacted them about the issue and was told the owner would contact me about my concerns. Several days later and I still have not heard from anyone at Excalibur.
