My home Water heater stopped working. I called Capital Care plumbing just before noon and they came in an hour and fixed the problem by replacing the thermostat and pilot assembly. I was explained the whole work they did and work went smoothly without any problem. technician sounds very knowledgeable.
I will definitely use them in future and also recommend them to my friend.
So he used the plunger. We've been told by several plumbing companies that using a plunger on the disposal side shouldn't be done. So Daniel said "Hmmmm... really?"then went plunge, plunge, plunge and the clog was gone.... gentle plunging is okay. Can't argue with that results. A little embarrassing that we called someone out for that but the plunging thing was the second thing learned today
ALso, he and his co-plumber came out on the 4th of July without batting an eye and at the same rate for the service call (as far as I can tell) as any other time
The third thing that I learned today was that I have a plumbing company that I can count on from this point forward.
"Hi, (removed member name), Thank you so much for you review. I am glad you were pleased with our work and hope to continue to built our working relationship for years to come. Sincerely, James Warren"
James, the owner, and a helper came in drilled through the concrete to move the toilet about 18 inches. They moved the waste pipes and fill water pipe, then filled in the hole. They made sure it was were I wanted it before they moved to the next job.
James and his helper then started to set the tub. They moved any pipes that needed to be to set the tub, and set it. The tub was a soaking cast iron tub and was heavy. They made sure it was where I wanted it and continued to do the rough in for the plumbing for the shower/tub. Before they completed the rough in for the tub/shower plumbing they protected the tub with a canvas drop cloth. After they put had set the tub where and how I wanted it (they had to use some treated wood to level the tub) they calked the area around the bottom of the tub and leveled the floor around the tub and where the toilet would go.
Next James and his helper worked on the sink. There were two sinks in the area and I wanted one. They took out all the extra pipes and did the plumbing for the sink. They checked with me to be sure it was where I wanted it.
After the drywall, tile and paint were completed James and his helper came back to set the toilet, sink cabinet and sink and put the finish on the fixtures. James and his helper kept working until the job was completely and beautifully done.
There were a couple of problems that James had to solve and took some time to do so. He told me the problems and continued to work on it until it was solved. One problem was the drain for the tub was a problem and he made a tiny mark on it, which I could barely see. He called the manufactuor to have a replacement sent out and was here to replace it.
The other problem was setting the sink. I had a clear glass pedistal sink going on a dark wood cabinet. The difficulty was with how to calk the opening in the cabinet where the sink pipes go through. What ever was used would show at the bottom of the sink. He tried several things, all of them left and ugly uneven ring that could be seen at the bottom of the sink. James finally figured out a solution and it is beautiful!
I can not praise James enough for the job he did.

no hidden costs and no attempt to "upcharge"
Would use them again-
"Hi[Removed member name], Thank you for your kinds words, and please keep us in mind for any future plumbing needs. Please let your friends and family know if they need a plumber to give us a call."
The price is always shocking when you hear it but like I said, the job was larger than we expected so we thought the price was reasonable considering the work that they did. The job actually took three three seperate days/trips so the price truly was a good deal if you can actually say that about plumbing prices.
Whenever we contacted them, they always responded quickly and they were good about calling us to let us know when they were on their way.
As the work was done, James asked us to come and inspect the work being done before things were sealed or closed up. I truly appreciated that he asked us to inspect it instead of the other way around. They were extremely professional through every step and cleaned up after themselves.
We will certainly be using them again if we have any other plumbing needs.
While you're kind of captive when your water heater begins to leak through the ceiling - I can't shake the feeling that I was overcharged.
Remove old tank from attic (which is not easy), replace with new Rheem 50-gallon tank.
