MASTER PLUMBING

Doug flushed the water heater and said that he didn't see any metal fragments coming out and that it was probably due to one of two things; the inside of the water heater was pristine or the tubing had completely corroded. Since the heater was over 15 years old, he thought it was probably the later and suggested we might consider replacing it at some time.

Doug returned our call promptly, scheduled an appointment, and arrived right on time. Work performed with no mess. He's a very pleasant gentleman.

Inspected and stated price, obtained parts did work. Great service.

Job 1: Better than expected. He expertly repaired a problem that had actually been made worse by a paid "handyman's" previous attempt to fix it, and his price was much better than an outrageous quote from another plumber. Job 2: Admittedly a relatively simple project that I just don't have time for, but I didn't hesitate to call Master Plumbing to get it done promptly and correctly. This is the second project they've done for us and we continue to be pleased with all aspects of working with them.

Doug was very courteous and explained all the options of how to remove the old flange before starting the work. Doug was very efficient and completed the job in less than an hour.

He was supposed to be out at 8 am, but he was a bit late (30 min.) due to a fire alarm being pulled at the hardware store. He was very good, and very reputable.

My hot water heater upstairs was leaking to the floor below. It was 6:30 a.m and I didn't know what to do, I looked in the phone book and I only spoke to the phone service people-they said they would have someone call me after 8 a.m. I remembered I belong to Angie's list-I looked up plumbing and called Master Plumbing at 6:30 a.m and the owner Doug, picked up the phone (I woke him up). He told me what to do to stop the water and said he would be here at 8 a.m. He arrived when he said he would checked out the unit, then went to get the part needed to complete the job. He was done and gone around 9:15.

From the first, a most positive experience. Since, it was after hours and Doug provided an e-mail address, I e-mailed him and he almost, immediately responded with helpful information about what to look for in a new faucet and also when he was available to work on my project and gave me an approximate cost/hourly rate. He responded quickly to my e-mails, e-mailed me that he was about to call me, called me before he arrived, and arrived on time, as scheduled. Doug worked quickly, effectively, neatly and completed both tasks, within an hour, which totally amazed me.

Doug called ahead to tell me he was on the way, arrived on time as promised, and told me exactly what he was doing on each task. He also covered potential future issues, options for repair (replace shower head vs. buying new), and things to watch for in future. He was pleasant, professional and quite friendly. He's an owner-operator, and he takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

I had a very satisfactory experience with them. They were knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I was pleased with the service because they were able to fix an ongoing problem. I would recommend them to other people.

I loved them! They have great plumbers and I was thoroughly happy with them. I had other companies come and they could not fix it and they were able to. They did it in a timely manner and didn t leave any mess. When I called they sent someone the same day to do the job and he came right when he said he would.

He stood by his work without any complaints when he had to.

I called him the same day I got number off Angie's List. He came next morning after courtesy call to let me know he was on his way. The first bathroom he left out the caulking and one of the screws wasn?t screwed in at all but as far as the shower it is working. In the other bathroom he stripped the screw on the handle and the screw of the sleeve assembly. On the sleeve assembly he twisted so much that it damaged the valve behind the wall. He then gave us an estimate to repair the valve behind the wall at $325 which didn?t need to be fixed before he came. He was on a phone call when he was here and I needed to ask him a question but he jester to me to hold on. After he left the valve was leaking and that is how we knew it was damaged and it wasn?t leaking before. I called another plumbing and he sawed the screw off to remove it.

After adding new granite countertops, we had our regular plumber install new sink faucets and handles. It did not go well and it took them four days and three different plumbers to do the work. One week later, the faucets were still loose. Instead of calling the original plumbers, I contacted Doug. He was able to tighten the faucets and fix a couple of other things the original plumbers missed.

I made contact with him via email. Received a call 3 days after I sent it, but he said he had just received it. Since I've had similar experiences at times I had no reason to doubt his word. We scheduled an appointment two days from the date of the call. He and his helper arrived within 20 min. of the appointment time and he did call when they were on the way letting me know they would be a little late. They got right to work, and didn't balk at using a faucet that I had already purchased. I know some plumbers will only use items they furnish. He applied the $25 Angie's List coupon to the total fee of $115, making the total paid $90. This price did include a couple of small items (connecting nuts).

Doug is a great guy that I would recommend to anyone. He was honest, diligent, and professional. He didn't mind taking the time to get the best price on the parts and explaining the process to us. He was very timely and performed the work in a professional manner. You can't go wrong with this plumber.

I sent an email early in the morning to the company's contact. Not long after, he called the house and said he'd be over in an hour. He was. He landed up replacing a fair bit of piping, commenting that the previous work we had done had used outdated plumbing ("Quest" stops to sink and dishwasher) and drains were incorrectly installed. PVC piping and turnoff values were replaced with metal fittings and flexible piping. Cost more than I had expected, but seemed appropriate for the extensive work done. My wife was home, and she liked both Mr. Robertson and his apprentice. Cost was $330, minus the $25 Angie's list coupon. So far, nothing is leaking! I would definitely have to side with the previous evaluators on Angie's List who liked this company. Bill was carefully itemized, including all parts.

I called him at 5 pm or so and he was here within an hour or two,- even calling to let me know that he was running a little late. He was courteous upon arrival and promptly went to work. He determined that the water heater was finished (it was pretty old) and that draining it was the best way to make sure it did not cause any damage. The project was not complicated, but his willingness to help out on a Saturday afternoon/evening was great. We discussed replacement options and, as other plumbers before him, he recommended that given the space limitations I should go with a tankless heater.

My children complained about the water pressure in the main bathroom. I had recently joined Angie's List so I logged on and did a search for a local plumber. I called Master Plumber because it was close and had many "A" ratings. I called Doug on Thursday. He scheduled to come out on the following Monday. I was expecting to have to rip out the tile and replace the entire thing-showerhead, hot and cold handles, but he investigated and found that it was just a minor block. He replaced a broken handle and charged a reasonable $91.50. I was very pleased with him and his ethics!

Doug did the work. He was on time, pleasant and finished the job quickly without any problems. The price was reasonable. Overall, very satisfied and would hire him again for future repairs or projects.

My husband had e-mailed Doug and told him what we needed. He called before he arrived and he was on time. He knew everything we needed done and explained it all to me. It took about 4 hours to complete as he had to cut into the drywall. He cleaned up the mess when he was done. He had to leave once to get a flapper for 1 toilet but he told me he knew he probably would have to go get it but wanted to see it before he did. I would recommend to all my friends.

Doug was wonderful. He took the time to explain what the problem was and gave me options as to the repair process. He was upfront and honest about the cost as well as potential problems involved with the specific repairs. He went out of his way to make this a "painless" experience, and it was obvious he had my best interest in mind. I would recommend him at any time.

He dug a hole and dug out huge rocks that were over the pipe. It was a copper pipe, he saw that is had been fixed over 15 years ago. He repaired it, and filled in the hole. He was courteous, everything he said is what happened. He is a gentleman and his price was good. I have nothing but glowing comments. I did get 10% off for the Angie's List discount.

Doug came to fix what this do-it-yourself-er started but didn't finish. I had bought a new bathtub/shower faucet assembly to replace one that just couldn't be repaired anymore. I cut a hole in the wall behind the bathtub to access the faucet plumbing. But then replacing the faucet assembly looked like a bigger job than I wanted to tackle, so I called MASTER PLUMBING. Doug was able to come over that very same day and install the new faucet assembly and connect to the shower. He runs a one man business out of his home. He doesn't stock a lot of supplies, so he had to run up to the store to buy some cooper fittings that he didn't have. He was very professional and did a good job. He even gave me a 10% discount when I mentioned that I found him on Angie's List. His charges were $85./hour for the plumbing installation, plus cost of supplies. I had already bought the faucet assembly, and I repaired the hole in the wall myself. Highly recommended!
