TSI Services LLC

We had damage to our roof from Hurricane Ike. However, the roof was old and we had planned to replace it anyway. We did not submit it as a claim on insurance. We had difficulty finding a roofing contractor to do the work after the hurricane. We finally did so after three months. A friend had his roof replaced by TSI Services, LLC and was pleased. I note that his was not a flat roof and ours is. We called TSI Services and Tom Maloney came out promptly and gave us a bid. We had other estimates to replace the roof before the storm and TSI's bid was about in the middle. Since he was recommended by our friend and no one else was readily available, we went with TSI. The job was to be permitted. I discovered later that there is no record of any permit being obtained. The job was subcontracted out to Salazar Roofing Company. Tom Maloney did show at the job site every day and reviewed the work. The front part of our house is two story and the back part is one story. They removed the roof from the back one story section the first day. The next day they arrived and pushed standing water from the second story roof onto the first story, which had no roof. The water came pouring through a section of our ceiling. Subsequently, they replaced the roof over about a two week period. Every rain we have had since resulted in leaks, either down the walls or through the ceiling. The first ten times it happened, some one from Salazar roofing or Mr. Maloney would come out within a few days and supposedly fix the area that was leaking. But the next rain, we would have the same or a new leak. The damage at first was limited to sheet rock and wet carpet. We asked to be compensated for the damage. Those phone calls went unanswered. When it rained a few weeks ago water began running inside the wall from the second story roof to the first floor dining room and onto the hard wood floors. Frantic calls to TSI and Tom Maloney went unanswered. We were very fortunate to get another roofing company to come and help us. They stopped the leak. The new company came out later and went over the entire roof. Turns out that Mr. Maloney's group had not sealed any of the vent pipes and had not properly sealed the edges of the roof. All of this had to be redone at an addtional cost of over $1000. In addition, we have had to repair the inside damage from the leaks. Mr. Maloney will not return any calls. If you see Tom Maloney, anything to do with TSI Services, LLC or Salazar Roofing Company run away as fast as you can.
