Payless did what others would not do -- install a coil I got from my brother-in-law in Kansas City, who is in the AC business. Payless did the work quickly and at a reasonable cost. Also installed new drain trap, applied tape and mastic to all joints and edges, sealed ducts on plenum. Price included all materials. Very friendly to work with. Charged what was in the quote.

The fan on our condenser unit broke off and caused us to have to replace the whole unit. We have a home warranty, so we called them immediately at around 8pm on Saturday (6/25). They contacted Payless Services and understandably, the earliest they could come out was that Tuesday (6/28) around noon. Jim came out, on time - he was actually there before I was able to get to the house. We had already met him once, for the heater a while back so we told him to go ahead and go around back to check out the unit. Once I got home, I let him in the attic, so he could see if our dinosaur of a unit would be compatible with the new freon. After that, it was in the hands of the home warranty. We fought with home warranty for a few days (they told us it would be over a week before they could get a new unit ordered and in)... Payless told us they could have a new unit installed and running by that Friday. Karl, the owner of Payless, was very helpful and friendly, while we worked with the home warranty and eventually we ended up using the buy out option and paying half of the costs in order to get a unit installed on Friday. We scheduled Payless to come back out on Friday, 7/1 sometime in the afternoon (I can't remember what time the appointment was actually set for). They showed up early, a little after 10:30am and it was pouring down raining. They did as much as they could in the rain and then thankfully, it cleared up and they were able to complete the job by 12:30 (earlier than they were even supposed to be there!). Jim was very nice and friendly. His partner, I can't remember his name, was also very friendly and courteous. Karl, the owner, personally came out to see how the job was going and to haul off the old unit. He took the payment and chatted for a while about various things and explained the warranty. All in all, great group of guys.

After getting two quotes for a new fan and capacitor from two big named AC companies. One quote was for $1,499.00 and the other was for 1,600.00 I called PAYLESS and was told that my fan was working and all I needed was a new capacitor. PAYLESS saved me a bunch of money and I was very thankful for them being so honest with me about what needed to get fixed. I will make sure to recommend and I make sure to tell all my friends about PAYLESS and how honest they are. Thank you PAYLESS for the fix and a great start to my cool weekend.

They were awesome. They did a great job. I was so happy. The price was way better than anybody else I could find.

I had recently moved into a rental home, and there were all kinds of issues. The management company contracted out 3 different vendors; of the 3 companies contracted for various things Payless was the only one who contacted me immediately, kept in contact with me, showed up on time, did a great job, and was professional. I do not know the cost of the services as it was billed directly to the company I am renting from. Jim was my technician.
