Description of Work: Replaced outside condenser unit. I compared prices and shopped around on Angies List before deciding to go with Paul's. Paul's might be a small business, but he did a great job and he did not charge me an arm and a leg.

 + -1 moreI used Paul previously each winter to check my heater. He completed AC Check in May because although it was running would not cool house. He added 3Lbs freon and gave quote to replace coil and condensor that seemed very reasonable. Back in May I also had another contractor look at the unit. They told me 4 to 6 lbs of freon was needed and the price per lb was higher than Paul's quote. They wanted to charge to complete a leak check, and the quote to install a new unit was very expensive.
Description of Work: Checked because A/C was not cooling. Checked attic unit for leaks, found none. Found and fixed leaks in low and high side lines valves. Compressor was locked up. Added three pounds freon. Added hard start kit. Quoted to install new condensor and, if needed, evaporator coil in attic unit but didn't think it was needed. I called him on Sunday July 21st and he came by the next day. The unit is 16 years old.

 + 0 morePaul St. Julian is the owner; he is very good at working with us. When he installed the furnace, he took one third down and let us pay the balance in two months. He always works with us by holding our checks and such. He's very professional, polite and caring. He did a great job, he's honest, shows up on time and I would highly recommend him and I know I will continue to use him.
Description of Work: Paul's Mechanical Service installed a new furnace and cleaned out the gas line leading to the house.
