Alex (JS Tree Service salesman) pushed for doing the service immediately, even when I told him I would be away, caring for my grand babies. He said he would take video of the work in progress, send it to me….send me a before-after picture too. Pushed for service to be done immediately. Promised a “professional” tree service, well-balanced tree, good for 5 years. We are not the cheapest because we are professional tree service, not like having your yard crew trim your tree, he said. We are a 5 star company, he kept saying. Well, not in my book. Unfortunately, I still don’t have ANY video or photos, despite being promised them 3 different times (twice by Alex, once by Jasmine). My tree looks as good or worse than the trees next door, trimmed by their lawn-mowing man. Is this why Alex pushed for service when I was gone? My Ring video shows a crew working about 2 1/2 hours on the total project. The tree can’t have limbs replaced. Trimming was a buzzcut from the base upward, not balanced. No thinning in the upper part of the tree. No shape. In my flowerbed, my Gardenia bush is gone. My flowers are either gone or covered by dirt / mulch in several places. My tie backs on one shrub were knocked off but not replaced. I told Alex some of the comments my neighbors made about the poor job done. He argued. He was unconcerned about the missing plants. He was also an hour and a half late for our appointment, but expected / took full payment, no adjustment offered. I was “taken”. Perhaps others will see through Alex’s silver tongue better than I. The quality of work on your priceless trees depend on it. He drove off in his BMW. Well, maybe at least HE is happy.
