Description of Work: Called for the $75 “we will unclog your kitchen sink” that is often advertised on tv. Explained to them my kitchen sink is clogged and did they still have the special for $75 . He asked if I had clean outs I told him I had one outside he said it would be $69. So I scheduled a time and waited. When plumber arrived he said I didn’t have the right pipe to clean out and it would cost $340. Never even checked the clean out outside ! What a deceptive advertisement I told him to leave!

 + -1 moreBEFORE THE PLUMBER EVEN GOT TO THE VALVE'S LOCATION, HE BEGAN SAYING THEY MAY HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE WATER LINE FROM THE HOUSE TO THE STREET AND THAT IT WOULD PROBABLY COST $1700, $1800, MAYBE $2000. HE CHARGED A FEE TO DIG DOWN TO JUDGE THE STATE OF THAT WATER LINE, BUT LATER INCORPORATED INTO THE JOB'S OVERALL COST. THE INVOICE IS HANDWRITTEN AND IT'S DIFFICULT TO ASCERTAIN WHAT I PAID FOR. JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING THE PLUMBER SAID IMPLIED DIRE CONSEQUENCES AND I FELT I WAS ''PLAYED'' INTO ACCEPTING THE PRICE. IN RESPONSE TO A LETTER I SENT TO THE FIRM'S OWNER, AN EMPLOYEE CALLED ME BUT NEVER RETURNED MY CALL TO HIM.
Description of Work: THE KNOB ON THE EXTERIOR WATER CUT-OFF VALVE HAD RUSTED OFF AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
