Joe Hardwood Floors

Rob gave me good advice, showed up on time, and provided me a quote before he had left. Even though I had a time crunch when a new tenant was supposed to move in, he was able to meet that timeline. His crew showed up a few days later, right on time. They replaced some 3/4" sub-floor that had dry-rotted, and then pieced in the new wood. Then all of the floors were sanded, stained and polyurethaned. The workers, led by a gentleman named Eduardo, was very professional and meticulous. He spent a lot of time to showcase for me the different stain options, as well as discussing the relative merits. The entire apartment looks fantastic. They were able to excise almost all of the stains and imperfections that other contractors had suggested would not come out. They also installed transition strips from the bedrooms into the bathroom, at the doors, etc, even though this was not included on the estimate. I had also contracted for 1/4 round moulding to be polyurethaned and put around each room, and this also was completed with the same degree of care and professionalism.

It went very well!! They removed old carpet and pad. Floated floor and prepped upstairs hall. Installed new hardwood floor. The installers cleaned up each night.They were polite and professional, did a beautiful job!!!! Great company,would recommend them.

The persons doing the work were prompt and professional. I will absolutely contract them again to do other projects to my house.

I originally contacted Joe Hardwood Floors to see about refinishing an existing floor and then installing some additional floors to match. Upon initial inspection Rob and his team indicated they could do the work and quoted an excellent price. After asking some further questions about the process we ended up going with all new flooring for not much more than it would have cost to do the refinishing job which was another nice surprise. The installation was quick end result is outstanding. Rob followed up to make sure that everything was up to standard. The end result is excellent, and do much so that we hired them to do two more rooms (bedrooms). The end result in these spaces is also outstanding, so much so that our general contractor noticed the result and said they look great. I would happily hire Rob and his team again.

Victor was fantastic! Super professional and explained everything in great detail. The crew worked while no one was at home and everything went great. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Joe Hardwoods. Tell them your budget and they will work with you to find the right product or send you to one of their floor suppliers. We ended up choosing a product and color and they picked it up for us.

They were very professional and curteous. The price was reasonable considering they had to pull up existing flooring and re-do 2 of the rooms. They matched the wood perfectly and made the work look as if it was completed together. It is BEAUTIFUL. We had a slight issue with the estimator turn-over and an increase in our costs, but they were willing to work with us on the extra costs and were very reasonable with the issues. We would recommend them to anyone!!

THe owner came to our home to provide the estimate and schedule the work. The floors were finished to our satisfaction, and the owner personally checked on the quality of the work.

Everyone that I talked with, from the installers to the owner, was very helpful and nice. Everything was explained fully and we are very happy with the installation.

After several very bad experiences in replacing my hardwood floors this past year, Joe Hardwood Floors was a breath of fresh air. Rob gave me a very competitive estimate. Victor, who was in charge of the job, was very accessible and handled everything with professionalism. The workers were punctual and were very careful with my walls, doors, etc.. while doing the job. The job was completed on time with one glitch. The last coat of polyurethene developed bubbles. After two attempts at fixing the problem, Rob and Victor both came out and we decided to sand the floors down and begin again, at no cost to me. Even though it took a couple extra weeks, Rob and Victor took very good care of us and made sure we were happy. The floors are now done and are beautiful. Joe Hardwood Floors were very easy to work with and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Update: After realizing I had not been contacted, I now am working with Rob to get my floor fixed. He is working to make this right and I will post the results when the floor work is done in a few weeks. ------------------- I found Joe Hardwood Floors on Angie's list and had them come out to fix a 5' x 5' hardwood floor area in the front hallway. I made an appointment and Victor came out to review the work. He was on-time, felt the job was not a big deal (1/2 day) and we agreed on a price and date to come back. While he was in the house we reviewed some small swatches of hardwood floors to ensure a match, as the original floor was not available. We agreed on an option. On the date of the service, a crew (without Victor) came out with flooring, and when they pulled out the planks, it did not match my current floors at all. So, I called Victor back, told him of the situation, and he said he would look for a better match and get back to me. After a few days of no contact, I checked in and he indicated his family had been sick, and that he would drop by a few samples for my wife and I to review no later than in a few days. That was several weeks ago, and after repeatedly e-mailing and calling, I have heard nothing. No responses, no indication of if or when the samples will arrive, so I can only assume they're not interested in the work anymore. This was certainly not the experience I was expecting. Very disappointing.

We recently purchased our first home, and wanted to have the hardwood floors sanded and refinished before moving in. We called a couple of companies, and Joe's was the quickest to respond. We set up a time to meet at our home. Victor was prompt in his arrival. He was friendly, courteous, capable, and answered all our questions. We received a printed quote and and an estimated start date on the spot. Later that day we received a call indicating there was an opening in their schedule if we wanted the work to begin sooner. We were happy with the quoted price, and so took advantage of the opportunity. The crew arrived on time on a Sunday to begin work. We peeked at there progress several times (after the crew had left), and were pleased with how tidy things were. The crew did a great job and finished within the estimated time. Our floors look BEAUTIFUL, and we couldn't be happier with the results.

Overall, the experience has been just fine. They do very high quality work and have been very reasonable.

Overall, the experience was okay. We didn’t like the fact that we would’ve needed to get another company to move the furniture, since they don’t do that. Their bid wasn’t competitive compared with other companies that were going to move the furniture. We ended up going with another company.

There was a small communication issue, but in the long run, the crew knew exactly what they were doing and did a really good job overall.

Joe's Hardwood came out to give a free estimate and Rob was very professional and friendly. He significantly beat the price of a previous estimate. Work started very soon after the estimate. The crew came in and removed carpet and installed the new hardwood flooring in a 4 day span. It was a very positive experience and we will use this company again.

I called Rob and he gave an estimate, and, as others have attested, there was no hard sell. I got an estimate from a second firm, and this firm's estimate was $2000 higher than Rob's, but with a bit of a hard sell. Needless to say, I worked with Rob. He was very flexible about scheduling the work, which was important since my travel schedule was fairly erratic. His installers even showed up on Sunday to finish the project. His installers are very good, very skilled, and the results are beautiful. I will have him refinish the floors on the second floor later this year.

Joe Hardwood was one of several hardwood flooring vendors that I researched, interviewed and received a bid. I worked with Rob Navon, owner, and I could not be more pleased. Not only were they the most cost effective, the installers were professional, timely and did an outstanding job. I would recommend, and have, Joe Hardwood to anyone needing hardwood flooring.

The contractors arrived within the expected window and quickly got to work. I was impressed that they didn't rush through the job, even though we were their last appointment on a Friday. They stayed until they were finished with all the necessary steps, which required them to stay through the early evening. They were also very conscientious about being neat. They made corrections as necessary as they returned to apply additional coats of sealer. The quality of the work was exceptional and the owner, Rob, called each day to update us regarding when the next step of the work would be completed and also if we were happy with the work. One day they were running a bit late and Rob called us to let us know.

Rob worked with with us to make sure we were happy with the color of the stain. After work was performed we needed to add a 3rd polyurethane coat which increased the price of the job by about 30%. All company's only quote 2 layers to be competitive but if you get quotes I recommend that you get quotes on a 3rd polyurethane coat so you get pricing as part of the bid. There was minor damage to one of my walls and Rob arranged for the wall to be repaired and repainted.
