Went as proposed and expected

The owner of the company, Mr Stroman came out to look at the job.
He was very knowledgeable and I liked the way he explained things.
All question I had with regard of choosing the right shingle type were answered very honestly.
He did not want to sell the more expansive product, which is very surprising.
He provided us with the lowest estimate.
The job itself was rather straightforward, since it was a one story ranch house.
They removed the old shingles, added decking and protective tape in the valleys and put new regular shingles back.
Also the replaced old vents and re-caulked them.
The work was done very quick, it took the 4 worker 1 1/2 days to completely finish the job.
Previously, I did not had good experience with contractors in Houston, whether plumber, electricity or landscaper.
Mr Stroman was the only contractor I was completely happy with: in regard to cost, speed and quality as well as customer service.
I would highly recommend this company.

I had a very good experience. They worked very efficiently and repaired the roof very well. Quality work. The price was reasonable.

We recently purchased a home, knowing that there were some loose roof shingles. After the first rain, we discovered that there was also a small leak. We found Coal Roofing on the BBB website (this was before we discovered Angie's List), and gave them a call (they were acually one of half a dozen companies we called). They don't have a website and are very low tech (I get the feeling they communicate only by phone or snail mail), but the owner was super nice and was able to give us an estimate over the phone. He knew exactly what I meant when I was trying to explain our problems. He said he could get someone out that day to fix the problems. We went with this company because many of the other companies we spoke with did not have the customer service we were looking for. The work was done quickly and there is not any residual evidence of leaking. We had to pay by check because their credit card machine was broken (which I thought was a little sketchy, at first), but it all worked out. It was totally legit.
