To put it mildly Paramount Century 21 sucks. I truly don't want anyone to get in their clutches like I ended up being. Don't use them. They are rotten. They really screwed us up big time. I have had nothing but heartache and problems with them for the last 2 years. When we went a leased with them they had just started their leasing company. They had no idea what they were doing and they had all kinds of problems and situations. We were understanding at first. The tenant we allowed to be put in there was constantly late with rent and at first the late fees the tenant was charged were coming to us. Then they said that the charges were supposed to be going to Century 21 and not to us. We got used to getting the late fee and then in midstream it was changed. They said the contract states that. So they changed in mid stream. When I went to renew the contract they gave me 5 days notice. My husband was in the hospital and I didn't have the time to check out tenants. I was not happy about that because I was not given any time to prepare or anything. I was upset because they didn't give me the proper time to remove the tenant if I wanted to. So we signed the contract electronically and I told them my husband was in the hospital and that he couldn't sign it and they said just sign it for him. I wasn't happy about that, but I didn't have the time to follow up or do anything I just needed it taken care of. I kind of wondering about their scruples and morals. We have had issue after issue and I have tried to get a hold of the guy in charge of our property for this or that and things breaking. We set up a home warranty to cover ourselves. It was a good thing we did, because the air conditioning broke. He wasn't doing his job managing the property. We gave him all the information he needed, yet we had to go back and manage everything that he did when the air conditioner broke. We got charged for the entire cost of the unit when we had a home warranty. We gave him the home warranty information. All he had to do was contact them and be the intermediary between us, but he didn't do that. We had to contact, we had to go through, and we had to exchange all the money. Our contract says that they are supposed to manage the property and he wasn't doing that. Every time the rent was late we would call and say hey where is the rent it is like the 20th of the month and they were like we haven't gotten a hold of the tenant or heard from them. One day I got so mad with them. I told them my home there was a mile and half from their office and to go by there and visit the house within 5 days if you haven't heard from them. They tell me they are managing the property the best that they can. Then why am I paying $200 or 10% of my rental to you if I have to do all the calling and I have to follow up. I just want it to get out that they are crap. In October we made the decision to let the tenants go. So I called the real estate agent we were dealing with and told them that we were going to give the tenants the opportunity to either purchase the house or move out by the end of their contract in February. He never paid any attention. I have an 11 year old who pays more attention than this guy. He was like "uh huh, okay, uh huh, yeah." I called him in November and told him the same thing over again. He never said or acknowledged that he heard me the first time. I called again in December and said the same thing over and over again. Then I went through and did it again in January. I said they need to be out by February 28th, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. He said okay no problem. He never once acknowledged that he heard me in the last 5 months when I told him the tenants needed to be out. No acknowledgement whatsoever. At least after the first month he should have said yes you explained it to me in October that you wanted the tenants out. Most people acknowledge that they talked to you. He never gave me any sign that he even heard me. I was just as rude back to him and I hung up on him several times, because I was just so mad at him so that I didn't say something to him that I would regret. Then they were supposed to be out on the 28th of February and they call on the 20th or the 22nd saying that the tenants were not moving out till March 4th. The tenants told him and he just relayed the message to us. I told him they had to be out by the 28th no ifs, ands, or buts about it and that I am taking possession of the house on the 28th. I didn't get my keys till after March 1st. He catered to the tenant, but yet I am the one paying his bill. I want it out there that they suck so bad. They get as many Fs as you can put on the paper. Everything is F. I am so upset with them. I have spread the word about them to as many people as I can. I am letting everybody know do not use them at all.
Description of Work: We have used Paramount Century 21. We have a house in Texas and we put it up for sale 3 years ago. It didn't sell, but that wasn't any fault of theirs the market was just horrendous. What we did is we went through them and put it up as a rental property 2 years ago.
