California Closets - Houston

The Houston office is dysfunctional. Started with Jylian the design consultant that does not know how to measure appropriately. Now we are left with an issue of cutting pre-existing trim so our “dream” closet looks uniform. The install guys that move like snails but do not clean as well as snails said “Just put some matching paint over it” to blend the miscalculation. Will not utilize this company going forward. If you see an automobile with a crapifornia closets logo with a red “X” across it, feel free to flip it the bird or middle finger. To be clear I will make car signs to place on my automobile with the “X” across the crapifornia closets logo. Give it the middle finger wave. I will not deface their property like they defaced mine. Just my thoughts….

The design consult was great. The job was a disappointment. I had a second kitchen space in my newly constructed home turned into a Pantry/Prep area. My new home wood floors were damaged and multiple facets of the job needed to be done more than once which took a two day job to over two months to complete. The wood floor repairs have still not been done.

This review supplements my comments from 11/25/2015, which were lukewarm.
The workers did a good job installing the product, and the product itself exceeded my expectations.  I've enjoyed having the work space and think it will provide many years of good use.  The President of the company contacted me about customer service issues and will resolve them.  I appreciated his assistance. 

I hired CA Closets to install office work space in a spare bedroom and redo a reach in closet.  While the sales person was nice dealing with their office is a nightmare.  The individuals they use to schedule work have no concept of people who have to work for a living and simply schedule at will.  They seem irritated by having to coordinate with the customer.  Where is the customer service?  Also, be prepared to get inundated with Docu-Sign documents that have little explanation, errors, and are very one-sided.  For a simple job I've had to resign about ten times. The only job change I made was to eliminate part of the original project. I will re-review once the work is complete. I also got rude notes from the office that I owe them $$ when in fact I've paid more than the 50% required deposit.  I faxed over a copy of my canceled check. The remainder is due upon installation per their contract.  So far I don't have a good feeling about this, but I don't want to be penalized by losing 10% of my deposit to cancel the job.  They are a hassle to deal with!!i  I expect the work to be complete by mid-December.  More than.

Everything turned out ok with this company. My closet is so much more organized. They space has been much improved.

They were good every way. They prompt, professional and we would definitely use them again.

California Closets did not live up to our expectations. The shelves that were built was superb, but we had a problem with them coming out of the walls. When we called to let them know that the screws and anchors were coming out of the walls, They said it wasn't their fault. We did not overload them with too heavy a load. They did not fix them.

THEY WERE ON TIME AND PROFESSIONAL. THE SELECTION WAS LIMITED BY PRICE. ULTIMATELY THE RESULT WAS GOOD AND FUNCTIONAL. IF I HAD BUDGETED MORE FOR THE PROJECT THE RESULT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, BUT OVERALL I WAS HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS.

THEY WERE GREAT IN EVERY ASPECT. THEY WERE VERY NICE, PATIENT, AND PROMPT, WHICH IS VERY HARD TO COME BY THESE DAYS. THEY WERE VERY ORGANIZED IN THEIR PAPERWORK AND DID A GREAT JOB WITHOUT LEAVING A MESS. I WAS VERY PLEASED.
