Bay Star Appliance Repair

When our washer quit unexpectedly on a Friday afternoon, I left a message with Bay Star, as they were listed as certified by LG for their large appliances. It was Friday before Independence Day the following Tuesday, so I wasn't too surprised when they didn't call back over the weekend. I sort of expected a return call on Monday, but when no call by mid day, I called again and got the voice mail. No response. I certainly expected a call by Wednesday, but when no response by mid afternoon, I called again. Someone answered, we had a brief exchange and I decided I didn't want to invest any additional time in Bay Star.

Through my warranty company, Bay Star was dispatched to check a problem with my dishwasher. We scheduled the appointment and they missed the first scheduled time with no call or explanation. I had to call and reschedule. They made the second appointment, diagnosed the problem and said they would order the part and call us when it came in. We paid a $45 service call. 2 weeks went by with no response. I called and was told they couldn't find my work order but would call back in an hour. When I had received no response the next day, my husband called with a copy of the work order. He was told that they no longer accepted warranties and oops, they couldn't help us. They bid on the project and accepted it less than a month ago but now wouldn't do the work. They did not return calls or reach out to us to let us know this. Totally unprofessional and disorganized. Avoid at all costs.
