First off, the guy was late. He didn't even bother to open up the washing machine and just said it would be $500+ to repair, which I of course declined. He then went over to the ice machine in the fridge and the problem was with the water line in the door, but he insisted on replacing the whole unit for $300+. I told him that was not the issue, but he insisted on trying. After he swapped out the whole unit, the problem still existed. He then claimed it was a combination of the unit and the filter. I removed the filter, which he insisted would not work at all, but the water in the door still worked fine after. He then wanted me to pay the $300 whatever and leave with nothing being fixed. I told him to put the old ice maker back and that I was not paying the $300 for nothing being fixed. He begrudgingly did swap it back and I paid the service call fee by card. He said to call the office to schedule a return trip to replace a valve in the door. A few days later, while at work, I start getting these repeated calls on my cell from a strange number. I don't answer if I don't recognize the number. After the 3rd time they finally left a message demanding credit card info again and that my card was bad. I called back after work and they had managed to mess the card info up enough to where Citi shut it down thinking they were trying to commit fraud! I gave them the correct info again and they did charge it, and said a tech would call me back to schedule a return trip. Been over a week and a half later and still have heard nothing. Will not be using or recommending them to anyone!

We noted on Friday night that our ice maker had stopped making ice and when we checked the freezer we noted that the ice cream had also melted. I did some research and contacted Appliance Home Service around 08:00 Saturday morning to request onsite service. I was contacted by Mike and he was onsite by approximately 09:45 and diagnosed immediately that we had a failing compressor as the temperatures in the freezer and refrigerator were too high...though the compressor still seemed to be working...it was not completely dead. Mike stated he would check for an available compressor replacement and if there was one in stock he would be back on Monday to resolve the issue. Later on Saturday Mike contacted me to let me know that there was a compressor in stock but as a contingency he had also ordered one from Dallas. On Monday Mike called me to let me know that he would onsite between 12:00 and 15:00 to do the replacement. At approximately 13:00 Mike arrived onsite with another technician and they quickly replaced the failed compressor. I should mention that Mike told us during the original diagnosis that we should consider getting some dry ice to supplement the freezer and refrigerator temperatures until he could return to do the compressor replacement. This was a good tip and one that we used to our advantage. Now the repair is complete and the 10 year old LG French Door refrigerator is back in business without any loss of food...except for the refrozen ice cream. Fantastic service and we will certainly use their services in the future for any further appliance issues. Kudos for Appliance Home Repair for their quick response, quick repair, and great customer service. We gladly provide a terrific reference for this business.

Refrigerator stopped working late Sunday evening - Yikes! August in Houston - Did a google search of local appliance repair services available in my area, reached out and received a callback the next morning from Barbara. Barbara told me that a technician, Mike, would be by within an hour in a company marked vehicle. Mike showed up as promised and within 10 minutes had the issue identified. He was honest and offered options and once a plan was set, had it resolved within a few hours (fix required part pickup and return). After everything was said and done, works as promised, at a price that cannot be beat. Mike has the knowledge and experience that was able to put me at ease, by speaking in terms this old gal could understand (much appreciated), giving me the confidence and trust in his work - something I have not experienced in years. This independently owned "Appliance Home Service" team is now my go to for ALL my appliance related issues going forward. Thank you Barbara and Mike and look forward to doing business with you again (hope not too soon :>)

They were able to fit me into their schedule so they could arrive the day I called. The gentleman came right when he said he would, and called to let me know he was on his way. He identified the problem as a freezer that had gotten overfilled preventing the door from fully closing long enough to cause some freezing. He gave me the option to unplug the refrigerator for 24 hours and the problem should resolve itself. But, while he was there I wanted to make sure there was no damage. Also a 24 hour thaw would ruin quite a lot of food. So he took part of the freezer apart, thawed out the ice, put it together, and blissful quiet!

This was the second time I have used this company. The first time Jody came out and defrosted and cleaned out the clogged drain line assembly in my refrigerator freezer compartment. The repair was effecftive, but about 4 months later, the problem recurred, so I contacted Appliance Home Service again. Jody came back, and even though the repair was technically out of warranty, he only charged me for a newly available part to resolve the problem (hopefully permanently!), and not for labor, which was very much appreciated. He was prompt, courteous, and efficient. I will be glad to use his services again in the future if needed.

No work performed on the stove at all as I was told the repairman needed to go back and look up in a book whether the parts were still available. The make and model of the cooktop was provided in advance of the appointment along with a description of the problem. Why wasn't research performed in advance of the appointment?

The refrigerator had an exposed wire and cap. The repairman suggested that he would "try" but his effort to repair the wire might not be successful. After about 10 minutes he recapped the wire and wrapped the wires in electrical tape. 

Total cost for this repair - $192! $145 for the refrigerator "repair" and $32.50 for merely looking at the stove and performing no work. Plus tax. 

Ripped off!

Excellent!! Scheduling repair was straightforward. Service technician was able to schedule within desired time frame, called me when on his way, and arrived at the beginning of the promised time window. He was courteous, efficient, communicated appropriately with me, and got the job done! He quickly identified the problem (clogged drain line in freezer causing water leakage into fridge) and did the repair right away. Very positive experience, I would definitely use this company again in the future.

Jerry came out multiple times, and replaced most every part. Jerry was very polite, and seemed competent, but after spending a few thousand dollars, it still does not work properly and now Jerry will not call us back after numerous attempts over a period of several months. To say I am disappointed in this firm, would be a gross understatement.

Mike was our Service Tech. He had it running in a couple of minutes. The knob was broken. The timer switch was loose which would cause the knob to break. He fixed the timer bracket.
Mike was courteous, on time and very professional. He did an outstanding job. He was in and out in less than 20 minutes.

I would try this business but would confirm the owner would perform the service. The owner seems honest and wants to help the customer. The person that was sent was not up to the standards I expected but received a call from the owner and he made things right. This company has a very good rating with the BBB which is what I look at when hiring service providers.

Our Samsung refrigerator went out on a Sunday so we call Appliance Home Service & they came out the next Morning. Our service man Jose was prompt, courteous & personable. He figured out what the problem was and we paid the $65 service call fee and he said he would order the parts that were coming from Dallas & will be here either Tuesday or Wednesday. The next day our Microwave went out so I call the repair man & he said he'd look at it & on Wednesday he came back with the part. After taking it apart Jose found out that the refrigerator was a lost cause (it was only 1yr 10 mo's old). It was leaking freon & the seal system was unrepairable. He also looked at the microwave & it was unrepairable also & he warned me not to use it that it could start a fire.
Now folks... Some companies would have put the part in, collect the 100's of dollars & be gone... But this company didn't, I'd say that is rare in the repair business to find on honest company! I will use them every time I need them. Oh, & they didn't charge a penny more! Thank You Appliance Home Service you are the best!!!

Jose came by our house on Tuesday to troubleshoot our electric dryer.  He determined that the heating coil was shot and ordered another one which he picked up the next day before returning to our house.  Took him all of 15 minutes to replace the heating coil.  Most of the cost was in the heating coil part.

Jose called ahead of time to let us before coming to our house.  He was courteous an professional.  He stayed late to do the work for us.

Repair technician Jose was awesome, always called/texted me well ahead of time before arrival. Worked with me to meet my accommodations for the time. Was very polite and knowledgeable, did a very good job.  Kept me in the loop while we were waiting for the the correct part to come in. Just plain awesome! If I have any other issues with any appliance I will def. use again... They do business right the right way! From the initial call to the office for a repair request all the way until the technician Jose walked out the door.

Jose was always very polite and professional.  He contacted me to set up a time that worked best for me and gave a 2 hour window of arrival time and was very prompt and courteous.  He was only here about 15 minutes and found the problem with my dryer and determined it would be cheaper to replace the dryer rather than repair it.

Jose came to the door, and was very professional.  He helped remove items from the freezer, found the problem, then proceeded to repair it.  He also removed a panel in the back of the freezer, to melt a big block of ice that he had formed.
He showed me the problem and explained everything, telling me to call if there were any further problems.

Service went well.  The dryer, which is only 3 years old, went out on a Saturday.  I heard from AHS on Sunday, letting me know that they would call Monday morning to schedule a service time.  Jose called Monday morning and gave a 3-4 hour window, but was willing to work with my schedule to narrow down that arrival window.  He came Monday and diagnosed the problem but did not have the part, so he had to come back Tuesday.  Again, he worked within the timeframe that I requested and successfully repaired the dryer.  I didn't get a breakdown on the price, and quite honeslty it seemed like it was a bit arbitrary.  However my dryer was in pieces, and there is a service call fee if you don't have them make the repair, so I moved forward with it.  My guess is that the parts themselves were pretty inexpensive though.  However, I did like the fact that Jose did his best to accommodate my schedule.  That's certainly not something that all companies or technicians will do for a customer.

The repair company initiated and followed through with contacting me from my email request.  A human answered the phone.  I called them late on a Friday afternoon and they had someone out the very next morning.  The repairman was prompt and did not charge me for repairs I did not need.  He appeared honest and is considered dependable.  I will definitely call this company again if I have other problems with my appliances!

My appointment was for 9 but my technician Jose did call me at 8 to let me know that he was delayed and wouldn't be arriving until around 10:30 or 11 (the reason for the B under punctuality). He was very friendly, looked inside the dishwasher and noted there was no drain in the bottom so went to look at the tubing and found that there was gunk stuck inside the tubing causing the water not to drain. He cleaned out the tubing and voila, the dishwasher drained all the water! He also recommended that I purchase a cleaning agent called Affresh to help prevent the problem in the future and told me where to purchase it.

Great experience, Jose was very friendly and very thorough and I really appreciated him giving me the information about the cleaning agent. The appointment lasted less than 30 minutes and my dishwasher works again so I am happy with the results! I've used AHS previously for an oven issue and was also satisfied with their work then.
