Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Electrical

Not as thorough as advertised. First tech spent too much time selling a considerable expenditure on improvements. I answered yes on hiring them again but not sure.

plumber was clean, courteous and knowledgeable. Quickly diagnosed and fixed my problem.

We have been using Abacus for many years for both electrical and plumbing work. Since finding Abacus the guess work of who to use for all these services has been removed. They are prompt, curteous and have the ability to do a very thorough job.

On time Prepared w/all necessary parts and equipment. Unbelievable results from new 20 SEER Lennox system.

Well. The work was completed as described.

Excellent work done by the plumber(s) doing the installation. Even the inspector commented positively on the thoroughness of the job for both the re-piping and installation of new water heater. Some very minor problems after work was completed but they were corrected very quickly by the plumber. The only major issue was getting the work done on time. The project was initially planned to take one week; to get the pipes finished and do the sheetrock repairs afterwards. The plumbers started on time (on a Sunday) but were late finishing up and weren't ready for the inspector when he came out Friday morning so the inspection had to be rescheduled for the following Monday. It took the drywall repair crew almost the entire week to complete their repairs and that was due to poorly managed scheduling which was not the fault of Abacus. The repair and repainting eventually got completed to my satisfaction.

Leak was found and repaired. They even put the dishwasher back in place.

Expensive job $150+ that took only 15 minutes to complete. Ask to program timer and was told it's not part of his job description as he refused. I asked again if he didn't know how or just would not do it. He said he knew how but continued to state it's not in the scope of his job. Because of this poor customer service, I will not use them for electrical. I did submit a YELP review as well.

Because of emergency started installation late afternoon and finished at three am. Worked straight thru without breaks. Awesome!

The first visit was a safety Inspection and very detailed information was provided by the technician. After reviewing the information we decided to have them do the work for us. Very professional personnel, the clean as you go aspect was used and I was constantly notified of the progress, and they allowed me to take photos. If anyone asked us who we used I would be proud to say who did the work.

They did electrical work for me 6 months prior which I paid over $6,000. My alarm technician had to go in the attic and told me I needed to call an electrician to repair the light. When Abacus came out they discovered the light fixture was receiving 220 volts. Prior to them doing electrical work in my attic the 110 volt light was working. They would not take responsibility for sending 220 volts to that light and I had to pay them to replace the blown out fixture as well as the labor for the repair. Even with my discount, it was over $300. In my opinion you can "count" on Abacus to not stand behind their work.

They worked well as a team to get the work done. It was done with the least disruption possible. They upgraded our circuitry to code & added convenient additions at our discretion which enhance our existing system. They provided the opportunity to do recommended upgrades, eg new for old ceiling fans, by installing them as a complementary service. They found and corrected unsafe previous work. Payment was very easily arranged & was not addressed until the work was done.

If you have a big job they come right away Small job when they have the time no matter if you are member or not. For small job i need to hire a different plumber due to the delay.

Very thorough and professional. I paid the fee to understand what problems we may have and was happy with that. The recommended solution was so expensive as to be laughable. A one man-day effort plus supplies for $10,000? I almost asked if that included me keeping their truck. I was able to get the problem addressed by our builder at no cost. They did a good inspection but that would be all I'd recommend them for.
