A previous plumber had done the work and they told me to call them so I could get it fixed for free, but, they went on ahead and fixed it for free anyway. I will continue to use them.

The plumbing and water heater installation was done efficiently and I am extremely satisfied with the results. I had a small glitch with the installation of the glass for the shower, but that was resolved the same day and I have had no problems since. Overall, the service was excellent, the technicians were professional and friendly and the work came in exactly on quote.

Very professional, very timely, and the staff at Abacus told me if I mailed them the coupon from my Angie's list book, they would credit by card for the amount of the coupon. Very helpful

The representative that came out was professional but told us that it would cost 209.00 additional dollars in addition to the 49.95 to come out to the house just to identify if there was in fact a leak at our pool equipment around the heater. There was an attempt for us to join a club for an annual fee (additional money) of $126 that would give us 15% off service which would have reduced the gas leak finding fee down to $178. So if we joined the club we would have paid the $178 reduced fee we would have paid out around $350. (50 for coming out/178 for checking gas leak/126 for club membership) None of that up front investment would have actually covered any repairs that need to be made. If you are wondering what $209 dollars gets you when finding a leak, it consists of spraying soapy water from a spray bottle. It kind of felt like a scam and we told the technician that we did not want to purchase their services. We were charged 99.95 in the end, not quite sure why, I guess we did not tell the guy fast enough that we were not interested in the service and we were arbitrarily charged an extra 50 dollars for spraying of soap water. Very Dissapointing

They were pretty professional in everything. I was very pleased. I trust what the plumber told me after his inspection.

Called their shop and was told they could be there between a certain time. All info was given up front as to service charge fee. They called before arriving so I knew to expect them. Tech arrived promptly and covered his shoes. Very nice man. He checked the situation and then gave me an estimated price, Depending on what he would have to do, he said it could be over $500.00 to unclog the drain. I was shocked at the price. When he started to break down the charges, he had recommended a new drain stopper unit and new faucets, which I did not need. He also recommended purchasing a plan to cover future problems, also something I did not need. I agreed to 2 of the possible charges that would have been over $500.00. Luckily for me,it was a simple hair clog. The total charges came to about $279.00. He then took off the coupon I printed from Angies list and that brought it down to about $245.00. He completed the job quickly and was very neat. I personally do not care to be sold something I don't need. He was not a hard sell kind of guy, but doing his job. I have to say that I was not expecting that high of a price to clear a stopped up drain. Maybe I just didn't know that was the going rate. If I am incorrect, please someone, let me know.

They are a bit expensive. The work they did was good, everything is still working okay. I would use them again if needed.

When attempting to install my new washing machine, the delivery team from the store where I bought the machine broke off the water spigot inside the wall. I had to shut off the water to the whole house to stop the leak. The supervisor of the delivery team arranged to have a plumber come out to fix the pipe later that day. However, their plumber called and canceled the service. I called Abacus around 5pm that evening and they said they could have someone there in 45 minutes. The plumber showed up on time, surveyed the problem, and gave me the estimate of the repair. He was very courteous and professional, and fixed the problem within an hour. He took the added measure of bracing the pipe inside the wall so that a similar situation would not reoccur. He also was careful to repair the wall as much as possible.

They were punctual and polite and answered all of my questions. I elected not to have the tankless water heater installed because I determined that my problem was more related to my pipes than to my water heater. Abacus also gave me a very rough estimate of what it might cost to replace the pipes. My only complaint was when I went back in the attic after they left, I noticed that they had not put the insulation back into its proper place. They had moved the attic insulation (blanket style) to examine the pipes for the tankless heater, and perhaps they thought there was no need to put the insulation back if they were going to do the heater install. Anyways, I had to put the insulation back in place.

This company was very quick to respond and on time. I will say that for them. However once they arrived the man proceeded to put a $4.00 repair bracket on a pin hole leak. I asked him if I should repair the entire pipe. He stated that I could but leaned toward just fixing the one pin hole because as he stated, "It will be VERY very costly". " how costly" I asked and he shook his head and said "I will have to call it in but I am sure it will be a lot." And this would not include the cost i would have to incur after the repair to fix the sheetrock and paint. As they are not responsible for this. (I am factoring all information as tounderstand the full cost of this leak completely repaired) So I made a judgment call and believed my best option at the moment was to allow him patch the repair on the leak as originally stated. I understood the $49.95 trip charge. But when he handed my husband a $300 invoice I asked him to take his $4.00 repair bracket off and thanks but no thanks. I expected $100 bill, but was floored that this was a "fair" charge for their plumbing expertise. I paid the trip charge because apparently there was no room for negotiating. So be it. I have learned my lesson. I soon after replaced the entire pipe for less than $200.00

We smelled gas in our utility room and called the gas company. We had a leak in the valve on water heater. We looked up plumbers on Angies List and called Abacus Plumbing. It was late in the afternnoon, so they could not come that day, but made an appointment the next day. They called exactly on time appointed. The young man (Jason) arrived and started to work. We had gone and bought the part at plumbing supply so we could get it fixed quick. Well Jason had bad news...we had bought the wrong part and he did not have one, but could get the part and work us in between two big jobs the next day. He called and arrived on time and fixed the water heater. The company was calling before he pulled away from our house. This company is unlike anything we have seen in a long time. They care about their customers. We were so impressed! All of our plumbing problems will be handled by Abacus Plumbing from now on. And we will request Jason when possible. Thanks Angie

I chose this company because of good prior experience. I had a very good experience with this company. They were very professional and did everything correctly.

They gave me an estimate before they started and there were no additional charges. They successfully unclogged the drain and we have had no problems since.

They are a good company. They have real high standard as far as the employees they hire.

They were very nice and told me up front that they don't work on apartments. I appreciated the honesty.

They were more expensive then most places but they do a wonderful job.

Abacus personnel were prompt and professional. There was some confusion regarding scope, e.g. customer expected all water piping to be replaced, including vertical drops through walls, but Abacus assessed condition of existing copper and made connections top and bottom instead, to avoid cutting sheet rock. Abacus reduced the cost to compensate for customer's understanding of the scope, and warranties all work.

I was very pleased with them. They were prompt and very thorough. They cleaned up and didn't leave a mess. They got the problem fixed within 2 hours. We needed somebody to come out on a Saturday because it broke at 5:00pm on a Friday. We chose them because they offered weekend service without an additional fee.

McGale, the plumber who came out was very good in explaining everything. He went over a lot of things. He also took a valve out of my shower. I can’t use that shower until they get to me and tell me about what kind of new valve I can put in it. He said that the valve that was in there was no longer being made. He was punctual and responsive. The quality of the work he did was excellent. He was very professional. I would use him again in the future.

They came on time to the house to check it out and informed me that a new water heater was needed. My wife was home with them and I was at work so my wife called and I spoke to the technician. He informed me that I needed a new water heater and that would cost roughly $1000.00, there was another $200 or so charge to bring it up two flights of stairs. A few hundred more for set up and full installation. I was not happy with the price but I needed a new water heater, so I said ok. The technician said the he was getting me a great water heater, much better then my current one, so I was happier with that. After the installation they left. That night we noticed the water pressure had dropped in all our faucets. Ever single faucet as well as our appliances. We were not happy at all. I went up stairs to check with my untrained eye to see if anything was leaking with the new water heater, and everything seemed fine. On a whim I looked up the make and model of the "great" water heater to see how much I could buy it online for, and it came out to $350.00. This really made me upset as the "great" water heater was bottom of the line. They came out a day or so later to tell me that my water pressure was fine and that they would be happy to have to same pressure where they lived. Apparently what happened was that sediment from the old water heater was released throughout all my pipes when they were installing the new "great" water heater and I had to remove all the faucet heads which could be removed and get rid of the huge chunks of sediments. They did send out a subcontractor to fix the washing machine which was clogged with sediment. They also sent out a few of there tech's the help clean out the faucets. To this day the water pressure still was not what it was. To summarize: I spent $1625 to receive a $350 water heater and get my pipes clogged with sediments. The subcontractor came out only after i threatened legal action. This was the reason I joined angie's list.

This company (and especially Carlos, the plumber who came to the house) is extremely professional. They called when Carlos was on his way, then Carlos called when he got stuck in traffic and was going to be late. He looked at our problem spot and suggested several things we could do before getting a plumber involved. It is so nice to deal with a responsive and ethical company! I recommend them highly. If you deal with Carlos, you're extremely fortunate.

I spent $300 for their service. They were very professional. They were excellent. I didn’t have any problem with them at all. I would work with them again in the future if necessary.

I’ve used them before. They found a water leak that we had and repaired the water leak; it was actually in an attic. The water heater was in the attic and the pipe broke. I think they are one of the best plumbing companies that I’ve worked with. They are very, very expensive, but you pay for what you get. I would definitely use them again if I want to get things done right. They are very prompt and show up on time. They are clean and in uniform, and their trucks are well stocked. They are more expensive than you’d pay somebody else but I think it’s worth the money because you know what you’re going to get.

The faucet that Poulty Homes had used was basic (as alot of their fixture are ) so the plumber had to replace the whole fitting as it had corroded so badly. Abacus did arrange for the tile man to take off the bath side and wait until the work was complete and replace the bath side The plumber did a wonderful job, the tile man I was not that impressed with - sealant/ corking was left all uneven and looked quite unpleasant and was difficult to clean as it was not smooth but had been left all rough. That being said, I did call Abacus and they immediately had the tile and grout man return and the work on the tile was replaced to my satisfaction I would definitely use Abacus again -
