I only called for an estimate the price was too high for budget.

The job went well. Kevin Corbett was polite and professional. I paid $275.00 for the job, however, was charged $49.95 for him just showing up. I called Abacus to schedule the repair. At that time, I explained in detail to the person taking the info what the problem was and what parts needing replacement. I would have been more comfortable paying the trip charge if it was just a repair estimate.I will continue to use Abacus for any plumbing work in the future. Very good company.

Service technician was very professional and courteous. He called in the morning to confirm he was in route and arrived shortly there after. He took care to do a neat and tidy job and even wore shoe coverings. Job was done very satisfactory.We appreciated that the technician was able to replace the unit with an identical make and model since we had good service with our original.Customer service called later in the day to follow up with us and verify that the work done was satisfactory.They may be a little more expensive than some plumbers, but their high quality of workmanship and guarantee of work was an important factor in our decision too use them. If we had a wish list, we would wish that that the travel charge be negated when services are performed. They do have a service membership to include this benefit, but the membership was not appropriate for us. We are long time customers and will continue to use Abacus for our plumbing needs.

They did well. They had to come back a few times to fix some problems but overall they've been fine.

They do wonderful work at a good price. They aren't the least expensive, but I think their work is worth the price. They really are outstanding. They do honest work & value the work they do.

Our recent experience with Abacus was a disaster! After joining their membership program, we scheduled the initial home inspection. We hoped for an honest assessment of our home plumbing systems - we got the amazing coincidence of a new leak that required immediate attention. While it is impossible for us to prove that the Abacus rep purposely created the leak, we are certain that it happened. When we asked him how we managed to get a brand new leak just after he inspected our systems, the Abacus rep explained that such coincidences happen to him "all the time." At the risk of being unfair, the experience felt to us like an outrageous scam. His recommendation for several thousand dollars for immediate emergency repairs / replacements was just too much of a coincidence when we had no leaks or other problems before he arrived. We were in shock - we had no plumbing problem before he showed up and during his visit we developed a crisis that required thousands of dollars to fix? We complained that the coincidence was just too much for us to accept and that we wouldn't accept his recommendations. At this point, we just wanted the leak fixed and, after he conferred with his home office, he agreed to replace the leaking water heater valve to buy more time for us to consider his recommendations. By this point, our goal was to get this guy out of our house so we agreed to let him replace the valve to cure his "emergency". It is important to note two things: 1) we did not have any leak before he arrived and, after he replaced the valve in question, we have not had any leaks since and 2) after we got him out of the house, we were able to find at least two suppliers to do the same work at less than half of the price. We will never let an Abacus person in our home again!

Great experience --- very happy with their service.

Inspecting the valve inards during the first service call resulted in substantial residual water in the shut off water line to drain behind the shower tile and create a possible mold condition. After the technician was finished, I had to grout the valve cover plate with clear silicone as he had not done so himself despite the fact that he had to razor cut away the original grout. On the installation of the part during the second service call I had to prompt the technician to absorb as much of the water with a wash cloth to avoid it draining once again behind the tile. On observation of the work in progress, I saw the technician reading the part instructions, something that I would not have expected from a journeyman plumber. In general, I thought the technician to be poorly trained and an amateur.The cost of the part was later found to be $99 on-line from the manufacturer. This suggested to me that there was a very large mark up.

They were a little pricey. They are confident and friendly.

I was told that someone from Abacus would be at my house between noon and 6pm. Aaron called when he was leaving to head to my house and arrived within the promised service time. He quickly went to work, removing the panel to the tub. He found that the switch to the motor had worked its way loose, re-connected it, tested out the whirlpool, replaced the panel and re-caulked it. While waiting for the tub to fill to test the whirlpool, he even cleaned out the garbage that the home builder left around the tub that was covered up by the panel! I would definitely recommend Abacus Plumbing and will certainly use them for any future plumbing repairs.

Prompt to respond to estimate request and set an appointment for the next day. The technician arrived and was very professional. He gave me options with no pressure tactics. Office called after job was completed to see how I was treated. Great experience and will use again.

Found the problem to be a cracked toilet and the smell was coming from around the seal. This toilet has been a problem for many years. When the plumber broke down the toilet, he found the seal had been installed wrong and the bolts had not been tightened to create a proper seal. When the toilet was first installed sixteen years ago, the plumber had to cut into the sheet rock wall and studs to make it fit. The plumber told us, that they due make toilets that have small tanks but that he did not have one on his truck. He call is office and they sent the toilet I needed. I could not believe this because it was a Saturday, plus it was Easter weekend. This company was up front on all cost before doing any work and the plumber went out of his way to make sure my wife and I where pleased with the job.

I had previously used Abacus for plumbing work and was pleased. I initially called another contractor to repair one of our central air conditioning units because I forgot that Abacus is now doing HVAC as well as plumbing. The other contractor came out and pronounced our 12 year old unit dead unless we spent more money than it was worth and then proceeded to try to sell us an entire new unit including condenser, evaporator ,furnace and blower. I paid a $79.00 trip / diagnostic charge and kept a copy of the quotes for various SEER rated replacement units. The technician left the master power switch off and pronounced the unit dead. I called Abacus late that afternoon and they came out the next day (it was not an emergency for us). They arrived on time and 20 minutes later the unit was blowing cold air. It was only then that I explained that they were giving me a second opinion. The technician had the unit cooling without replacing any parts or coolant, but recommended replacement of a power relay (not a starting capacitor) on the compressor which was obviosly scorched. He believed it was hanging up occasionally and was causing an intermittant problem. Our upstairs unit is now keeping that area very comfortable. Abacus also checked out the larger downstairs unit and cleaned the condenser coil. It is also 12 years old and they pronounced it to be working efficiently. In all fairness, I will probably have to replace the upstairs unit within the next couple of years...........and Abacus will be my first call. I asked them for quotes to replace the upstairs unit. Their quote for the 16 SEER unit was about $1000 less than the first company, but their 13 SEER units (best value for a short period of remaining ownership in my book) ranged from $3,136 less (for the lowest quality) to $1,000 less for the highest quality 13 SEER unit with 10 years parts and labor warranty and free tune ups twice per year. The only reason for a "B" on price is that $208.00 seems a lot for a relay switch. The rest of the money ($99.00) was for a Biannual inspection of BOTH units (they will come back out just before Winter - and this is a good value to me). Regarding the $208.00 relay , I realize the company does not make money off of inspections and diagnosis, but I was looking at an additional $208 if had I put a starting capacitor on the compressor to make start up up easier on the old unit. A relay and a capacitor are bolt on items requiring 10 to 15 minutes of labor each. The technician and I both agreed that $416 is too much to spend on a 12 year old compressor with only a couple of years of remaining service. Their new unit pricing quotes were very reasonable.

Dispatcher, Melissa, bless her, had a truck at my home lickety split. Abacus Ace Plumber, Aaron, corrected the problem quickly and efficiently, as always. Aaron then called a mold remediation service that is on its way here as I type. I cannot say enough good things about Abacus Plumbing. They are worth every dime. I would recommend joining their Diamond Club.

The fellow from Abacus came out on time and took a look at our sewage problem, which was pretty gnarly. Turns out the entire system needed to be replaced as it was rusted out and filled with roots. We knew this ahead of time as the plumbing had been scoped, but this kind of work seemed a bit outside of the fellow's capacity. He identified that the most pressing issue was removing the blockage so that we could at least use our water, and then we could look at the other work. He had the blockage removed fairly quickly. Overall, I was satisfied with the work Abacus performed and the service technician. I would recommend them more for routine plumbing maintenance work as opposed to contracting work, and only for those who can afford to spend an extra 50 -100% on their plumbing work. The prices they charge are pretty ridiculous.

When the tech went in the attic, he found drain pipes that were not installed properly and he took the pictures while he was in the attic and he showed them to me, and we set up an appointment for the two technicians to come and do the work and the most unbelievable part was that they did not take any money until the manager came and looked at the system to make sure the work was done correctly. We were very impressed with the customer service and the whole company and the way they work.

I was pretty pleased with them. I needed some help right away, and they came over within a couple of hours. It took him quite a while to fix the problem, it took about 2 - 3 hours of his time, but he did stick with it until the job was finished. I am going to have them come out to do some more work for me in the future.

Having read the reviews, I phoned the company. I had already employed two plumbers who did not have a camera to clear a drain.The other reviews stated that they were unhappy with the trip charge. I actually feel that the charge is quite reasonable. I know it cost money to send a truck and a technician. Having read the reviews I knew the company was not inexpensive. I phoned to ask what the charge would be to simply send a camera down a drain that two other plumbers could not clear. Since the other reviews said the technician called the office for pricing, I felt the office could give me an idea of what the charge was to look in the drain.The very polite gentleman said that they could not. The technician would have to tell me. Now, I wanted to be somewhat prepared for the cost of diagnosing my problem, but he kept saying he could not give that information. I somehow know that there is an approximate charge to "run the camera". So, I politely said, thank you and hung up. For a company that prides itself on integrity and honesty, I find this practice unacceptable. I am somehow sure he could have said, "it usually costs about..." Or, the price is dependent on how long we spend running the camera. But...his answer was. I have never given an estimate on looking in your drain line.So, count me out as an Abacus customer.As it turned out, the city finally appeared and said the problem was in the main line. So, had he quoted me some number, no matter how big or small. I would have at least known it was a city problem and he would have been paid to simply let me know that.This way, I am sitting here typing this bad review. NO one needs a bad review simply because the person answering the phone gives what the customer feels is an inadequate answer.

Their prices are very reasonable. The service was excellent. I really liked the technician that came out. He was professional and took his time explaining things to me.

Returned phone call very quickly. The technician was out on time. Everything went well but I was a little surprised at the price. They are definitely professional but pricey.

Even though I haven’t used them, they were just so fabulous when they came out to give me quotes. They were just so awesome and their prices were reasonable. My next door neighbor liked their estimate and is getting them ready to work; for re-plumbing the whole house. They are wonderful to deal with and I am going to get my bathroom plumbing done from them when I am ready. I really liked the people that came. They are very clean, thorough and very professional. They also have an insurance policy with them that is fabulous. I can’t really argue with their services. They are licensed and are master plumbers. They are very fast; they gave me a time and were here right on time. They were very nicely dressed and had a uniform. They did everything they were supposed to do and didn’t dirty my house; they were impressive.

This is an upscale service provider. Think Nordstrom, Lexus, etc. If you like to go first class, Abacus should be your plumber.

This did not go well at all. I would not call them again.

Abacus did a great job. They came out and reset a toilet. Their service is good, and their prices are competitive. We have used them several times, and will continue with them in the future.

We have a difficult water heater to access. It is hemmed in with a washer and dryer in a fairly small utility room. The plumber fixed what was wrong with the water heater, looked up and noticed that there was water leakage on the ceiling sheetrock. I walked outside with him and discovered that the vent pipe on the roof had a storm collar that had not been installed properly by a previous plumber (who was not Abacus by the way) and arranged for someone to come out to fix it. All in all a very good experience. The storm collar cost an additional $180. A bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.
