We had to book their service ahead. The pricing seemed a little higher than some of the others but the quality of work was higher than others too. The workers were excellent and very professional. They arrived on time and did a great job. They also cleaned up after themselves.

They were very professional and very nice. I have used them several times and would absolutely recommend them to others in need of the services.

Service performed professionally by a knowledgeable technician who showed up when promised. Told me in advance exactly what he was going to do and why. Performed services professionally. Technician was friendly and informative.

Abacus called and told us when to expect the serviceman. He arrived within the time frame given and was very professional in his dress, demeanor and service call. He wore booties in the house even though we told him he didn't have to. His uniform was neat and well identifiable as one from Abacus. He took his time to go over everything and carefully wrote a review of the problems with the unit and our options. We could repair or buy a new unit. We are choosing to replace the unit as it seems to be on its last legs. It's 13 years old and a cheap builder model, so it's amazing that it has lasted as long as it has in the hot Texas summers. We've had issues with it before. We felt very comfortable with the review and estimate for the work. We were able to choose just the day we wanted with no delay.

Abacus was able to come out on a Saturday morning with no additional charge and completed the work, including a very thorough cleanup, within 2 hours. I was very impressed with the quality of service.

From scheduling the original service call through the assessment of my plumbing issue and completion of the work I was very well satisfied. Having the work explained and providing me with options for how to proceed gave me the opportunity to control some of the cost of the work. The technician did provide me with guidance in what to look for if I chose to purchase the toilet myself. This was very helpful and that was the option I chose. I really appreciated the concern shown for my home as the work was being accomplished. The technician explained the steps he was taking and included opportunities for me to view the work as it progressed. I felt comfortable with the quality of the work performed.

Called them on Sunday afternoon looking for immediate assistance. They were unable to get someone out that afternoon, but offered us a first AM Monday appointment. Based on our scheduling conflicts, we ended up with a lengthy consultation with Bob on all our options on Tuesday afternoon, in person with my wife while I participated via Skype from Stockholm, Sweden. After a soup to nuts explanation of all our options, we settled on the Rolls-Royce of water heaters and also opted to have the optional hot water heater bypass pump installed which now gives us hot water in our master suite in 20 seconds instead of five minutes. We wholeheartedly recommend Bob and the rest of the Abacus Plumbing crew. The work was done on schedule as promised, they kept the house extremely clean while they were doing the work, the new installation passed city inspection with no problems (and the inspector wanted the name of who did the work for his home), and we could not be happier with the results. Five stars and A+ for Abacus!

They were very good. They had good ratings on the list and we had a good experience with them. We liked everything about them, their service person that was out here and their competence. We are going to use their recommendations to have some other work done. The person that they sent out was punctual, quick and he got exactly what we wanted. The price was reasonable and the problems we asked them to solve were solved. They installed very good equipment and were of very good quality.

First they called 30mins before to make sure I was home, then they called when they were in my driveway . He came in and put on booties to make sure not to track dirt etc. Fixed my plumbing problem and then checked my water heater for free!

They are always on time and reliable. They gave a nice discount and didn't overcharge. They are always neat and clean, too. They are very fair and don't try to talk me in to things I don't need. They've been very good to me.

It was wonderful! They explained the work very well, cleaned up after themselves, and were very respectful of the house while they worked.

the technician was prompt in getting to the house. he asked many questions that had to do with what happened and when. i informed him that i had taken the drain apart under the sink to try to solve myself to no success. he let me know what he would be doing and wrote up a proposal to do the work in which i signed the sheet to get it done. fixed the clog and even repaired the drain under the sink at no extra charge. overall the technician (Art) was very professional with things and very courteous. i would definitely be calling this company to do my plumbing quotes and possibly repairs in the future

Called Abacus Plumbing to repair a leaking hot water valve that wouldn't turn off. This was my first use of Abacus but had seen them in Angie's List, which I use a lot, for references, and they set an appointment to come out. Abacus showed up right on time, the tech was very cordial and careful to not soil the carpets as he had to turn off the water in the yard as well. He wore shoe covers whenever he was in the house. When he removed the valve for repair he showed me what was wrong and explained why the problem had happened. He replaced the valve and it worked perfectly. He also showed me where one of my showers knob handles was wearing out and would eventually become a problem. These are readily available at local Lowes and I will purchase and replace. After the repair the Tech also advised me about the Abacus Club which offers a lot of benefits one of which is to double the standard warranty everyone has and also to provide free plumbing inspections throughout our home with many problems being adjust and repaired free of charge. You can recover you membership fee by utilizing Club coupons throughout the year. We feel this is also a good program.

They were professional in everything they did. I was very happy with the service. They showed up on time. They were very well spoken and I was happy with the work.

I received prompt service. The plumber who came to my house was a quality professional. The job was done right. The company followed up to ensure that I was satisfied. They did nice work at my place.

I called the company on a rainy day, and to my surprise, someone came right out. Edward, the serviceman, was courteous, prompt, and really helpful. I shall definitely use Abacus in the future if I have a plumbing problem.

We hired Abacus to replace a busted drainage pipe and were very pleased with the quality and timeliness of their work. We absolutely would hire them again. We felt their proposed approach for addressing our issue was worth paying a little more than the other quotes we received. Thankfully it worked out for us. Their workers were extremely respectful, knowledgeable and communicated well throughout the duration of the work.

This was our first time using a company on Angie's list, and I must say this was a great experience. Was able to schedule next day service with ease. Was given a window of 8am-noon, and they arrived at 7:58am. Problem was quickly assessed and fixed within the hour.

I could not be more pleased with their service. It started with a wet spot in the kitchen ceiling. We had to have a section or two of pipe replaced ~ a year earlier when the hot water heater needed to be replaced and were warned at the time that a re-plumb was only a matter of time. When the Abacus tech arrived he went up into the attic and took pictures of what was leaking. This was much nicer than a verbal description, we could see the corrosion we had been warned about. He offered to do just what was necessary but we asked for a quote on having the entire house redone. They explained what they would do, what materials they would use and the disruption to our house walls. We were in a hurry as we had a trip planned and they agreed they could get it done on our timeline. During the course of the work we asked about filtering the water coming into the house and they told us what they could do. We also complained of how long it took to get hot water into the back bath and he had a solution for that as well. We accepted their advice on both add-ons. The recirculating pump required an electrical line be run and of course there were some holes that had to be cut in walls for access to the pipes. The Abacus tech made the arrangements; AJS technologies and American tile both did excellent work as well and I will add reviews for them. Even with the add-ons, the work was completed on time and on budget even though they stayed well into the evening on two nights. The work was completed about 2.5 months ago and we haven't had any problems with the plumbing at all. Our water tastes better and we have hot water at any faucet within seconds (very nice). We had to call them back out to remove an old supply valve for a toilet that was missed when they were finishing and they were very prompt in taking care of this minor oops. I would definitely use these folks again and have no reservation about recommending them.

Good work, but they were expensive.

the man was in our house no more than thirty minutes and presented us with a bill for $206. he then went out and sat in front of our house for forty five minutes. don't call these people if you don't want to be robbed!

Called them up and scheduled the appointment. He said that he could come back the next day to help with the service and to make sure he had the appropriate equipment. Took 1 day to complete the service.

The quality of their work is good and I will use them again in the future.

Had a HORRIBLE experience with Abacus and actually a MANAGER today. Barry, the AC manager, was rude, called me cheap, claimed I was accusing him of things, when all I asked for was an explanation of the estimate given to us today. The estimate has a 225% markup (he claims for labor and profit) and is $2500 more expensive than 3 other licensed AC companies we've had quote the exact same work and unit. Abacus came highly recommended so I just wanted to see if there was a mistake that had been made - I was giving them an opportunity to earn my business if indeed this was incorrect. The only mistake made was that I wasted my time speaking to a rude manager. Barry was disrespectful, unprofessional, telling me that I couldn't afford their services, and urging me to find another company because "clearly we're just not the company for you". I also was charged a $49.95 service fee for a technician to come to my house today to give me this estimate for work. I have all emails from when I setup my appointment with Mandy who never once mentioned a service fee for the estimate today. The technician called into the office while at my home today and was told by Mandy that she "spoke to Christie and she was aware of the service fee." Problem number 1 is NO ONE spoke to me period. My appointment was setup via email (if you doubt me I have all correspondence saved and will gladly show anyone) and now Mandy was caught lying. Barry did state he was refunding the service fee charged to our credit card. So much for ethics and honesty like the commercials for Abacus claim. Won't ever be using Abacus for any work-period.

The crew was professional and polite. I felt sure that the job would be done right. These people are well-trained and knowledgeable. One of the best aspects of the experience was that they called to confirm and advise me that they were on their way. They arrived right on time. No waiting around for a no-show plumber. I will definitely use Abacus Plumbing agan.
