It was to put in a forced air unit. There were some initial problems at first with the Amana service man, so he made a couple of trips to make things right and didn't charge anything. He responded with in minutes.

We started with Paul, when one of our two air-conditioning units (the main one, which cools 2 floors) stopped working in the Houston heat on a Saturday! Nobody would come out until the Monday, including the company which had done the annual maintenance work on the HVACs in 2011.
Paul was very sympathetic and agreed to come out within 2 hours! He correctly diagnosed the problem, but the unit needed a new compressor, which could not be bought that same evening. So he told us how to manage and agreed to fix it first thing the following Monday. Which he promptly did.
One of the inherent problems with the way our home is built, is that this one unit cools the top 2 floors, whereas the bottom floor has a separate unit. This puts way too much pressure on the first unit. Also, when we entertain, it simply cannot cool the living area (the middle floor) sufficiently. We had gotten estimates for having this issue fixed in the past but they all involved putting in a new unit / new thermostat / new splitting - in short really expensive options. Paul came up with the very creative solution if running a vent up from the ground floor unit to the ceiling above! He gave us a very reasonable quote and his team did a brilliant job.
He now does the annual maintenance of our HVACs!

My 30-year-old air conditioner broke down in April as the temperatures were getting hotter and I needed a replacement. Paul Kolanek of A/C Air Enterprises responded quickly, checking my system and giving me the best of the three estimates I got. He also agreed to install the AC on Good Friday. His employees arrived on time, introduced themselves and responded very politely in answering questions from my wife and me. They worked very quickly and carefully. Because they had to work in the attic of our two-story house, they first laid down clean canvas tarps to protect the stairs and carpet. Paul arrived soon and further explained the new system, including the new digital thermostat. He then set up the thermostat as we requested. Paul then accompanied me into the attic to show me the work done there and explain part of the system that would alert us if the AC drain hoses became clogged. He also noticed some spots on water pipes in the attic, explaining that the spots were corrosion that could cause leaks. He also told me how to remove the corrosion and install clamps available at a hardware story, saving me th expense and inconvenience of pipes suddenly bursting in the attic.They finished the work in about an hour less time than we had expected and we were cool again by mid-afternoon.We couldn't be more pleased with their work, professionalism and courtesy. And my summer electric bills are at least $100 a month less than a year ago.

Because his work is so good, Paul stays very busy. This means he can't always come over immediately, and sometimes he's a little late on his estimated arrival. Knowing his work, I figure that's because he found something else that needed attention at the previous call. Having said that, he is always responsive, efficient and effective and good-natured in the bargain. I give him my strongest recommendation, and my respect. He's one of those treasured resources I tell my friends about.

The experience I had with them was awesome. There were never any unanswered questions and they even did the extra work that was needed without any additional charge and I appreciated that a lot.
