It was a small job and they did a great job. Very quick and came out the next day to do the work. Very professional.

Justin Davis came out promptly and gave me an estimate and spent some time talking about the health of my trees. A week later Kelly and 2 others came out to do the work. They did a very good job. They moved a few things off my deck that might have been hit by falling branches. I suppose they may have been moved as well in case one of the workers fell. After the work was done they moved everything back in it's place. The trees are oak trees and Kelly cut a lot of the branches down to a size that would fit in my fireplace and stacked them. They raked the front and back yard after finishing. I had a 6 ft red tip photinia that had died at the end of the summer and I hadn't removed it. Kelly offered cut it down and put it through their chipper which saved me a lot of trouble. There was no charge for that. The workers are insured too. Their price may be a little high but I would rather pay more for a good job than pay less for a lousy one.

I have used J Davis for a number of years now on my wooded property. Both for removals and for pruning. They are not the cheapest, but they are the most reliable, trustworthy and clean tree firm in the area. They also take the time to explain the 'why' behind what they are going to do. Did a great job of pruning my trees this Spring.

Half of my Bradford Pear fell during a storm on a Monday night. I placed a call to J Davis on Tuesday morning. By 9:30 Phillip was at my door to give me and estimate for chopping down the rest of the tree, removing all debris, grinding the stump and pruning another large tree. By 2:00 pm that day the crew had completed all work mentioned above with the exception of the stump which was taken care of the next morning. They were professional, courteous and timely. The cost breakdown is:$495.00 - removal of tree and all debris $125.00 - stump grind, $200.00 - prune very large ornamental tree $25.00 - disposal fee.

Tommy arrived on time and was very pleasant. He gave his assessment and advice on my declining native trees. The workers arrived on time the following day and made quick work of the trimming and removal. They were all very courteous and cleaned up the site very nicely. A few hours later another man arrived to aerate the ground and apply root stimulant. I was very happy with the overall service and price. I will definitely use this tree service again.

My husband & I had a very good experience with this company. The mulberry tree they removed was huge & right next to our house. They did a great job & didn't cause any damage to the house from the huge limbs being cut. Also, the mulberry they pruned was huge & they had to remove limbs for safety purposes. It looks great now!

Jason on time to give bid. Work crew showed up on time. Introduced themselves when arrived. Very polite, worked hard during entire period on premises. Told me when they left that the stump grinder would be here next day. The tree was so large they couldn't fit all of the debris in the truck (the branches had mostly been ground down). They stacked the remainder at the curb and sent another truck out that evening to pick it up. Did not damage any surrounding shrubbery or fencing - and there was plenty to be avoided.

Tommy Middleton, an arborist, gave free estimate and advice regarding care of trees. He was professional, prompt, and used a no pressure approach. The crew of three men who came the following week to do the work were also professional and clearly took pride in their work. I am very satisfied with the experience and would recommend this company without hesitation. I am not sure how the price compares with what other companies would charge, but their price seemed fair.

I had contacted several companies to give me an estimate. J Davis was the most expensive of all my bids, but they were also the most professional and knowledgeable. Mr. Glenn came out to give me an estimate. He was dressed in a company shirt, driving a truck with the company name on it. He handed me a brochure on other services that they offer, and a gift. He listened to what I wanted to have done and made some suggestions. They were the only company that CALLED ME BACK to see if they could earn my business. That follow up is an lost art in business today.

COMPANY RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY TO MY CALL AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE. THE WORK WAS SCHEDULED AND COMPLETED AS AGREED, AND THE SERVICE WAS EXCEPTIONAL. CREW WAS TIMELY, PROFESSIONAL, AND COMPLETELY CLEANED UP THE DEBRIS AND WOOD. THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE FOR THE WORK PERFORMED.

THEY WERE ON TIME, FINISHED PROMPTLY. RETURNED TO CORRECT ONE ITEM, WITH FRIENDLY RESPONSE, PROMPTLY.

PHILLIP WAS RIGHT ON TIME FOR OUR APPOINTMENT AND GAVE ME A QUOTE INSTANTLY, WHICH I MIGHT ADD WAS SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN A COMPETITOR'S QUOTE EVEN THOUGH WE DISCUSSED MORE WORK THAN I HAD ORIGINALLY PLANNED. DURING OUR WALK-AROUND, PHILLIP SHARED HIS IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF TREES AND LANDSCAPING AS WELL AS DETAILS OF SOME OF THE WORK IT TURNED OUT HE HAD DONE AT THIS HOUSE BEFORE I BOUGHT IT. HIS WORK CREW ARRIVED AS SCHEDULED (HE PROMISED FRIDAY OR MONDAY, THEY CAME MONDAY SINCE IT HAD BEEN RAINY ON FRIDAY). OVERALL, I AM VERY PLEASED THAT I WENT WITH J. DAVIS FOR THIS JOB. I FEEL CONFIDENT THAT IF I HAD NEEDED TO HAVE THEM COME BACK TO DO SOMETHING THEY MISSED, IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE AT ALL.

THE DAY AFTER I CALLED, A CERTIFIED ARBORIST, TOMMY MIDDLETON, CAME TO EXAMINE THE TREES AND GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. TOMMY WAS EXTREMELY POLITE AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. I PLAN ON PLANTING LARGE BEDS UNDER THESE TREES, AND HE GAVE ME ADVICE ON THE CONDITIONS THE TREES PREFERRED AND ON HOW TO PREPARE THE SOIL AND PLANT WITHOUT DISTURBING THE TREE ROOTS TOO MUCH. THE DAY AFTER MY CONSULTATION, THE CREW ARRIVED TO DO THE PRUNING. THEY WERE VERY FAST, AND THE TREES LOOK GREAT (THERE IS SO MUCH LIGHT IN THE KITCHEN NOW!). THEY ALSO DID A GOOD JOB CLEARING THE AREA OF DEBRIS, EVEN RAKING TO MAKE SURE THEY HAD RETRIEVED ALL THE STRAY LEAVES. FYI: ACCORDING TO MY INVOICE, I WAS CHARGED FOR THE TWO BIG HACKBERRIES, NOT FOR THE RED OAK (WHICH REALLY ONLY NEEDED A SMALL AMOUNT OF TRIMMING, PROBABLY 2 MINUTES' WORK). I WOULD DEFINITELY WORK WITH THEM AGAIN, AND I PLAN ON ORDERING SOME MULCH FROM THEM FOR THE ABOVE MENTIONED GARDEN BEDS.

THEY ARRIVED ON TIME WITH ALL THEIR EQUIPMENT. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB WITH THE WORK, AND CLEANED UP ALL THE BRANCHES AND TWIGS. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED.

THEY SEEMED VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THEIR FIELD OF EXPERTISE. ANSWERING MANY QUESTIONS WE HAD FOR THEM. THEY WERE ALSO VERY PUNCTUAL AND PROFESSIONAL.

THEY ARE QUICK TO RESPOND, HAVE A VERY NICE OFFICE STAFF READY TO ASSIST AND PASS MESSAGES ALONG TO THE DAVIS'. GREAT COMPANY, GOOD PRICES, WONDERFUL SERVICE!

THIS COMPANY WAS ONE OF THE MOST PROFESSIONAL COMPANIES I'VE WORKED WITH. THEIR CLEAN UP WAS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE EVER SEEN. THEY CONTINUE TO SEND US FLYERS ON HOW TO TAKE CARE OF OUR TREES AND LANDSCAPING.

TWO LARGE PECAN TREES WERE HEAVILY DAMAGED DURING AN ELECTRICAL STORM. THE TREE MEN HAD TO USE ROPES TO CLIMB HIGH INTO THE TREES TO PRUNE LARGE HANGING LIMBS. THEY TRIMMED THE TREES CAREFULLY LIKE AN ARBORIST SHOULD DO. THEY WERE CAREFUL NOT TO LET THE FALLING DEBRIS HIT THE HOUSE. THEY CLEANED UP THE MESS.

VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WAS RELIABLE.
