Everything went smoothly. Minimal to no effort on my part. It is refreshing to me to have the professionals do their job and do it right in a turn key approach. Britt at Lon Smith Roofing made the process bearable. It was a big expense and 2 day job but I was kept apprised of the progress even though I was out of town at the time. It looks amazing and the cleanup and followup were thoughtful and thorough. Would recommend highly to anyone needing a new roof!

They did a temporary repair to stop further leaks. A day or two later a roof repair gentleman came and completed the actual repair. Leak was around the roof mount ventilator

I would not recommend Lon Smith to anyone! It took my salesman FIVE WEEKS from the time the contract was signed to bring a promised sample of awning material to me. The roofers left a huge mess on my patio and furniture – dirt, dust and shingle debris – and I had to call them back to clean it up. When I called their contracted painter to cover up the nail pops in my ceiling, he told me he would call me the following Monday. THREE WEEKS later, he returned my call to set up an appointment. The painter had no respect for my personal property, dropping his jacket and a paint brush on my kitchen floor, and setting a paint can on my kitchen counter without a rag or cloth underneath it to keep from scratching my countertop. Also, neither my salesman nor anyone else told me they would be changing out my dryer vent with an ugly monstrosity of their choosing, so I asked to see someone to make a change. More time went by and I was told the company would not warranty any other vent but the one they installed, and all they could do was install a smaller version of the ugly one. The vent installer showed up on a Monday morning without an appointment or calling ahead. Then I had an allergic reaction to the paint on the new vent and was having trouble breathing, possibly needing to spend the night in a motel. When I told the customer (dis)service manager about it, he just asked for my payment since – with the dryer vent install – the work was finally completed after two months. All he – or anyone else at Lon Smith – was interested in was getting their money. Lastly, after the last detail of the work was completed (dryer vent), I received another invoice requesting payment “to avoid finance fees” only TWO DAYS after the job was done! Who assesses finance fees for that short a period of time? RUN, don’t walk, away from this company!

I would 100% recommend Lon Smith Roofing. They have been around for more than 40 years, and they are not going anywhere like so many of these fly-by-night companies that pop up when storms happen. Every step of the way, from the person who came out to do the initial inspection and estimate, to the office, to the workers, I have absolutely nothing bad to say. Everyone was so polite and made sure I knew exactly what was happening at every step. When there were issues with my insurance company, the office folks were so helpful in getting those issues resolved. When the job was done, they were careful to clean-up supplies from the job. Everything was done in a timely manner and I would not hesitate to use them again!

Tremendous help from Matt and Mark, who assisted us on the insurance claims process, and a super crew who performed the installation. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience! Mark, the estimator, was very professional, explaining the complete roofing process. He made a couple of suggestions, go from turbines to vents and lead pipes to auto caulks. The roofing crew worked hard; picked up behind themselves as well as using tarps in the yard to contain any roofing debris and magnetic rollers for stray nails. Mario, the inspector, was very professional as well, answering any questions I had and making sure roofing job was done to proper standards. Thank you for a great experience!

Pleasure to deal with.

Sales Guy was great and so far we have had no leaks. The crew what clean and organized. The problems came with the follow up. Inspector came out and found a couple of issues. He said they would get fixed ASAP. We had our roof done in August, It was not until March when they finally made the corrections needed to compete the job. Good job on the roof but horrible job on follow up an finishing out the job.

Chuck Clary, the supervisor responded promptly with the same courtesy and professionalism we had experienced when our roof was installed five years ago. He quickly inspected and identified the problem and had the office call to schedule a repair date. The date had to be delayed because of weather, but the adjustment was made quickly. The crew arrived on time and finished almost before we knew it. The office called to verify our satisfaction and subsequent we have had no further problems in subsequent rain storms.  Lon Smith is the only option in Austin for quality Spanish tile roofing.

It went fine. They cleaned up everything just fine. They had to reschedule it a couple of times because of rains and storms but that wasn't under their control. Everything went smooth. I insurance paid.
