Flooring Direct

This is a wonderful company. They were so accommodating with every request and I feel the went above and beyond to make me happy. The only reason I did not use this company is that the product I wanted was not available. Thank you guys so much. I will definitely recommend you to anyone in the future. The estaminet they gave was more than reasonable too

The Salesman was awesome! Steve Ebsen visited with us and presented samples/ideas/guidance. He was straight forward, and we appreciated the simplicity of the quotation. Installation was a full two days with Jose and Ricky doing an excellent job! I would use Flooring Direct again.

My sales person was excellent. He brought in several different brands of floors for me to look at. He priced out the job several different ways so I could decide if I wanted to do it all at one time or in phases. He came out on a Friday July 3 for my estimate and I confirmed the order with him on Sunday July 5. The office staff from Flooring direct called me Monday to confirm the order and let me know that the floor was actually in stock and they could install the same week. I set up my installation for Thursday. The crew arrived and completed the work in two days. They cleaned up each day and did an excellent job of installing the flooring.

We spent about 2 months researching a vendor for installation of wood flooring in the first floor of our home. We spoke to (at least 5) vendors, from surplus to premier, and finally settled on Flooring Direct. They were not the least expensive by any stretch, but I was very comfortable with our salesman's (Steve) no-pressure approach and was sold on the quality of their installation team. The company was fairly responsive in general, even providing a $150 refund when Steve could not make an appointment due to inclement weather during the Spring ice storms. Scheduling was prompt and the office kept us informed as to what the process was and followed up before our install. My only real issues were with the installation and follow-up. The actual installation looks great and our installer seemed to be very deliberate and conscientious. I had several minor issues, however. 1) The transition strips in several of the areas where I have existing tile are not level and "tilt" up a little bit, you can feel it when you step on them. It appears that the wood flooring is slightly lower than the tile. 2) When the installation team removed the baseboards in our master bedroom they placed the baseboard on top of our new bed, causing the nails from the basedboard to scratch the bed in 4 places. 3) the installation did most of their work in our empty garage and appeared to clean up all traces of any work they completed. However, a few days later after I had pulled my car back into the garage I discovered that I had a flat tire and that several of the baseboard nails had been left in the garage. I called the company after the install and described the issues I had and spoke to the Installation Manager. He asked me to send pictures of the issues that I had (including the damage to the bed), which I did. I didn't hear back from him. The company called about two weeks later to "survey" my satisfaction with the job. I indicated the problems that I had (again) and was told that someone would contact me within 24 hours to address the issues. That was about 3 weeks ago and I have not heard back from them since. In general I am happy with the project, but as I have indicated it was not "perfect" and I am on the fence as to if I a going to use this company for my future flooring needs.

It went well. There was a slight problem with the installation, but they made it right at no cost to me.

They had to reschedule install date & I was told by sales rep install would only take 1 day. It actually took 2. Install team was very nice & professional. Communicated any issues/problems with me.

Sales person came out and arrived on the scheduled day and the scheduled time. He told us that the flooring that we picked out was very expensive and offered to quote the job with a lower grade material. He applied some pressure to my wife (I was not present) that we needed to accept the job quickly to get the best price. He was supposed to call and come by with the quotation on the following Monday. He never called back or followed up with us. When another person from the company finally called to follow-up we had already selected another supplier and in fact the job was nearly complete by then.

Flooring Direct did a wonderful job installing hardwood floors in my home. I have a 3 story town home with over 64 stairs in 2 staircases. They tackled the job with ease, high level of attention to detail & professionalism. They installed the new floor on my third floor level. They matched the stain of the new hardwood floors to the stain on the wood floors on my second & first level. The also completed the work on time. The workers arrived every day on schedule & worked through the day. The supervisor of the job was in constant contact with me to keep me updated. I also want to acknowledge the excellent sales man, Tom Woods who did the initial estimate of my project. His knowledge of hard wood floors is impeccable. Plus, he was highly professional & nice. He even wrote me a hand-written thank you card after the work was completed. I highly recommend Flooring Direct for any flooring needs you may have. I plan to have them clean & re-sand my first & second level hard woods later this year.

Overall I would grade them 'A'. I will use them again in the future.

Flooring Direct did a great job with this project! The sales person Chris did a thorough job showing us samples of products to chose from and he explained to us the process of removing the old floors and installing the new floors. The work crew was amazing. They were professional, responsible and completed the project in a timely manner. The floors look great!

I personally wanted to wait at least 2 months before writing this review, to ensure I had the same feelings after the installation of our floors. First of all our sales guy, Chris was very informative during the consultation process. I had a lot of concerns about not receiving the proper customer service, due to the large investment. His initial quote was not the highest we received but not the lowest either. We were able to "negotiate" an offer that we were pleased with. Additionally, when we asked how long would the project take, we were told approx. 2 - 3 days. When the installation scheduler called, we were advised it would take at least a week. (Of course this concerned me, because my initial thought, was "I've been lied to just to make a quick sale". But I tried not to let these feelings fester. Once the installers arrived, my husband was very pleased with their professionalism. They treated our home and furnishings as if they were their own. Additionally, the installer advised my husband the job would be probably be complete in 2 1/2 days(this calmed my initial fear). The Lead installer "Joey", was absolutely awesome, as was his team. He would ask us to look at the floors prior to putting furniture back in place. He also advised me to buy furniture floor protectors and he would put them on the furniture, so that the floors would not get scratched. I truly appreciate the level of customer service that was provided. Also, the job started on a Monday morning and the installers were done by Wednesday afternoon (2 1/2 days). We are completely satisfied and I'm still loving my floors. Additionally, we have received many compliments from family and friends about the quality of the workmanship. Great Job Chris, Joey and Joey's team!! PS. When we are ready to replace the carpet on the 2nd floor of our home, this will be the first company we call!

Things went great. There was initial confusion about timing of installation, but the work went quickly and end result is great.

I thought this project would be a headache as we were installing floors through out the entire house. The workers showed up on time every day and moved our furniture as they installed the floor. They cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous. I was surprised that the entire project was completed in only five days.

As far as the actual work, it was perfect, there was nothing wrong with that, but their sales person I had issues with. The rest of the company I would say was pretty good. Once they heard I had a concern, they responded right away.

.The flooring is beautiful! Very easy to care for and they were very quick and very professional. My housekeepers broke one of the transition pieces and they replaced it very quickly!

This is the second rental house that Flooring Direct has worked with us on. Quote process is quick and simple, our sales agent Michael P goes out, measures, and sends a quote. He has been able to provide options of various materials easily over email. Billing is done via credit card, half upfront, half at the end. Ordering the carpet and schedule takes about a couple weeks, and they can install with little landlord intervention especially if the house is unoccupied. Overall an easy vendor to work with. Pricing is at about market, they are not the cheapest or the most expensive.

My husband and I recently chose Flooring Direct to install laminate flooring throughout our home. I initially heard about them through Angie's List. We received quotes from several other flooring companies, but chose Flooring Direct because of their reasonable prices (which were lower than the other 4 companies we received quotes from).Overall, we are very satisfied with our decision. During instillation, we were notified that there would be a short delay because there was not enough flooring ordered. This incident was the only thing that made our experience less than perfect. Other than this one occurrence, the rest of the process ran smoothly from start to finish. I would recommend Flooring Direct to friends and family,and would definitely utilize their services again should the occasion arise.

Working with Flooring Direct couldn't have been easier. My husband and I are pretty low maintenance and don't like a lot of hassle, which is exactly what we got - no hassle. The sales rep, Tom, brought at least some of the showroom to us and it turns out we pretty much loved the options he brought. Our whole initial consultation was about two hours and he was even able to very closely match our existing wood floors that would be adjacent to the new wood floors. The work started the day after Memorial Day. The contractor, Victor, was a man short the first day but I was amazed that they were able to completely rip up our old tile in one day being short handed. The install team also very effectively covered and taped up the non-work areas so as to avoid a dusty mess in areas that weren't being renovated. Extra cleaning after everything was complete was very minimal There was a little bit of confusion about how the baseboards would be handled and if taking them off and replacing them so floors were laid under the boards was included in the quote (as opposed to laying the flooring right up next to the baseboard), but we got it worked out with Tom and there was no surprise extra charge. After the first day, work went smoothly without my husband and I having to get involved much besides making the decision to upgrade our baseboards. Working hours were typically 9 am to 6 pm every day, thankfully not too early for me. I was most impressed by how fast the team worked and the final quality of the floors. We must have redone over 1,000 sq ft of floor, most of it tile that had to be ripped up and the work was completed by Saturday afternoon, so 4 1/2 days of work. And at the end, the install team even helped us lift our fridge back into place in the kitchen (we weren't able to simply roll it when we were prepping for work, we'd had to rent a dolly). Overall, we were completely satisfied with Flooring Direct, the overall cost, and the install contractors and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The entire experience from sales to final billing was very good. The sales person was very helpful and responsive when issues arose. There were a couple small issues while the installation was performed but they were very happy to fix them to my satisfaction. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.

We first used Flooring Direct/CarrolJohns in Nov 2014 based on an Angie's list recommendation. We had an issue with a strong chemical smell (more than just new carpet smell) that continued for several months in only one of the three rooms. (This was for our nursery so chemical smells were very important to us.) We were never able to pin it down even after they tested things, but they completely replaced the carpet and pad at no cost to us and that fixed it. We had them back in May 2015 to install more carpet for us. So far, after two jobs, we've had them do three bedrooms, four closets and a long hallway with two more closets. We plan on using them again when we do the remainder of the house.

Set up an appointment for them to come and measure our new home for carpet in the upstairs and wood flooring in the downstairs. When I called I explained this is a home we are purchasing and that the realtor and I will be there to unlock the home. My goal was to close on the house and have new flooring installed that week. The appointment was at 6pm. It was explained to be that they would be there at 6. We were at the house from 5:50-6:30pm. I called twice and no one answered. I had my two young sons with me waiting on their arrival. We left because I didn't think it was necessary to waste our time any longer. At 6:47pm I finally received a call that he had arrived and we weren't there. He didn't apologize, he explained there is a window for his arrival from 6-8pm. The house is 3667 square feet...that is their loss for business. I would encourage you to NOT DO business with them. They clearly don't respect your time not do they feel they need to communicate, call, text about their time of expected arrival. They also don't feel the need to apologize.

I feel the same way as the dissatisfied person on 2-15-15! The coupon and detail info CLEARLY state you get $100 worth of flooring 'SERVICES' for $19...not FLOORING, but after you buy the deal and call to redeem they then try to CHANGE it to be what they WANT it to mean! That's a "BAIT AND SWITCH" scheme! It was a nightmare dealing with these people from GET-GO! The lady on the phone kept telling me I had to purchase FLOORING from them, but that was NOT stated on the coupon/detail info ANYWHERE. I told her it was only 1 transition strip and that I had already bought that from Home Depot. I told her I just wanted the SERVICE the coupon offered. I only needed them to glue down that strip along with re-gluing the 3 other loose ones. I told her repeatedly it was a very small job but she kept saying that they will still have to have 'a crew' come out! Also, she said that would be only after someone else comes out first to estimate the job. The entire job is just in my one small hallway. The lady kept repeating to me the "conditions" of the coupon, but I kept reminding her that THOSE conditions were NOT declared on the coupon/details BEFORE I bought it! I told her I only wanted the flooring SERVICE that it advertised. She finally told me she would get someone out at 6pm that day to see what small job I was talking about, but the rep came unexpectedly at 5pm, so I wasn't there. My adult daughter was home though, and she called me to let me speak with the rep. He was very cocky and rude to both her and me! He also had the audacity to make me think I was getting a good deal by saying that the small job I wanted done would normally be $225 but that with the $100 off coupon I bought, it would now "ONLY" be $125! When I told him that was STILL expensive for such a simple job, he told me that was because it was a $225 MINIMUM CHARGE no matter WHAT they do! I told him the coupon/detail info did not say that ANYWHERE, EITHER or I WOULDN'T have bought it! Yes, they have gotten a lot of good reviews but they have also gotten BAD ONES, as well! You should pay CLOSE attention to those, too. It's your money and time! I copied below what the company president promised in response to the OTHER dissatisfied customer from their BAD review on 2/15/15--- OVER 3 MONTHS AGO! He obviously did not honor HIS WORD. Now, I am VERY inconvenienced and annoyed as well for the same issue!... He wrote then: ..."We have tried to do everything possible to avoid confusion on this point but apparently we haven't done enough. I will review the coupons and language thereon at once and make sure there is no ambiguity or lack of clarity on our part. As always, I appreciate this and every review posted as they can only help us improve our level of service to our clients. Dan Ratcliff President 972-679-6426" He STILL has not changed the wording on the coupon like he promised above from back in February! This appears to be a classic 'bait and switch' gimmick! DON'T LET THIS COMPANY FLIM-FLAM YOU WITH THEIR DISHONEST WORDING TO GET YOUR BUSINESS AND MONEY!

On time-great job-cleaned up nicely.

Only had enough carpet for partial installation. Mistake with the carpet order. Good job on what was installed! Overall rating of (C) due to caret order mistake.

Materials and work done in a short time. Carpets to follow soon. Very good service so far with all involved.
