Over the past decade, I used 3 other plumbers to "fix" whatever the current problem was. I ALWAYS asked for a permanent solution and basically got blown off, always being told of the obstacles and them wanting to do unnecessary things, never being told a recommended solution and just told it was going to be "at least $10K"???? I lived alone and the problems were only occasional for the most part if I was the only one in the house ( I had to do and accept certain things because of it's delicate sensitivity) I have spent thousands over the years to patch the problem whenever necessary to band aid the situation. FINALLY, I was referrred to Billy Blankenship. There was no new problem, just a hope that I could get an adequate professional recommendation for a permanent solution with an actual dollar amount provided. I explained the situation, provided minimal background, he inspected and provided me with an estimate well below the $10K amount thrown at me previously. He thought about all the factors involved and presented a solution that was simple and understandable. At the time the work was done, I had a tenant in the home. It was important to me that she be disrupted as little as possible and work with her directly on scheduling and access. She advised me without prompting at how impressed she was on her end...they were timely, professional, considerate, etc....just what you hope for. He provided me with update photos and everything was left in an orderly, safe manner upon my inspection. This was by far the BEST contractor experience I have had especially regarding a personal situation! Billy and his crew were very respectful, great character and ethics...sooooo hard to find....the job was done completed as promised for the amount agreed on. I have dealt with MANY types of contractors ALOT in my lifetime.. twenty years professionally....plumbers being my least favorite from experience. I am still so pleased and thankful and only wish I had met this plumber 10 years ago.
Description of Work: I bought a home built in 1949 in 2002 and upon moving in discovered a significant deficiency with the performance of the toilet in the one and only bathroom. The water level was very low (just above the hole), it didn't have much power when it was flushed and it often backed up or got plugged up. I immediately purchased and installed a new toilet and it was obvious that this wasnt the problem. My sewer line was rerouted in a way that only a section of the concrete in the driveway had to be cut and repoured without any interior damage or inconvenience. He also avoided damaging the flagstone in the back.
