Dallas Viking Repair

Description of Work: I called Dallas Viking Repair to diagnose and fix my viking range oven. The technician did come out on the day we agreed to, although not at the agreed time. When he came, he looked at the oven and said that he would have to speak with someone at the office to get a quote for the cost. Because it was the end of the day, he said no one was at the office so I would have to wait until the next day to get my quote. After trying to reach him on his cell and calling back to the "dispatch" several times, I finally received a call from someone in the office 6 days later. | |In the meantime, I called Alltex Parker to come out and look at my stove. They were able to give me a quote right on the spot ($475) for the repair. So, when the person from Dallas Viking Repair called me six days later and told me that the quote was for $750, I said "no thank you." | |I complained to the office person about how long it had been since I had heard anything. I also told her that I wanted to have my $55 diagnostic fee refunded. She explained to me that the diagnostic fee doesn't even go to the company because they just use a big national call center to get business and schedule appointments. The $55 goes to them. She said that people complain all the time about the call center. | |So, this was a bad experience both in cost and responsiveness.

Description of Work: Hung up on me when I asked if they repair Viking mixers. They do not, how rude.
