He's a really nice gentleman. He was very courteous and very nice. He's knowledgeable in what he does, and he lets you know whether or not it's worth the money to get the job done with him.

Great! He knew what was wrong right away and repaired it efficiently. It is working like new.

I called at 1:40 pm today and David was at my house by 2:40 pm. The repair was complete before 3:00! I am very impressed and pleased with his service and definitely will call for future service.

Terrific, Dave got to this job sooner than he originally promised. He completed it quickly and got me an invoice to pay in a timely fashion. Star maintains their A rating with me.

I gave him a call and told him what the dryer was not doing. He told me he would have to come out to see. He gave me a quote while here and fixed it.

He determined that it was not a problem with the dryer, just an accumulation of debris (and dog hair!). The smell is gone now. We were very pleased with the service and Dave. He made some suggestions to extend the life of the dryer and did not perform unnecessary work. The expense was very reasonable, a trip charge and a small extra fee for cleaning out the debris.

After having a plumber come out and do what he thought fixed the dryer and after learning once he was gone, that my dryer still wasn't heating properly, I contacted Star Appliance the next day. Since it wasn't "life or death", I didn't expect that they would be able to come out the same day, but they did. I called them at around 9am and they showed up at 12 noon. Didn't take them long. It helped that the plumber had cleaned the external "flu" (or whatever you call it) but the internal was what was clogged (or perhaps both, who knows) but after Star Appliance rep left, it was working properly. The rep even explained to me how to remove the back if the problem re-occurred at a later time (from drying a large rug that produces a whole lot of lint). Will definitely call again. Very professional and competent. It isn't every business that will give you both.

At the time I called David, we had our entire freezer contents (what we could save) moved out to a cooler with ice. So, needless to say, I was looking for someone to take a look at the refrigerator in a timely manner. Well, I could not be happier with the service I got from David of Star Appliance. I am so glad that I got his name from Angie's List, because he was great! He was able to come quickly, stayed in contact with me to let me know when he was arriving, spent a lot of time with the refrigerator, which seemed to give him no end of trouble, and in the end only charged us for the part and labor that actually fixed our problem. He was professional and prompt, and I really felt I could trust him completely in the assessment of our problem and the final cost. I recommend David of Star Appliance unequivocally for all of your appliance repair needs.

Called to let me know when he was about to arrive, and arrived punctually. He checked out the dishwasher and determined the cost of repair would be more than the dishwasher was now worth. He made some honest suggestions about replacement, none of which would benefit him. I completely trusted that he was telling me the truth and giving me good advice.

He is the best guy that I have ever had work on anything. He was quick, pleasant, good communicator, had a good attitude and was very efficient. I called him, and within 2 hours he was at my door. I did not request same day service, he just happened to be available. He was in and out and had both jobs completed within 30 minutes. He did not track any debris into my home.

I called the office at 8:15, left a message, and David returned my call within about 15 minutes. He said that he could come out between 11 and 1. He called me at 10:30 to tell me he would arrive at 11. He arrived at 10:50. He was very friendly and professional. He pulled the refrigerator away from the wall, let me sweep away the crud and dust from underneath (yuck!) and then hooked up some diagnostic equipment. He told me that the problem was a compressor relay and showed me the part on the fridge, which was the original part on my 7 year old Whirlpool. He said that he could replace it with the original, but he had a non-factory part which he felt was much more reliable, and had never gone out on any of his repairs in 26 years. He told me it would be $229. So, he installed the new part, got the fridge up and running, and then proceeded to clean the coils under the refrigerator. He gave me a quick lesson on how to clean them myself. I paid with a check, and he was on his way.

My dryer went out on Christmas day. I called Star Appliance Service the next morning at about 10:00 a.m. Mr. Messick was apologetic for not being able to come out that very day. I was ecstatic that he could come out as early as the next day. We made the appointment for between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. He called the morning of the appointment to confirm his anticipated arrival time. He arrived at 11:10 a.m., was very pleasant, diagnosed the problem quickly, repaired the dryer, checked out the vent system and adjusted it, and talked me about how to keep it clear. The whole process only took about 30 minutes. I will definitely call him next time we have a problem and will highly recommend him to my friends.

Response to the service call was very quick - less than two hours.

I was given a choice of the very next day (great to me!) between 10 am and noon (great for me too!) Dave arrived at 10:15 a.m. He had my washer working in about 5 minutes, and then he left without charging me. I offered him gas money, but he said he would just like referrals. What a pleasant experience!

He was able to come right out and take a look at it. He was here within 45 minutes like he said he would be. His prices were reasonable. He seemed to be pretty knowledgeable about refrigerators and even looked at the fan. When he came out, he was very professional and went right to work. He even suggested some places for us to get a new refrigerator.

Perfect. The freezer was cold but the fridge was not. Dave came out on Thursday (the day I called him), assessed the problem and returned on Friday (as promised with the part needed to make the repair). Dave also helped clean the interior a bit and waited for me to vacuum behind the fridge while it was pulled out.

Very fast, called back ASAP and came over the same morning. Up and running in no time.

I contacted David during his vacation, and he returned my call the first day he returned to work. He identified the problem within the first ten minutes, had the part on his truck and replaced the defective part within 20 minutes. He made sure oven was working before leaving. Whole process was about 45 minutes from arrival to departure. David was very professional, informative and thorough. That's just what I expected!

The work has fixed the problem. Happy that the problem's are fixed but given no parts were used and the work took less than an hour to perform I wasn't to happy with the $90 charge - $65 would have been a fair charge. I would use them in the future but I'd need to know what their hourly rate was before the project began.

Dave came out promptly and examined the washing machine. He determined that it was a plumbing problem rather than an appliance problem, charged a reasonable service call fee and recommended a good plumber in the area.

The repairman showed up and did a great job. He was on time. It only took him about 45 minutes to get the oven working. He did stick around to make sure it heated up to 375 degrees before he left my house.

Excellent! They arrived on time. Properly diagnosed both problems. Promptly made the repairs. And charged a very fair price. I highly recommend them for appliance repairs and will use them in the future myself.

Dave arrived as per the agreed appointment window and pulled the oven from the cabinet mount. He identified the problem immediately after removing the back of the oven and replaced the thermostat. Once finished, he corrected the securing of the oven as the initial installation was sub par at no additional cost. He is very good and quick and a definite asset to Angie's List.
