STAR APPLIANCE SERVICE

I called Star Appliance mid morning and Dave came out by noon that same day. He was professional and courteous. Got right to work. Told me the problem, that he could fix it in about an hour and gave me an estimate of labor cocts.

As requested, David called first and my husband drove home from work to meet him. David was very punctual. This wasn't a complicated job but nonetheless, he did very good work. My husband was very pleased (we are normally do-it-yourselfers because it is so hard to get quality work). We will happily call Star again for any other appliance work we need.

He was really good. It hasn't broken down to this day. We had to have it replaced. He came back out and refunded our money. He was a good guy.

I appreciate the fact that he came right away when we called. He tried everything he could to re-wire this refrigerator. I really appreciate the efforts that he put forth to try and fix the refrigerator rather than just trying to sell me a new one, that’s exactly what I needed at that time. He was responsive and professional.

The latch on our dishwasher door broke. I called Star Appliance and David promptly answered. We set up an appointment for the next day. He called and said he could come early. He gave us a price before doing the work. He was personable, courteous and professional. I will definitely call him in the future.

Called on Tuesday and set up a time for them to come the next day. Dave arrived exactly on time, diagnosed the problem in a few minutes as a defective mother board, had the part in the truck, replaced it within an hour, cleaned up the defrosted ice and water. Most impressed by his promptness, work quality and having the necessary parts on hand.

When I placed the initial call to Star, Dave answered the call--no messages. I explained the problem, as I had researched this online over the weekend, but did not have the model number of the oven. Dave quoted his service fee price and offered to come out that afternoon. As that didn't work for my schedule, we scheduled the service call for the following day between the times of 10:30 and 1:00. Dave agreed to provide 30-40 minutes notice so that I would not miss more work than needed. He called midway through the time spread and arrived promptly. He immediately went to work and confirmed that the mother board was bad. He was able to find the replacement part, quoted a price, left to pick it up, installed it, and performed a number ot tests to insure that the oven was working properly--all in the same afternoon! Dave was very knowledgeable about appliances, courteous and didn't make a mess! I will definitely call him for future applicance repairs.

David diagnosed the problem quickly and repaired the installation in both apartments.

I had an excellent experience! I called Star the Saturday before Christmas and left a message for Dave. He called me back on Monday, 12/22, and we agreed that he would be at my house between 11:00 and 1:00 on Tuesday, 12/23. He called me when he was 30 minutes away so I could leave my office to meet him and we arrived at the same time. I showed him how water was accumulating in the refrigerator and he immediately knew what was causing it and what to do about it. He gave me a price and started on it right away. Within an hour my refrigerator was repaired and I was extremely happy! I had out of state guests arriving for the holiday and I really needed my refrigerator to be working. Thanks Dave. You made my holiday!

David was great. Knew what he was doing, did not try to "snow" me and also gave me some free advice on future washer dryer purchases.

He was on time and courteous. He told us what we needed to know. He did recommend a place to go to possible buy a used over.

They were efficient, on time and they waited for me. They are very dependable. Everything is working good. He also did some extra work for me at no extra charge.

We set a time 2 days in advance(I was unavailable earlier). He called about 30 minutes before arriving, and showed up on time. I showed him the refrigerator and explained the problem. He removed the plastic panel that covers the controls and did some testing, confirming that the problem was with the cold control. He called a local business that sells appliance parts and checked that they had it in stock. He offered to replace it for the cost of the part and labor, but told me that I could easily do it myself. I had replaced some other parts on the fridge before, so he showed me that it was a very simple part to replace, gave me the number and address of the parts outlet, and charged me a very reasonable $59 service charge. I was very impressed with his honesty ability to willingness to explain problem with the appliance. He will definitely be my "go to" guy for appliance repairs in the from now on.

This was my first experience with this company. I called Monday morning and got voice mail-left a message with the problem, my name and phone number. Dave called back an hour or so later and said he would be out the next morning between 10 and 12. He called Tues. morning at 10:10 and said he would be here in 20 minutes. At 10:30 he was at the door, looked at the machine, told me what was wrong and what the price would be. He made the repair quickly while I watched and chatted with him. I usually like to watch repairs being made so I can be a little more educated when things go wrong-also, I like to find a repair person I can stick with, so personality and integrity are very important to me. After he left I noticed the drum moving about more than I remembered, so I called him and he came back within the hour. Turns out it is supposed to do that... He even made a minor adjustment on my refrigerator door while he was here the second time and didn't charge me. I am very happy when I find someone I feel I can count on when I need repairs or maintenance on and around my house. I will definitely call Dave again when I need a repair on a large appliance and would recommend him to my friends and family.

Fast, clean, professional, had the right part with him and gave a discount. Did not charge for a second service call when we had actually left the refrigerator door open and the motor was fine.

The technician showed up promptly and diagnosed the problem quickly. He happened to have a switch on his truck in a box labeled "old Maytag switch," and it worked!

Dave took my call on the first ring. We arranged for a house call for the next morning. Dave arrived on time and ready to work. The repair was done in workmanlike manner, efficient and effective. Dave called me during the repair to inform me of the scope and cost prior to completion of the repair. Excellent job and excellent experience overall. I will use him and Star again.

The service was very good. He were very professional and courteous. He did very well and was very kind. He showed up on time and the price was reasonable. He explained everything he did. I would recommend him.

He came out to repair my dryer that was not cooling on Thursday after hurricane Ike, I was not at work because of the hurricane. He said that it had a lot of dog hair inside and in the vent hose and cleaned it out. I ran two loads of clothes after he "fixed" it before it stopped heating. I called him and he told me that there are 2 circuit breakers and that I needed to make sure they were both on. I reset them and it still did not work. I tried to contact him. I left several messages on several days before he called me back. He said that he could come that afternoon but I have a job and I cannot leave. I asked him if he could come after work or on the weekend. He told me that he did not do that. So much for service.

Called Star about 4:15 pm, explained problem, and David arranged to come out about noon the next day. David called about 11:15 the next day to say he was on his way. He quickly diagnosed the problem, took the time to explain the workings of the refrigerator's circulation cooling, and what the problem with our refrigerator most likely was. David was very professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with.

Great! I contacted Star 2 days before the arrival of hurricane Ike. We couldn't get together till September 18 due to the storm, loss of power and other problems. He was in constant communication with us to let us know what was going on, a rare attribute these days.

Dave, as before, did exactly what he promised, in a timely manner, at a reasonable price.

I have used this company before with excellent results and was not at all disappointed this time as well. Within one hour's time, Dave repaired the clothes dryer, checked the cook-top burners, and repaired the refrigerator shelf. He is punctual, completely professional, highly knowledgeable, and committed to high quality work.

I called about 9 am and had service the same day. Very courteous and prompt. He diagnosed the problem and fixed the thermostat wiring. He checked out the exhaust problem and let us know who to call to fix it. Since it went through the roof and was not easily accessible he recommended a chimney sweep to come and clean it out. He left the dryer usable and said it would be fine with the room exhaust for a month or so and instructed us on how to use the dryer until the exhaust vent was cleaned out.
