Guardian Chimney Sweep

They were great. I did not know where my outlet was because my washer and dryer are up on the third floor and I thought they were vented out to the back of the house. It turned out that was true and the guy who came found out that it went through the attic. He also cleaned the vent at the back of the house that was from the kitchen. They were having a special offer at that time. They were great. Their price was excellent. I rate them high overall.

See above. The gutter work portion of the work after three attempts to schedule never gets done as explained in detail above. The dryer vent cleaning done and I was satisfied with that. They had me staying home three days because of their rude behavior.

They arrived on time. They were very personable and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves. I have used them in the past.

I thought they did an excellent job. It was a windy day on the day he came to clean the chimney. I had the windows open and the fans going. They clean the chimney from the inside with a vacuum cleaner. They are supposed to close the windows and turn off the fans because it can cause the soot to come into the house. This happened to me and there was soot all over my house. It wasn't too bad but if you ran your finger across any surface it turned up black. I called the owner and he offered to have my house cleaned or to refund my money. He said that the technician should have known better. He also offered me a coupon. I would use this company again in the future.

He was very good, thorough, and fixed the problem. I was happy with that. It was the first time we had hired a chimney sweep. The price was comparable. He also adjusted the damper thing. I wasn’t bowled over, but he was professional, good, and did the job. After he fixed the dampers, he went outside, got on the roof, and looked down through the chimney to make sure there were no bird’s nests or anything in there, which was above and beyond. I don’t remember of anything that I thought was deficient. It seemed a bit pricey, but I was just happy to have it done. He came the very next day I called.

This company is FANTASTIC! My attic was full of lint because the builder of my house didn't extend the dryer vent to the outside of the house. Billy, from Guardian Chimney Sweep, came in and assessed the problem. I could tell that he was extremely knowledgable and the price was more than fair. He was back within 2 days to do the actual work. His work was EXCELLENT! He only uses this certain kind of vent that birds and other critters can't get into and nest. He was having a hard time finding one, but instead of settling for something inferior, he continued to shop for the one he thought was best. He was so professional. It's hard to find good contractors these days and I'm not easily impressed because I've seen so many bad ones. I was extremely impressed with Billy. It's so refreshing to do business with someone who knows exactly what they are doing and does it in such a professional manner. I will definitely use this company again and will recommend them to all of my friends and neighbors. Excellent work! One more thing - Billy also checked my chimneys and made a repair to one of the fireplace gas lines. I have never used my fireplaces because I was afraid they weren't constructed safely. Billy checked them out and assured me they were in good shape. I will now be using them for the first time since I've moved into my home.

l.We were looking for a company with great reviews that we would know would do a great job because one of my boys has severe allergies and sinus problems. I had many coupons from the value paks etc with cheap rates but in calling them to find out what all it entailed it only included the vacuuming of the vents and no disinfecting. I would ask how much it would be to have them disinfected as well and not ONE company could give me an estimate. They all told me they would just have to see what they find once they get in there. I have been down that path before with other companies and that means they will get in there and tell you some horror story to make you pay more and then you are spending well beyond the $50 price the coupon was for because you now have to get rid of mold and they claim they have to do a million other things before treating the mold which is SO far from the truth. We decided to join Angie's List to find a good company as we are people who like to read reviews on pretty much everything being a single income family. I came across Guardian Chimney Sweep and was kind of surprised to find they did came up under air duct cleaning but I called as their reviews were glowing from previous customers. The first huge difference was in the initial call. The wonderful woman that answered the phone was nothing but nice and helpful and listened and without hesitation gave me a quote and scheduled the appointment within a week. It might have been sooner if he did not have to drive three hours to get to my house which blew my mind. Billy called ahead to tell me he was running a little behind and asked if it was still ok for him to come and I told him of course. Billy was so AMAZING! Such a genuinely nice man and it is obvious he loves what he does. He is so considerate of your walls and floors and above that while he was here my 15 month old was asleep still. Anytime he went upstairs to check the path of the ventilation system he was so quiet which has never happened from other companies that come here to do things. Billy started downstairs since the baby was asleep and every time moved from vent to vent he moved a sheet that went under the ladder to protect the floor and if needed he had another sheet to cover something else like a kitchen table or anything else. Once he finished in a room he even cleaned up after himself which was only spackle from the ceiling from removing the vent covers. Billy and I spoke about all kinds of things and I had mentioned I needed the chimney cleaned out at some point but just don't have the money at this time to get it done but will for sure call him back and he looked up in the chimney and told me I was good for at least one more winter before needing to have it cleaned. I mean really who does that anymore. Most companies would charge you just to look let alone actually tell you, you don't need to have it done just yet. Now a days most companies are trying to up-sell on everything and tell you that you need things done that you really don't. At the end I paid exactly what was quoted to me and I cannot say enough about Billy and this company. I will for sure call him back without a doubt or hesitation. If you want a great job done with a trust worthy person and company then PLEASE call Guardian Chimney Sweep. There are really not enough words to express how impressed I was with them.

Tech arrived exactly on time. Cleaned dryer vent and removed significant amount of lint. This vent goes to roof of a 2 story, so not easy for us to access. He was able to tap into pipe in the attic. Cleaned up after himself and honored the $89 Angie's list special and said they would honor the same price if we called again next year (recommended).

They did fine work. They cleaned everything out and were very professional. I would recommend them.

We called and set up a Chimney Sweep and Dryer Vent Cleaning because this was our second winter in our home and we didnt know what the maintenance was like with the previous owners. After inspecting both items they determined that really only the Dryer needed to be cleaned. He was very honest and very informative. We will use them again next year for our Chimney.

They did a very good job. My interaction with them went very well. I had one touch up that was needed, and they came out promptly and fixed that. I would give them a really good rating on their work. I got a quote from another company, and their price was good and very competitive. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

He did all the repairs and didn't charge me more than the service charge. He did what needed to be done to pass the inspection and told me if it didn't pass to call him back and he would come out and fix it free of charge.He was here when he said he was going to be here and did the repairs in a reasonable amount of time and then was gone. He is honest about his business and doesn't do more than need to get things repaired.

I found the cap or crown of my chimney sitting in my backyard and sat it on a chair on my patio. I found Guardian Chimney Sweep on Angie's list and called them in the afternoon on January 2, 2012 to see when they could send a representative to look at my chimney and the loose ash dump trap cover at the bottom of the brick. Steven came the next day, assessed the damaged top of the chimney. He explained that the top rim was missing some concrete and therefore there was a large hole there. Even if he replaced the original cap, it wouldn't stay in place. He also checked the ash dump trap cover and discovered the masonry around the door had chipped off. He gave me an estimate to replace the concrete around the top of the chimney and around the ash dump trap. When I asked when he could do the work, he said he would do it right then. He did all the concrete work and put on a new cap or crown on top. He replaced the masonry around the trap door and braced it with a large board that he said needed to stay until the concrete dried. He said I could remove it by this weekend. I was not at home when the work was completed and I was worried how I was going to pay him, but he said his office would call me later for a credit card number. No one called me, so I called the office the next morning and gave them the number. The office emailed me a receipt immediately. My experience was a good one: Quick response, good work and friendly people. I would definitely use them again.

We noticed that during a rainstorm, water was dripping into our fireplace. I looked at the flashing around the chimney but couldn't see anything obvious. We called Guardian Chimney Sweep to come out and inspect our chimney. Bill came out Dec. 23 and inspected the flashing again. He said the flashing was very rusty but the crown of the chimney was solid and undamaged. It was highly likely the water was coming from the flashing and he would have to call later with a date to come fix it. He came back a day or two after Christmas and sealed the flashing. He was a little late, but he called beforehand and told us the approximate time he would be here. He was very friendly and knowledgeable.

The contact person’s name is Billy Little. I spent $200 on his services. The guy that came out was on time and I think he did a thorough job. He didn’t mess around. He is reliable. His price was about average. He wasn’t any cheaper than anybody else. It was about fine in terms of price. I will definitely use his services again in the future if I needed to.

It was a reasonable price and they did a good job. They cleaned up real nice and left no mess. He wasn't here a long time because he didn't take too long, but we've used our fireplace since and it works great. I have no negative feedback to give.

They memtioned the vent was indeed getting clogged and I should notice a difference in dryer time. The gas logs....they too were dirty and dusty. Billy cleaned, checked and made a small repair. I thought it was the dryer but it was indeed the vent. The drying time was cut. After a week or so the logs stopped again...I called Billy out agin and he said a part needed replaced...did I want to pay $700.00 right before the holiday? Thank God I waited....my husband talked to the company that installed the logs when the house was built...they can out and checked again...cleaned...again and replaced the part for $225.00. I won't call Billy again............
