Guardian Chimney Sweep

Great experience! Found them on Angie's List after learning the problem was not my dryer, but a clogged dryer vent the builder sent up through the roof line. Came out the day after I called, right on time. Immediately ran into a problem where the dryer would not cycle due to a sensor not being correctly hooked up, but the tech worked around that problem by dissasembling the ductwork in the attic and working both up through the roof and back down to the dryer. Took a short time to fix the problem, he cleaned up leaving no mess behind and was done! We discussed the frequency we'll need. Very professional and friendly. Will use them again, now that we'll be on a schedule.

Not much drama: they came on time, cleaned the gutters, and that was about it. They did a good job.

Will use them again next year to clean dryer vents with pipes out through attic.

Technician arrived on time and went straight to work. I appreciate that he wanted to do the work, but I was completely new to this type of service and had no idea what to expect. I felt that the whole visit, I was just guessing at what he was doing. I expected him to check the dryer vent behind the dryer but he did not. I did not expect a lot of noise in the dryer vent, and it was only explained after I went outside and called out to him on the roof. Ironically, the only time he was very communicative was to passive-aggressively tell me there was a lot of dog hair in the dryer vent, and I should have the dryer vent cleaned out every year - if I didn't believe him then I should google it! I have never been in a home that had a dryer vent go up through to the roof (as opposed to just outside on the other side of the wall) so I was unaware of the regularity that cleaning needed to happen. The company did a great job; however, the technician did not provide information when it was wanted but did provide snark when I was not expecting it.

We have a 4000 square foot two story house with a detached garage. There are gutters all the way around the garage and most of the way around both stories of the house. We just cannot keep up with cleaning the gutters. They charged us about $130 to clean out all the gutters and they were done in less than 2 hours. The price was decent and they are bonded. I can't complain about the work or worker. I would use them again.

Very professional and helpful. Arrived at the end of the agreed slot, but had had some trouble finding our townhome. Respected our no-shoe house rule. Very solution oriented approach. Did a thorough job and was very helpful all around. Did not try to sell extra. Cleaned up after himself. Very professional polite and helpful.

We have a gas dryer, so the wife did not want him to disconnect and move it. He cleaned the line from the roof.

I have netting covers on the gutters and the gentleman who came was able to take care of the debris just fine. In the back of our house, there is a shade covering and it had served as a leaf dam. He was able to clean it up very well. Thanks!

The service men did arrive on time. They went up to the laundry area, pulled out the dryer, and worked the brush up through the vent to the opening on the roof. Overall they did a good job. I was a little bit disappointed that they did not clean up after themselves thoroughly when the job was finished, though.

The gutters are nice and clean. I was happy with the job.

We selected Guardian because of a recommended promotion by Angies List, and we were not disappointed. Our dryer vent is very long and extends in such a way that makes it pretty challenging. We were unsuccessful with some previous companies, but the guys at Guardian knew what they were doing. In fact, the owner came out and looked at it himself and determined that there was something obstructing the vent, and found a sock! All-in-all, very happy with the service and have them on our calendar to perform the follow-up service.

John Little did the job. He brought his industrial grade vaccuum cleaner with attached brush and cleaned every duct thoroughly all the way up to the AC unit in the attic and also the intake vent. He then cleaned the dryer vent all the way to the roof plus he cleaned the pocket where the mesh filter goes into the dryer. He then gave me the brush he used so that I can clean out that pocket from time to time. He told me there was a lot of dust on top of the kitchen cabinets and offered to vaccuum those too at no extra cost. Finally John checked the gas logs in our fireplace. They were OK but he noticed that the chimney vent was open and he closed it, probably saving us $50 a month on our electricity bill. The price was as quoted over the phone, $330 for air duct cleaning and $50 for the dryer vent cleaning plus taxes.

I spoke with a very pleasant and efficient woman on the phone and she set up our time and date for an estimate. She said the owner would be coming to do it. He was a no show. We called and left a message asking what had happened. Unexpected emergencies happen,that's understandable. But. We never heard back from anyone. Too bad. They sound like normally they do good work but not to get any kind of response after not showing up? We will be going with another company.

I used the Angie's deal and Billy was out the very next day. He was on-time and is a really nice guy. I had some damage (I knew I did) and he fixed it, cleaned the vent and all in all it was less than 45min. My dryer works so much faster now!

The technician showed up on time and were very professional. He found that the outside cage on the dryer vent had come loose and he repaired it at no extra charge. When the technicians came previously to repair my fireplace vent, they were very honest in telling me that any repairs they did would not be permanent and the only way to repair the handle permanently was to replace the entire guts of the chimney and they would not recommend such a costly job just for a broken handle. They showed me how to open and close the flue with the pliers and recommended a yearly inspection but there was no pressure or scare tactics.

He arrived on time on the appointed day, performed the service professionally, left everything clean, did extra service at no charge (installed my chimney cap) and was finished in a very reasonable time.

I purchased Guardian Chimney Sweep's coupon on Angie's List for cleaning out the dryer vent/air duct on my clothes dryer in my garage. Scheduled the service about a month after purchasing the coupon. Scheduling was fast and easy. The workman showed up on time, performed the job, saw that the dryer vent was not attached properly to the dryer and fixed it. Dryer has been working much better since then. All I had to do was clean up a little lint that had accumulated. The coupon was a great deal on something that needed to be done at my house since I was at risk of a fire hazard otherwise. I would definitely recommend Guardian Chimney Sweep to my friends.

Guardian Chimney Sweep was extremely professional in cleaning our air ducts. They arrived on time and quickly completed the work. During the process, they took extra care to avoid any dirt getting on our light colored carpet. The owner himself cheerfully performed the work and he pointed out some small problems which were addressed during his visit. We were quoted a price over the phone which is exactly what we were charged. No additional upselling was attempted, which was refreshing. Extremely courtesious and professional. Billy Little came to our home, covered the work area with a drop cloth, cleaned the chimney from the inside and then inspected the chimney from the roof top. No soot was dispensed into the air and the whole process took about 45 minutes. Excellent service and would highly recommend him.

They gave me an hour window for the time they would show up and they showed up within the hour! They did the vent inspection at no extra charge and that was great! He also checked our dryer vent for us since he was here which was great as well because I was just about to buy a package to get that checked. He went above and beyond our expectations. He also did a great a job of cleaning up after himself. He was just wonderful and could not have been a nicer person. It could not have been a better experience.

Showed up on time, climbed up on roof and reached into gutter and grabbed leaf and pine needle debris out of gutter and placed it in garbage bag. Cleaned up around the house after he was finished with gutters.

i called for details and appointment and the office manager was exceptionally nice and informative. the service technician was very punctual and thorough. he put down his equipment to cover the hearth and floor to keep it clean and didn't get one spec of ash anywhere. he did a good job and left things better than before he came. i would definitely use them again and recommend them.
