During the Memorial day floods in 2015 there was 4-6 inches of water at
the back of my house and I watched with trepidation as my flood proofing
was being tested. However no water came in and I went to bed knowing
that I was safe. After the floods cleared I called Ron and he looked
around my house again and suggested that I consider flood proofing
additional areas in the front where the water was close to the brick
line. I paid for the additional work and now feel very safe about
handling floods. In the floods of 2016 I had 2-3 inches of water at the
back of my house and I did not even bother to look given my results
from the previous year.
I strongly recommend flood proofing homes and endorse using Ron Helton
and FloodSafeUSA. May God bless him and his family for providing such
great service and treating their customers right.
Basically what they did was to clear all the dirt from the base at the slab of the outside all around the house.
They then rose the weep holes on the brick walls having sealed the lower ones.
They then filled the walls with some kind of material like cement ( not sure what) between the outside and inside walls about twelve inches.
Since we had no wood floors or walls because of the flood, it really helped them being able to work without having to protect any of it, but by the same token, there was some furniture around as well as other items, and they took care of our things as if they belonged to them !!!
They were always on time, and never ever left any trash any where.
Mr. Helton was extremely responsible when directing and supervising the crew that was performing the work. There were times of course, when they could not come due to rainy conditions here and there. :( aside from that every thing was great !!!
They installed new metal doors which close so tightly, water could never come in the house !!! They took care of painting and finishing the job to our complete satisfaction.
My husband and I woke up "ion an island" the day after the flood that occurred on Tax Day in April of 2016. While many neighbors woke up yet again to their flooded homes, he and I kept hugging each other every time we looked down at our floors and nice rugs in complete disbelieve at the fact that " WE WERE COMPLETELY DRY " !!!!!
We strongly recommend this Company and their owners. They became like part of our family.
WE WOULD NOT HESITATE IN CALLING THEM AGAIN !!!
