Glass Doctor of Dallas Metroplex

When we contacted them, we had to wait 2 weeks before they could come out to do the job. When they did come out, they called before coming and arrived on time. They were friendly and courteous and overall did a good job. However, they mis-measured the size of the replacement screen and had to reorder. When they returned to put the screen on one of the vinyl glazing breads had popped out and had to be glued into place. Windows were old so am sure there were difficulties in mending.

Buyer beware. Bait and switch company. I waited a few days to write this review solely because I wanted to see how the company was going to reach out and try to resolve this matter. To make a long story short, the manager of the sales team came out and gave me a quote on three showers. He wanted me to make a decision that day and offered an additional discount if I gave half down that day. I told him I needed to speak with my husband and would let him know. That was Friday. Monday I contacted him to tell him that we were going to go with his company but he said the discount didn't apply anymore bc that was a promotion that ended in September. I said I saw him October 4 so how was that possible? Lie number 1....and the price went up 100. Then I said to b clear how long is the price your telling me good for. He gave me 5 days saying if the decision was not made by then it will go up almost 700.00. I sent him a message stating that we were going with his company only to get a reply 6 hours later saying they revisited the quote and could not do it for that price and if I wanted to proceed it will b at some other cost. Almost 800.00 from his original price. Lie 2. So I contacted the manager of this branch. He apologized but said the owner would b contacting me. Day three and nothing. I just want consumers to know the tactics and unprofessional ism of this company. If ur lead manager of your sales team cannot give a correct quote then flip flops three times something has to be going on.

Called them yesterday after finding on AL. Super Service Award winner. Gave me a price that was less than the big national chain. Plus they had a AL coupon they let me use for another $25 off. They had a opening to come out today. The other place, all their shops were too busy to come by so I wouldve had to take time off work to take it it. Glass Doctor easy to work w on phone, had time for a tech to come out today. They called me back later yesterday to confirm. Tech James Cleary called today because he couldnt find the street but someone had mispelled it. Met me 20min later and changed the window and vacuumed the car out. Looks great. Fast service. Easy to work w on the phone and in person. Price ended up $117 less than national chain. Awesome experience.

My overall experience with Glass Doctor was great! I called to for a quote and scheduled the repair for the next day. They came to me at work, which was very convenient, and had it done in about an hour. The technician, Steve did a great job! He cleaned up dashboard and left no trace that he had been there. All the stickers, state inspection, registration, toll tag were all placed back on the new windshield very neatly. He explained everything done, and about the warranty coverage and to contact them if I have any issues. The glass quality looks great, better than the previous replacement that I had from years ago by a different company. I could have gotten a cheaper windshield from someone else, but was willing to pay a little more for better quality and a warranty.

Everyone in the company that I had contact with was very professional and friendly. the tech arrived early (called first) and was done with the repair in about an hour. Everything was clean and you could not tell that the windshield had been replaced.

Called on 7/10 to have windshield replaced. Appt scheduled for Saturday 7/12.Theycalled and said they had to reschedule. Sched for 7/19 received a call that the glass was scratched and that they had to resched again. I'll pay the higher price and have Safelite do rit!!!11

Hubby took the car to the shop, got him in right away and windshield was fixed within 1 hour! Also used coupon so we paid super cheap!

I asked for someone to come by to measure my front storm door and provide me with an estimate. I received a call from the representative apprising me of what it would cost would be to replace the glass in the front storm door. When I arrived home, I discovered the entire glass was everywhere and had fell out. The glass was already shattered and it probably wouldn't have taken much for the entire glass to have fallen out but at the very least the rep could have least informed me of this when we were on the phone or cleaned up the mess, both which weren't done. When I contacted the rep's (whose name is Manny)supervisor who was at first apologetic, and then became very combative, he informed me it wasn't their responsibility to clean up any mess and how would I be able to prove they did it in the first place? He ended the conversation by implying since I didn't choose their company to replace the glass he didn't feel they weren't obligated to do anything. I've also filed a complaint against this company with the Better Business Bureau as well. Update in response to the Glass Doctor's remarks. Attached are pictures of the mess left by the Glass Doctor, and pictures are worth a thousand words they say. I would ask that whomever reads this review in its entirety pays close attention to the fact my complaint is for the mess left when the representative tried to measure the door in the first place with the glass already shattered and already to fall out. As I stated to the company, he had the choice of either not touching the door in order avoid the responsibility of having to clean the mess and calling me to ask if I still wanted to proceed by getting my ok, or apprising me when we spoke on the phone that the glass was out and there will be a mess when I got home or better yet, exercise a bit of common sense and clean up the mess he made when trying to get measurements for a replacement glass. As you can see by the pics posted, he chose to do none of the above and by the companies callous response, they could care less.

I called on Thursday June 19, 2014, to schedule an appointment. I spoke with someone who said that Saturday appointments are not available. After expressing how difficult it was for me to get away from work (normal business hours) he said that narrowing down a service call to 4:00pm or later would not be a problem considering how close I lived to their office (less than 10 miles). I went ahead and scheduled an appointment for today, June 23rd. He also said I would receive a call the day of service to give me an hour notice prior to their arrival. I made arrangements to leave work at 3:30pm and be home by 3:45 pm. I missed a call from Glass Doctors at 2:36pm (no message) and returned their call at 3:19pm only to be told that they were in the area earlier in the day today and needed to reschedule to a different day. It takes me 15 minutes to get home, so if I was actually given that hour notice I could have made it happen. I didn't get my <4:00 appointment and I didn't get my one hour courtesy call, to me that is very disrespectful of my time. I would have rather been told they weren't able to do it in the time frame that I was available instead of having me jump through hoops and then not follow through.

They did a good job and were efficient. He was on time and came out to my home. He was personable and I would recommend him to anyone.

Overall they were professional and easy to work with, but my problem was that I wanted to get this done before I had company coming to town, and they originally told me that it would be finished and delivered on time. However, the week it was supposed to be complete and installed, I had to call THEM, and then they told me that it wasn't going to be finished. They didn't apologize or seem to acknowledge that I had spoken to them and was on an urgent timeline. Then a couple of weeks later, when the installer was on his way, he called to tell me that they hadn't cut the glass correctly. So then about a week later, I heard back from them again, and finally they scheduled the installation and it went well. Main point is that they originally told me 5-7 days but it ended up taking over a month, so if you're on a tight timeline I would not recommend them.

Very responsive. Arrived as scheduled. Very knowledgeable. Still waiting for estimates and determination if windows are still in warranty.

Technician called approx. 30 minutes prior to arrival. Showed up on time. Was very professional, we talked during the entire process. He took care to do a good job. I would definitely use them again.

Initial consultation was great - very professional estimator. Crew was on time and worked all day. Drove our dogs crazy but hey - they take the time to do their job right the first time!

The installed did a fine job removing the door trim and cracked glass. He was very thorough in preparing the door to receive the new glass and did a professional looking job installing the new glass.

My experience has gone well so far. I talked with Jesse. The pricing was reasonable and I am excited to see the finished product.

They had to special the glass panel & it took a week. They called me when it was in & made an appointment to come out & install it. It cost $200-300 I think (expensive) but I was informed before the order was made. They were professional & provided god service.

I called Glass Doctors on 3/6/2014 to see about pricing to replace my broken windshield. Jesse took my call and was very friendly and helpful in answering my many questions about the glass, quality, warranty, the installation, etc. I felt comfortable and scheduled the installation for the upcoming Monday 3/10. On Saturday, I received and missed a call from Jesse confirming my appointment on Monday. I returned the call but was unable to reach anyone. Monday morning, I called Glass Doctors and spoke with Jesse and asked about my appointment. He said they had to move it to 1:00pm due to another job that got scheduled. The installer James arrived and was friendly and seemed knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He performed the work that was required and did a good job. We talked about possible issues that could come up such as wind noise and he said Glass Doctors would take care of it. I have had the new windshield for a few days now and have not noticed anything different from the original OEM glass. I am very happy with how the installation went, the pricing, and 12 month warranty.

They were very professional and the price was reasonable.

They were punctual. However, I do not think the worker was well trained. After the windshield chip repair we can still see some of the damage. The worker told us that if the windshield had been treated with Rain-X there could be problems. We never treated the windshield with Rain-X. So we asked the worker why he did not clean it off prior to attempting the fix - he had no answer. I would say unprofessional for charging top dollar!.

The reason that I gave them a C on price as it seemed awfully pricy to replace a single 8 x 11 single pane of glass.

The technician was knowledgeable and courteous. He also cleaned up behind his self after completing the work, including removing fingerprints and marks from the new glass. In short, I was pleased with the service and would use them again.

Not every glass company offers repair on thermal double pane glass and they do which I really liked and they came recommended. They first had to come out and take measurements and order the part. I only had to wait a week for the part to arrive and get it installed. One technician came out to do the installation and it took less than hour. The results turned out excellent and the glass has a lifetime warranty.

They were able to provide an estiamte for me beforehand. Scheduling went well and two people came out to do the work. They were able to come out right away. While they were here, they accidentally cracked another window so they had to replace two of them.

Their turn around time was pretty fast in regards to getting an estimate and they all acted pretty professionally. One technician came out to do the work and it took about 4 hours to install the window. I would use them again if I needed it.
