Description of Work: We used Viking to add a fence around our pool 25 years ago. It has withstood many years of use and served us well. We want to replace our very large yard with a substantial new fencing project so, of course, Viking was the first company I contacted. I called the phone number twice on a weekday and NO ONE ever picked up. No answering machine or service. So I entered my information for a quote online. After two days I finally received an email from Wayne. After a couple of emails back and forth, he more or less discouraged me from the project I was inquiring about and NEVER offered to come for a site visit to discuss options. I was very disappointed and am now moving on.

Description of Work: Late to appt to give estimate. Did not show up on scheduled day to install fence. No phone call to explain until late in the day. Reset for next day at 8:30. Showed up at 10:20. Installed fence but left gap at bottom that dog could dig under. Had to create a barrier. Fence looks nice but I did not appreciate the way this job was handled. Very disappointed in Viking this time. I have used them before with much better service.

Description of Work: Viking Fence came out, diagnosed, and fixed our sliding gate's problem within 20 minutes and charged us less than $100. Another company wanted to charge us $2500 to replace the motor & motherboard (which wasn't the problem). Viking is an honest reliable company with very friendly staff.

Description of Work: Installed almost 800' of wrought iron fence. They were the only company that could get to the job in less than 2 months. The price was a little bit higher than others, but they did the whole job by hand, with no heavy equipment brought into the yard for drilling into the flint rock on our property. The heaviest equipment they used was an electric jack hammer. Sales process was excellent, follow through, and office support all great.

Description of Work: They were punctual, professional and delivered a quality fence. They had to work with several homeowners and divide the cost accordingly and they made the process easy. We were out of town alot but wanted to be home when they did the replacement and they worked with us on the schedule.Would definitely use agin.

The rock workers were perfectionists, meticulous and genuinely took pride in their work. We are delighted beyond our expectations. Brad followed up each day, and he even stopped by three times when workers were not present.
Description of Work: Viking removed a wooden fence, erected stone columns and a powder-coated iron fence with gate.

 + -1 moreI dealt with Robert Stevenson - both on the phone and in person. He was pleasant to work with. He quoted me a price of $3/linear foot of fence. I estimated 140 feet using a tape measure, which he measured more accurately with a distance wheel to be only 133 feet - saving me $20. He came out on a Sunday, took the fence down in slightly less than three hours, and hauled it off. He cut the posts off with a reciprocating saw - flush with the ground - which should work fine for my needs.
Description of Work: I had an old chain link fence that I wanted to remove. I called four fence companies. Viking Fence was the first company to respond and to express any interest in taking on my small project.

Description of Work: Very pleased in the quoting and installation of the wood and aluminum fence. However Viking had problems installing my auto gates as they quoted. They had subcontractors doing much of the work and ended up removing part of my driveway in the wrong spot. Viking did not stand behind the mistake and I had to get a different company to finish the job. The owner was the one making the decision not to complete the job they quoted.

The wooden boards were placed evenly and we haven't had any concerns or repairs to make. We had taken a couple of other estimates and Viking was very price competitive to the other fencing companies.
Description of Work: I had them build me a wooden privacy fence. It was a back section and down one side which, was 115 square foot of fencing.

 + -1 moreViking did a very good job and put up the fence within a week. The only problem we have is that the gates need some links re -stretched. However, I can't really blame them, as my dog's been jumping on the fence. However, they're going to come back and fix the damage.

 + -1 moreWe were very concerned with the possibility of damage to the trees and bushes during the work, but the workmen did a wonderful job at avoiding that. They were very understanding about it and did not complain, even though it took a little longer to be careful as they did. The fence was up, and in one and a half days and it blends in wonderfully with the surrounding landscape. Viking did an excellent job for us.
Description of Work: Viking Fence Company installed a two hundred foot wooden perimeter fence, with steel posts and a steel security gate.
