Michael's communication and respect and willingness to work within my construction budget are excellent. Over about a 2 year span, I spent a ridiculous amount of time meeting and talking with a lot of builders and finally found one matched well to this project, a 1479sf 2b/2.5 modern house on land I've owned for years ($235k is build cost alone). I found Michael after exhausting all other referral sources, which were many in number, including this site. I called BMC hoping mgt. would have some builder referrals, they did and that's how I found him. I feel great about where we are with the progress and heavily look forward to seeing this house go skyward. It's 6/14, I'll report back on completion, estimated to be around late Dec. '14. I'm sure the quality of the experience will still be an A, as well as the build quality.

After a severe wind storm came through our area, we needed a new roof. Michael came highly recommended by several friends and coworkers as a home builder who also did roofs, so we made sure he was among the four other estimates we received. His price was not the lowest, but he gave the air of integrity and his online portfolio was impressive. Before we chose a roofer, his crew had already nailed tarps over our damaged areas and offered the same service to our neighbors. The roof took a day for his crew to install, including radiant barrier, ridge vents, replacing vent caps, etc. They did a top notch job and it looks fantastic, far better than some of the cheaper jobs we've seen around town. In the end, it's just a roof and not anything fancy, so there's not a lot more I can say about it - it's a roof that was properly installed at a reasonable price. While he was originally on site to discuss the roof quote, I also talked to him about building a large back porch to match the house. Of all the contractors I've spoken to about this idea, he was the only one who actually listened. That evening, he sent photos of a similar project that fit my description. We decided to hire him and his team to build the porch. WOW did they do a great job! The attention to detail and craftsmanship is apparent in all areas, and it looks like an original build, not an addition. In fact, the only difference is that it is better built than our house! The price was very reasonable, well within our budget, and less than all the other contractors I've talked to in the past. In the future, I probably won't get competitive quotes on household projects, I'll just call Michael. If I ever want a custom home built, I will use Michael.
