A+ Sprinklers & Landscape

I was waiting on doing any work A+ Sprinklers & Landscape. I felt really negative about them and I kind of felt ripped off. The worker met my husband at the gate and he said, "So, what are we going to do here?" And we were going, "Okay, dokey, this was the Angie's List thing to check the sprinkler systems. So, he comes and he's never seen the type of system we've had or the brand that we've had. They're only familiar with their own brand, which they sell. We have sprinkler heads and all that we keep here, that we replace. He pretty much just used our sprinkler heads to replace some that were broken, which my husband could have done, but the point was, we're getting older and I wanted to kind of establish some sort of place where people can come out and do these things for us. He didn't do anything more. My husband had to go around and show him each one and pointed out what he wanted done about it. Basically, we live in an area where the grounds shifts. So, the foundation of the house has to be kept kind of equally damp year round. They get off kilter every so often, with lawn mowing and so forth. Then, the two sprinkler heads that we didn't have enough of - we only had a couple. They replaced them with their brand sprinkler heads and we ended up paying another $58.00 for it. So I'm going, "Yikes. We can do all that ourselves for nothing, for free." They didn't do anything because they weren't familiar with the type of system. He couldn't set the timer. Basically, we moved into this house and everything was already done, so we didn't have information on setting the timer. So, we've only had to set it by guesswork. We thought, "This is our chance to get somebody who knows what they're doing out here to tell us how to do it." He left and we're back to guessing when to turn it on and off and how to set it. He's only familiar with digital. Apparently, this is not digital. He was a younger guy who was not familiar with anything. He took the sprinkle heads out and put them in. So, we kind of felt like we were out $100.00. They said it was $49.00 for the Big Deal and another $58.00 once they came out. We just got the wrong person who couldn't do what we needed.

Had to come back for second visit to replace a bad sprinkler head, 11 replaced first visit. Also had to re-adjust previously adjusted sprinkler heads as many hot spots had appeared after initial visit. Company said they would not charge additional service charge for coming back as it had been less than a month from first visit. Original head replacements of 11 sprinkler heads and inspection of all sprinkler systems sections cost not including Angies List coupon of $45.00 was $442.43 for first visit and $120.31 for second visit. Sprinkler heads aimed better after 2nd visit and all heads functioning. So. $45.00 + $442.43 +$120.31 = $607.74 Sprinkler techs courteous and quick. Price too high.

Tech tested our entire system and then set about replacing and updating broken pipes and more than a couple of damaged sprinkler heads. Tech then set up our system for scheduled watering.

They were very through and knew what they were doing. They were courteous and professional.

Called ahead that they were on their way and arrived when promised. Went to work and repaired what needed to be in a timely manner.

I can get someone locally that would charge half or less of what I payed for this. They basically came out just told me a bunch of other things I should pay them to work on.

Bottom Line Up Front: Labor is way overpriced. The crew show up on time and performed the work as advertized. Be aware, however, that this team of two charged $90 per hour, which I thought was insane for sprinkler work. The only saving grace is that they quoted all prices up front, so I knew exactly what to expect. I would have happily had them do a lot more work but the price simply was not worth the result. My advice: Look elsewhere. The workmen were competent but priced on par with Maserati techs.

A+ Sprinklers & Landscape came to our house on time, just as promised. The supervisor was here to supervise his helpers and together, they got it done in a couple of hours. Everything is working great.

Eric arrived early which was great!!! He was very responsive to my call, came the same day. He and his assistant were professional. Eric takes pride in providing exceptional service. He fixed all the issues with the system. I will use A+ Sprinklers & Landscaping in the future and will recommend to any one who asks for a reliable and professional sprinkler specialist! Went well but I felt the charges were a little bit too high.

Eric, Patrick and Jacob were all awesome!! They were on time and called each time to let us know they were heading our way; they explained everything to me and answered all my questions; they did the work quickly and efficiently; they allowed me to use my own sprinkler parts; they even came back another time to adjust a few things at no charge. They were professional, courteous and did really good work. I will most definitely be calling on them in the future! I would highly recommend these guys to anyone!

We would definitely use this company again. We did not meet the owner, Eric, on this particular job, but he answered all my phone calls promptly and was professional, friendly and sent two great guys out to do the job.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They did a good job. The repairs that they had to do were over and above the Big Deal. He was very helpful and fair and honest. It was a good experience. We actually had them out again because we had something else that broke.

Professional and helpful; representative took time to explain what he was doing and why. Punctual and delivered on promised services bought with a coupon.

It was a pretty messed up situation and they dealt with the surprise and the adversity of it fairly well I thought. That was pretty good. I was generally pleased with their service.

Our sprinkler system had been in need of adjustments because some of the sprinkler heads would shoot water onto the driveway & into the street ending up in a lot of waste. After seeing Angie's Deal I figured I'd take advantage. Two gentleman arrived right on time & they went to work right away. After they did their inspection they told of me some sprinkler heads that needed replacing & they told me how much more it would cost so I told them to go ahead & do it. After a while they let me know that they were done so I asked if they could turn on the sprinklers so that I could see how everything turned out. I was very disappointed to find that some of the sprinkler heads were still spraying water onto the street & driveway! I pointed this out to them & they made some more adjustments. I then asked if we could check out the sprinkler system in the back yard & found that one of the sprinkler heads was actually shooting water over the privacy fence into the neighbor's yard!! I then asked the gentleman "don't you guys verify that everything's working properly before having the customer sign off on the job?" & his response was "well we're doing it now"... I then found another sprinkler head that kept spraying water onto the driveway & asked them to fix it. He told me that they would not be able to get everything done perfect. Be that as it may, then why advertise that this is something that they can fix? He then replaced that sprinkler head with a different kind & told me that it would end up wasting water because it would be putting out more than the others. Between that sprinkler head spraying more water onto the yard & not on the driveway I figured more water on the grass was the lesser of 2 evils. I could tell that he was getting frustrated because I kept finding things that were wrong but at that point it didn't matter to me because I was paying for a service & I expected them to follow through. In the end they finally got everything done like they were supposed to but not without me having to check their work. If anyone chooses to hire this company all I can say is be sure to check their work before signing off on it to make sure everything's in working order.

Very professional, called the next day after I bought The deal, and was here at the house within 5 days. Prompt, courteous And very nice. Would def use him again. Could not be happier, all my Sprinklers are working great.

they were on time, helped set up my sprinkler timer to be more efficient and not waste water, fixed a sprinkler head- they did a great job, made a few suggestions for future changes but didn't push for me to buy more than I wanted. Would definitely use them again

They were running behind but came out at the end of their day. They were really efficient and told me exactly what needed to be done and proceeded to do it. They missed about 3 sprinkler heads but it was understandable since they were covered with soil and would not pop up. A+ didn't install my sprinkler system but they did a good job servicing it. I would call on them again.

Excellent crew performed the work thoroughly. They communicated with me throughout the project and kept me aware of estimated cost as new required repairs were found. I would definitely use them in the future for additional landscaping work.

The men were scheduled to arrive between 3:00 and 5:00; they arrived at 7:00. No call to apologize for the lateness. We set up an appointment for 5/20 between 3:00 and 5:00 to do further repairs. They did not show up. Nor did they show up for the rescheduled time on Thursday, 5/23.

It went well. They were on time and got right to it.
