Craig ref#500 came out and installed the gas logs we had bought and did a great job. We would use them again if we needed.

There was a mixup and they missed the time window, but they made it right and got someone out there fairly quickly. Don came out and was very helpful.

I had a toilet pipe leak and it took several days for the technician to show-up as they were quite busy. So during that time, I attempted to repair the leak myself. I completed the repair and Ernie's technician arrived. He checked my work, ran some leak and pressure test. And did not charge me. | |These guys are GREAT!!! I highly recommend them.

I called Ernie's in the morning and they replied with a service call immediately. Craig arrived early. Craig is one of the nicest persons you could ever meet. Quite the happy gentleman! Plus, he is genius at what he does....everything is perfect. The company is obviously all about great service. They follow up the same day of the service to make sure everything was to your satisfaction. If every company in business could be like Ernie's Plumbing, we would all be "fixed" for life!

I was a little dismayed that I could not receive a quote over the phone to clear the roof vent for our laundry line. All I needed was a quote I had already received one estimate. In any case the technician came out and quoted us $305 to clear the line. I did schedule the work to be done for the following week due to ice being on the roof. I later called another highly recommended plumber from Angie's list which specializes in drain services only. The price was less than half of Ernie's rate and they provided the quote right over the phone and could come out that same day.

Very well. Work was done quickly and I have seen no leaks since. Originally the work was only to be done on one toilet, I asked the repairman if he would please do a second toilet and he was able to do both.

I had thiis plumbing company in my home 2 different times. The first was to install an new kitchen faucet after replaing countertops. The plumber sent to do the work greatly overestimated the time and $$ it would take to do this task and we had to negotiate the price. Because it was late in the day, I let him do the work. Later, I discovered I was left with a leaky drain under my sink so had to call someone to come redo that work. At my request, they sent a different plumber who was much more professional, had more experience, and was able to do the repair. He also installed the two bathroom faucets at about 1/3 the price the original plumber estimated. My takeaway here is that it depends on which plumber you get whether I would recommend them or not.

fine. it took some troubleshooting for the serviceman to identify the exact issue of the toilet. Thought it was one thing, replaced a part...didn't fix the issue. moved on to another, and so on. probably thought it was 3-4 different things before problem was solved. totally understand troubleshooting, but don't know that i needed a play by play of everything he thought it was before actually identifying the real issue. I think i would have expected a little more professionalism --but I'm the kind of person that wants people in, do the job and go. i don't need a lot of small talk. He did work with us to try to find the best price, so that was a plus. Overall, my problems got fixed and everything is working.

Called at 7:30 AM due to partial sewer line blockage. Still had use of kitchen facility. The rep showed up when scheduled and was very polite and professional the entire time. He had the line cleaned in a short amount of time even with the ice storm starting.

I called the morning of and they said someone would be out between 11 and 3 and they would call me 45 minutes to an hour before. At 10 o'clock I received a phone call that he was on his way and actually showed up about ten til 11. Mike was AMAZING. he took one look at it and knew what needed to happen. he checked and double checked everything and explained everything that happened and why. He worked up and estimate and then went to get parts after I signed. Once he returned he went straight to work. It took him a few hours but he finished and did awesome. I will for sure use them in the future and would happily recommend them to my friends. Mike was very thorough and professional and I could not be more happy with the results.

I had pulled the bathtub but before I put in the new tub I determined the drain and overflow needed to be replaced. I purchased a new brass drain set and called Ernie's to put it in for me. Their man cam out and gave me a quote for $395 minus the $25 Angie's List coupon. I thought that was a bit high for about an hours labor but decided to go ahead with the installation. I also ask him to quote for sliding the new tub into place and completing the connection. I thought the additional $500 was exorbitant so I chose to do that myself. He then told me he had to go for parts and returned after an hour to begin work. I noticed that he had brought a plastic drain set with him and again reminded him that I wanted him to use the brass fittings I had already purchased. He refused stating that if they did not supply the parts it would void their warranty. I should have fired him on the spot since it was obvious he had intended all along to ignore me and use the cheaper plastic parts but I was in a time crunch and need the work done. Hopefully the plastic parts will last for several years. I will not be calling this company again for any reason.

This job took several days. The plumber showed up every time exactly when he said he would. He promptly located the issue and did the job on time and very professionally. The bill was exactly what he initially estimated. I would definitely use them again. The plumber was knowledgeable and friendly. Great communication. None of this "we'll be there between 8-5" stuff!

Service guy, was rude from the moment we had contact. I was called at 4:22 pm and said they were ready, how long would it take? I said, "40-45 minutes." I arrived home in 35 minutes, yet the sitter I had called me at 30 minutes asking where I was. Not sure if this was a factor of his rudeness or if he thought he could act this way with me being a woman. I asked the service man to check a secondary issue I had. When trying to ask questions, he would cut me off and I never really had a chance to ask what I needed to. I was finally frustrated with his attitude, and said "yes, I understand. Thank you." He left. Not sure of the mans name, but you need to check into this. I get everyone has a bad day, but this was uncalled for. Laura

Called that morning asking about getting the faucet fixed since the weather was getting bad. They set up a time between 11 & 3 however I had barely hung up the phone and they called back and said they had someone in my area and would be there in 30 minutes. Paul gave me a quote and also warned me worse case scenario. Luckily it was an easy fix with no issues. He also took the time to show me where the main water line was and how to turn it off in case I needed to know for future reference. I appreciated that. Would not hesitate to use Ernie's in the future!

I looked in phone book and then checked on Angie's list. I saw several estimates of others complaints of the charge for services to be honest by what the reviews said thought would be high charge. They estimated time in a 4 hour window to come out. I was called that the serviceman was on his way in the first hour of the estimated time. Jon was here about 20 minutes later. He was considerate in keeping my house clean and very professional in his work. The charge was about 1/2 of what I expected, only basing that expectation on the reporting of others. I am so happy I used Ernie's Plumbing and will use them next time need a plumber.

I called them first thing in the morning and they were at my home in an hour. Mike did an excellent job diagnosing the problem and explaining to me everything that needed to be done. He took care of confirming the warranty information, removing the old unit, driving to Fergusons to buy the replacement unit and installing and testing it. All in one morning! I would highly recommend their services. They are friendly, patient, informative and on time! We had hot water again!!

The entire experience was fantastic. Chris was sent to my house within 4 hours of calling them (on a Friday at noon). He not only helped me by replacing the faucet, but he helped me set up a hose and reel, and tightened my master toilet. He helped me wrap the bottom of the pipe with insulation to safeguard against freezing. He could not have been more helpful. He stated that they offer their services day and night, and every weekend. Their number went right into my cell phone. I will definitely call them again with any plumbing needs I might have!!

The company called me 30 minutes before arriving. The plumber showed up on time and completed the work within an hour. I received a $25 discount as an Angie's list subscriber. Couldn't have been easier.

Everything went great from beginning to end. Making the appointment was quick and easy. The lady on the phone was very nice. My service window was 2:00 - 6:00 p.m., and the dispatcher was set to call me on my cell phone 45 minutes prior to the plumber's arrival. The dispatcher called me at 12:55 p.m. and said they had someone in the area that could be at my house in less than 30 minutes, which was great. Shawn arrived and was awesome! He verbally quoted me $320.00 for both jobs I had requested. He cut a 16" x 18" square hole in the sheet rock in the office closet and quickly determined that the leak was not from behind the shower head (as I had suspected) but from the tub drain. He told me that replacing the sheet rock would be my responsibility. I already knew that, but I thought it was great that he was honest to tell me that up front. He pulled out the drain cover, showed me that there wasn't any putty sealer on it and explained that the water was leaking outside the drain pipe underneath the tub. He went to Home Depot, bought a new drain cover, and attempted to install it. It was supposed to be a "universal" type that fits all tub drains, but - of course - it wouldn't go all the way into mine. In fact, the crossbars in the new drain cover broke while Shawn was earnestly trying to screw it in. Also, he was unable to remove the existing gasket underneath the tub. Something about the wood box having been cemented in the wall (???). So, he sawed out the new drain cover, added putty to my existing drain cover, and put it back in. That did the trick...thank goodness, because he told me that if the leak persisted he would have to jackhammer into the floor under the tub (expensive!)...and he wanted to spare me that if possible. I told him I wouldn't pay for the new drain cover since it didn't work. He agreed and said he wouldn't charge me for the tub work at all. So we were down to around $260.00. Then he went to work on the bathroom sink. Now, let me tell you, my house was built in 1972. I have lived in it since August 2002, and that sink has always drained SUPER slowly...and in recent years, not at all. It was embarrassing to me that guests could use the toilet, but they had to wash their hands in the kitchen sink. I literally told Shawn that I would kiss his feet if he could get the sink to drain. He noticed right away that the p-trap underneath had been installed backwards. Can you believe it??? This was done in October 2008 by Lowe's when they installed a new sink/vanity top and faucet and said I needed a new p-trap. I had no idea it was on backwards. Shawn put the cable in the drain pipe in the wall, and we heard a few noises but nothing major. He reinstalled the p-trap correctly and...voila! The sink drained PERFECTLY. I couldn't believe it! We even plugged the stopper, filled the sink with water, popped open the stopper, and watched it drain perfectly and quickly. I was ecstatic!!! Shawn said he wouldn't hold me to my offer to kiss his feet. :-) He started cleaning up, and I said that I will have him back again because I'm certain I will need a new kitchen garbage disposal soon. It does absolutely nothing when you flip the switch and has been like this for about six months. He offered to take a look at it free of charge. I knew he had another job after mine and asked him if he was sure it wouldn't make him late. He assured me it would not, so I let him look at it. I told him that when I run the dishwasher, soap and water back up into the sink on the disposal side...and that when I'm rinsing dishes in the sink or cleaning the sink it doesn't take long for the disposal side to start filling up. He tried to unscrew something on the bottom of the disposal and told me it was shot. He said he had a new one in his truck if I wanted him to install it. I asked the price, and he said about $475.00. I told him to go for it. He had it installed in 20 minutes. The old disposal was completely filled with gunk (I didn't even want to know what it was). It was a 1/3 size, and the new one that Shawn installed was 1/2 size...so it's bigger and he said it would perform better for me than if I'd gotten another 1/3 size put in. The new disposal worked great and was nice and quiet. The whole service call took just under 3 1/2 hours. He cleaned up after himself. I had an Angie's List coupon for $25.00 off, but Shawn said his company could give me 10% off the entire bill which I thought was very nice of him. I saved $75.00 instead. The final estimated charges were $750.00...less 10%...for a total of $675.00, which I gladly paid. I told Shawn that he restored my faith in service people...companies are always trying to rip off women, at least that has been my experience...but I will definitely use Ernie's again (and will recommend them, too), and I will specifically request Shawn. The office even called me within 30 minutes after Shawn left and asked me how everything went. I cannot tell you how happy and grateful I am. Thank you so very much!!!

Excellent! Donald Cleveland should be commended and given a raise! He found the problem that the AHS so called plumber could not find and told us our plan did not cover, a kitchen sink sprinkler hose . Outrageous! I am dropping American Home Shield! L Puckett

Fred the service technician was right on time and very courteous and professional. He immediately went to work on the problem and had identified the issue very quickly. Fixed the leak from the shower and the shower drainage pipe. Excellent work and very reasonable for the price.

They were fabulous. My plumber was punctual, extremely courteous, thorough and the best part -- HE CLEANED UP AFTER HIMSELF. He provided me with invaluable knowledge about my drain plugs, the location of my sewage cleanout, and information regarding the age, and shape of my pipelines. He also gave me information about how my pipe compares to newer homes. Since my house is over 40 years old, he provided me with an idea of possible problems that could arise and estimates for those services, while also assuring me there are no current major issues with my house. When he left, I had knowledge, peace of mind -- and showers, sinks, and toilets that were running like new. The price for plumbing is never cheap. That being said, I've used other, very reputable, plumbers in my area. I would say Ernie's is equally reputable, equally knowledgeable, and more cost effective. Scheduling an appointment was easy, they called to confirm I was home before they sent the plumber out (probably because I am a considerable distance from the heart of the metroplex), and they called about an hour after their technician left to confirm that my experience was as expected. I would absolutely use them again.

emp # 315 Damien did an excellent job. He was thorough in isolating the leak. He kept me appraised of all he was doing and finding. His explanations were clear and understandable. The cost was probably on the higher end of average. Damien did try to keep all costs as low as possible. Being a single woman, it is hard to find someone that does not try to manipulate me into buying more or paying more than I need. Trust and honesty are very important to me, and I trust Ernie's. This is the 2nd time they have done work for me. As far as I am concerned, I will continue to use them.

I got an appointment the same day I called. I was told he would be here between 11-3 and was given a call 30 minutes prior to his arrival to make sure I was ready. My toilet was doing a mini auto-flushing every few minutes. He replaced my flapper and used dye to check if that was the problem. It was not, my problem was a bit more complicated. He figured it out and wrote me an estimate. I agreed and he completed the work. Archie was the plumber. He could not have been nicer or more efficient. I wish everyone ran their business like this! I will definitely use Ernie's Plumbing from now on.
