He was courteous and extremely efficient. Did a great job and kept my home in order and clean. He left no mess behind. I know I could have used someone else and probably paid a little less but the bottom line is that they were available, punctual, efficient, and did a great job.

They are very experienced, knowledgeable and professional. They do a quality job. Their price was kind of high for the outdoor work. It was an all day job and it had to be over $2,000.

I refused the bid. I contacted another plumber and they replaced the faucet, without removing anything, for $89.00. Ernies did repond to my call quickly, set the appointment and did the estimate for free. The contractor was on time. The contractor had a very huge odor of cigarette smoke which I find unprofessional.

After trying to snake the sewer line ourselves with no luck, we called Ernie's on Saturday and got an appointment for Monday from noon to 4. They called 30 minutes before arriving to let us know they were on the way. They arrived at 3:40 pm (within the 30 minutes). The gentleman who arrived did not have the right equipment to clear the line, so Donald was called out. He arrived within 30 minutes and had the line cleared in no time! Donald was very professional, friendly, and took the time to explain how our lines are laid out under the house (i.e., where the main lines are connected to the branches, etc.). I have always been curious about that, so it was nice to get enlightened! By the way, the culprit was a baby wipe!

I thought at the time that they did a good job, however, I found out later that the job was done incorrectly. (1) When the water heater was replace, he didn't hook up the drain hose to the overflow pan. We had a storm and there was no flashing place on the exhaust on the roof, so it dripped down the heater into the pan and out the hole where the drain hose was supposed to be connected and all over my ceiling. That was an expensive repair. (2) The toilet was installed incorrectly and there was always a stench coming from that bathroom. Now there is water coming out the base. So, now I am on Angie's List looking for another plumber to fix the job that they did.

It took him less than on hour to install faucet. I thought that it was a little pricey. However he was very courteous, efficient, and cleaned up his mess.

When I spoke to Ernie on the phone and described the work that needed to be done, he told me that he really felt as if the job was a bit larger than he would feel comfortable handling. While he did not do any work for me, I did very much appreciate his upfront honesty.

I called Ernie's Plumbing Service on Sunday, December 22, 2013 after hours and left a phone message. They returned my call within about 1 hour and scheduled an appointment for the following day. The personnel quickly identified the leaking faucet (at no charge) and provided options for replacing the kitchen faucet. I purchased a faucet that evening and he arrived promptly the following morning to repair the faucet. The new faucet looks and performs amazing (with no leaks). The service was quick and seamless.

They opened a clog in the toilet, and did not cause any damage.

Joey Polk was the plumber sent from Ernie's. Most professional, knowledgeable and courteous service tech I have ever met. First he talked to us about the problem, then did an initial inspection. Told us what he found, the cost to repair, as well as possible unforeseen complications that may occur. Kept us informed as he worked, was very quick and efficient. Did an excellent job and you couldn't tell he had been here as far as making any mess. Ernie's Plumbing is now OUR plumber. We highly recommend them to everyone.

I like Ernie's plumbing, I really do... that's what makes this so disappointing. Ernie's staff has always been fair, hard working, honest, and of top quality in the past, but this time it was different. At the end of November I had them out to provide an estimate on some work. I removed a pony wall between my shower and tub, and am installing a free-standing tub and a full glass surround on the shower. With the supply line being in that pony wall, I needed to have it jack hammered out and moved to the wall of the bathroom. With the change in tub, I needed a new location for the tub drain. The estimate was in the ballpark I expected and I scheduled some days off this week to have them come out and get it done. I placed a call to them last week to schedule the appointment and the wheels were seemingly in motion. The plumber arrives this morning and asks to go over the plan again. After discussing the work he tells me that his boss had just told him about the job this morning. Because of this, it would cost more, as he would need to get another plumber and the concrete people they use are booked solid for two months. I tell him that he needs to take that up with his boss, since I scheduled an appointment and expected to pay what I was quoted. He goes out to his van, makes some calls, and comes back twenty minutes later. He tells me that, while he's an experienced plumber, he was relatively new to Ernie's. His boss has informed him that they consider this work to be remodel work, which they don't do. So, while he feels bad, there's nothing he can do to help me today. As I told him, I don't blame him, I blame the company as a whole. Somewhere along the line they should have told him they don't do remodel work. Somewhere along the line they should have reviewed the estimate and noticed it was remodel work. Someone should have notified the individual plumber about the job that specifically requested him prior to the day of the appointment. I'm severely disappointed in Ernie's plumbing and will be shopping around for a new plumbing company for all future repairs.

Our downstairs toilet flange was cracked, and our general contractor could not mount a new toilet to it. We called Ernie's plumbing to replace the flange and install the toilet. They were able to schedule us very quickly. The plumber was exceptionally good and the work he did was top notch. The job got extremely expensive due to being labor intensive. But the new flange is much higher quality and i expect to never have to worry about this job again as long as i own the home.

The service went great. The service person did a great job, he had to come out a couple of times. He was great in accommodating our schedule.

Replaced faucet and one week later had same problem. The cause was a kinked line that was not discovered during initial repair. Also, repaired leaking shower drain and toilet drain. Told that drain had lead pipe and that it could not repaired and would need to be replaced. After Ernie's removed the drains there was no evidence of lead piping. I believe that I paid for unnecessary work.

They arrived on time, went to work immediately, cleared the drain and were gone.

My tub spout was runnning and I was unable to turn the water off completely. His quote for $356 I thought was on the high end. He explained that it all needed to be taken apart and the stems and washers needed to be replaced. I also needed my leaky water heater in the attice evaluated. He recommended a replacement but it would require 2 guys to come replace it since it was in the attic. The price for this was $2695. I called a few other places on Angie's list and found a reputable plumbing company that would send 3 guys over today and replace the 50 gallon Rheem gas water heater for a total of $950 and fix the tub spout for about $100. What a difference in price! I also needed an estimate on 2 bathrooms with leaking showers that are leaking into the walls. He said it was hard to give an estimate without going into the wall to see what the problem is. He did provide his best estimate.

It went fine. He was a very professional person.

The plumber was very knowledgeable. The only complaint was that I had to wait most of the day because they got ties up on an earlier job but they gave me a break, costwise and did an outstanding job explaininig thinngs to me.

Replaced kitchen faucet, removed disposal, installed pump dispenser.

Replaced hot water heater. |Went well.

The Plumber showed up within the time frame the service had indicated that he would be there. After we explained our situation, he got right to work and finished the job in short order.

After sending the plumber on his way, we called Denton Municipal Utilities, they came out and shut off our water for FREE, my husband fixed the two toilets in under an hour, the City then came back out and turned our water back on ALL for FREE! I am sorely disappointed by Ernie's prices. What if this had been my Grandmother, who was unable to do the repairs herself?? Disgusted, Tonya Schilling.

The faucet had been leaking for several weeks, and I had procrastinated getting it fixed for quite a while. Then when the frost hit, I decided to wait until it thawed, and decided to let the water drip, ensuring that a hose led the dripping water away from the foundation, instead of tightening the faucet, lest it freeze. I finally decided to call the plumbing company, and I called on 23rd december, 2 days before Christmas ! I didnt expect an appointment at least until the next week, but they scheduled one on the 24th - the very next day !! that was great ! They gave me a 4 hour window, and on schedule, they called me just 30 mins into the window and said the plumber was on his way. Dustin was very polite, letting me explain the problem, then explained what the potential issues might be, and what the cost for each would be. He not only identified the issue very quickly, but also showed me the problem part, taking time to explain the how and what about the part was broken. The fix was very quick, but then he went above and beyond to answer some questions I had about where and how to shut off the main water supply myself, in case of an emergency. I will definitely call upon Ernie's plumbing once again, if I need plumbing services.

The first appointment was rescheduled due to bad weather. The second appointment was made for 4 days later. They failed to show up. They didn't even call. I had to call to verify that they were not coming out. The third appointment was made for 7 days later. Again, they failed to show up. I even called midway through the appointment time window and was told they would be there. This time they called half an hour before the end of the window to say they were not coming out. After going to a manager, they offered to have someone come out late but just to estimate only -- not to complete work. I declined since I would have to wait another day anyway then to get the work done. After that, I made an appointment with a different plumber.

Found these guys through Angie's list, and found their reviews to be favorable, and pricing to be reasonable overall. When you get plumbing assistance, you definitely want to get a good company on the job, and that's what I think I got today from Ernie's Plumbing. Neal was a little late due to a prior call taking more time than had originally been anticipated, so that's the reason I gave a B on Punctuality- but the office staff kept me updated, and had let me know a full hour before the end of my time slot that he was going to be here about 2.5 hours after that call, give or take... and he was. My situation was a little tricky, I have a 150' sewer line from the house to the city main, and prior to calling I had already isolated that the obstruction was in the back 75', because there was a damaged cleanout that even the previous owner didn't know about. Neal tried to get his machine through, but it just wouldn't go. There's likely a worse problem going on here than I want to deal with right now, so he came up with a crafty way to get through it without his machine. All in all he was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and effective. Happy I chose Ernie's today, and will probably in the future when I'm ready to deal with the bigger problem at hand... but for now, I'm just thankful to have functional indoor plumbing again!
