**Update** I received a call from Ernie's Plumbing on the Monday after service regarding the price. They were very courteous and as concerned about the price of the drain clean out as I was! After speaking with them, they sent me a check for the difference of what I paid at the time and what I should have paid. Not many Plumbing services I have ran across in the past would have done that, so My initial review has been upgraded based on the company's willingness to resolve the error. This should have been updated by me earlier, but health issues precluded that. I would like to thank Ernie's Plumbing for the way they take care of their customers! Had to wait a day -1/2 with no toilets. Technician arrived and quoted $230 per hour. $260 if he had to go onto the roof and $230 per hr each hour after and $1250 to add a dual drainage access/trap. He was courteous. However, I found this to be an unusually high price. I was able to get it to $185 after showing a $35 off + an additional 10 dollars for uploading them into my smartphone. I've had other plumbing services clean main lines for less. I chose N/A for quality as my toilets flush now but for how long remains to be seen as they did find some grass in the pipe at some point. But, it was only a few pieces of grass. We'll see how it goes.

Went very well and I am glad I went ahead and used a plumber for the job. I purchased a reverse osmosis and carbon filtration system for our kitchen to replace an out dated one, and there were some kinks with different sized faucet fixtures, and drilling a cast iron sink and stuff like that. I had been considering doing it myself, and I am very glad I did not!!! It took a pro 3 hours -- it would have near finished me off. As it turns out, I was VERY HAPPY to shell out $150 seeing what he had to do. A bargain considering he had to go to Home Depot to buy drill bits for cast iron in the middle. It would have been a real nightmare for me. The tech's name was Bryan and he was honest, on time, and fair. I would call on him in the future. Thanks alot for the help.

I was not impressed. Hired another plumber.

He is a nice man and had no problem with crawing under my house.

It wasn't a really good experience. The plumber was only at the house for half of a day, but he charged nearly $800. He also left a mess behind him which I didn't appreciate. Ultimately, I wouldn't use the company again.

When I called to schedule appointment I told them I needed to have them check out the plumbing and food disposal in our rental house. They called to let me know they were on the way and I asked when they would need my credit card # and was put on hold in the meantime I sent a text to our tenant letting her know they were on their way. Finally someone came on line and said they needed a form filled out before they could send the plumber out. I asked them to e-mail the form to me and I would fax it back ASAP so please send the plumber out, at that time they did not say we were put on hold. Out tenant called me an hour later and said they still had not arrived so I called Ernie's again to see why they had not sent them out and they gave me a song and dance and finally told me they sent him to another call because I hadn't told them about not being at the rental house, Long story short the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. I requested a bill be sent to me FIVE (5) times and they finally got the information correct. I will definitely not be calling them back. In response to your lame excuse, they asked will someone be there for payment and I asked if they could take my credit card and they said yes, I did mention it was a rental because I had to make sure my renters would be there or I would have made the trip to Cedar Hill..

The workers were professional. They worked quickly and efficiently. I was well pleased with their work.

He was on time, repaired the faucet, and gave us advice on how to prevent the situation in the future! I will definitely use them for my future plumbing needs!

No wonder this company has so many favorable reviews; they were GREAT!. Archie inspected both outside valves, he gave his recommendation in writing. Even tho he was not a fan of the type of vavle used on one of the valves, it passed the inspection. He explained in detailed why one was better then the other and wrote it out on the invocie for us. The valves were not leaking therefore we were not charged. I will use them again. He was very professional, nice and explained everything in great detail.

Secured appointment slot for 02/22/2014 from 12-4 PM. At 3:30 PM I called to try to get an estimate as to when they may arrive. The representative contacted the "dispatcher." I was told that the plumber was "tied up" at a job and that it would be "later than 4:30. Probably in the evening." I told the rep that we planned our day around this appointment and that we had plans for the evening and need to know an estimated time of arrival. She offered Monday morning appointment which we cannot do. I told her it is unfortunate and frustrating that NO ONE called to to inform us of this and give us these options. She repeated herself saying "I spoke with the dispatcher and she said the the plumber is tied up and it will be after 4:30 in the evening." I told her that does not have anything to do with what I just said to her. She AGAIN repeated the same "I spoke with my dispatcher etc..." Never was there an apology for the inconvenience (which sadly seems typical). I told her to cancel. We will seek another company.

The plumbers are very kind, professional, and did a great job. The office confirm appointments & then follows up immediately after the work is completed to see how it went.

Excellent service & I will use them if ever needed again.

The plumber was asking me questions that I expected him to give me the answers to. He put the part on but u was loose but he could not tell me why. I spoke to the manager and he was going to send out another plumber which never showed up. Incidentally on the first visit, the plumber put on his booties on to protect my carpet when out of truck and then walked to my house

Ernie's plumbing sent a plumber to replace my kitchen sink. I have a relatively new house and this was an "all in one" sink. The plumber asked me if I wanted to have my garbage disposal installed. He discouraged me from installing my garbage disposal because it would act as a "grease trap". First of all, I don't eat grease. Yes, of course I want a garbage disposal. Next he told me that he could not do the work that day because it was too late. Then he gave me an estimate for a whopping $590. Give me a break! Google says that the cost should be less than $300. I called the general manager the next morning. He agreed to do the same work for $350. He said that he would talk with the plumber. In the past I have had good experiences with Ernie's Plumbing. Today I am seeking a new plumber.

They were punctual and dependable. He had to dig up some of my yard and when he finished you could hardly see where he had been.

The receptionist was very nice, but I get annoyed if a service is late more than once. Doubt I will ever schedule an appt. with them again.

Ernie's is very well reviewed on Angie's List, so we gave them a call when a low-cost local plumber became nonresponsive. Bryan came out on time and went over the details with us. He seemed very knowledgeable and professional, and he wrote up his estimate in the truck out front after inspecting everything. It was clear that he had a lot of experience, and I was optimistic about hiring this company. However, the quote was nearly double our lowest bid, even with me purchasing the water heater on my own. I am willing to pay more for quality work, but there's a point at which the additional cost exceeds the benefits. I explained this to Bryan, and?much to his credit?he immediately recommended a couple of other companies for me to speak with. This showed good salesmanship but also good will, and it was appreciated.

So very grateful that they were able to get someone to my house within the hour! A clogged kitchen sink and leaking (gushing at one point!) washing machine had me kind of freaking out! They not only came quickly, but also fixed the problems quickly as well.

Looking for a good plumber these are the people. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

They came the same day I called. It is a 1950's house and my mother-in-law came to town and all the potato peelings in the garbage disposal didn't work out. The experience was okay. It was a coupon from Angie's List. The way that they billed it was nebulous and it was all at the discretion of the person that came out. . I don't think I really got any savings. I was baited into using them because of the coupon and I think I could have gotten that price with anybody. It was fine. They did follow up and call. I would probably try to find somebody else next time.

He arrived on time and requested to see the problem. He was shown and he investigated the break in the pipe as it might be covered under insurance. He got down on the cold ground and fixed the pipe. He was professional, courteous and willing to go over the why of why the pipe burst.

Long time ago - have their card on my refrigerator. I think they are fine.

I thought they were a little over priced for the service performed

The best part first--Don came out and asked me what was going on, how it evolved, and then proceeded to fix my problem. He even ran a camera down the drain to make sure the issue was fixed. It was. The process did not take long. However, getting to that point did! Now the bad part--I called in for service between 11am and 12 pm. The lady taking the call had me repeat my address (which I spelled out) 4 times during the call. Little did I know she still didn't have it correct. However, I thought things were good as I was called near the start of the time frame given. I missed the call for reasons beyond my control and when I called back I was told they couldn't find me because they didn't have the right street down. Then while talking to the person, I realized she didn't even have the right house number! I had to give close intersections, etc to help the person find me. I've done that before, but was a bit surprised by it because of how she went about it. Nonetheless, I received a called fairly shortly (about 10 minutes later) and told someone was on the way. That was 1 hour and 50 minutes before Don came to the door! I called them at 1 hour and 20 minutes. Yes, I am a patient person--too patient in this instance. No one realized I hadn't had a plumber come by yet. I was told 10 minutes tops--it was 30 minutes more. I was picking the phone up to cancel the appointment when he walked up. Don arrived at 4:35pm. To be fair, I was told by Don and Randy, the manager the survey person asked me to speak to, that the company has installed a new phone/GPS system and evidently it isn't working at all the way they expected. They are finding loopholes they didn't expect--my case was one of those. I did NOT ask for any type of an adjustment, nor was one offered. I did use my Angie's List coupon. To be honest, I don't know if I will use their service again. Don was good and after learning what had happened he understood why I was a bit frosty when he arrived. He also told me to let the company know what happened as it was not how they normally operate and I have.
