He had to drive out to get the part for the shower and put in and he didn't put it right and my shower only worked half way and when he came back and put it in properly it has full travel.

We will use them again. He worked well with the city inspector without me getting in the middle of it. The city inspector came after and reinspected it. They do what they say they were going to do. The price did not change. They’re a little expensive but they were running with everyone else.

*** UPDATE **** 11/12/14 I walked through both bathrooms with the plumber and explained what I needed done.. this was the same thing I said I needed done when I called to schedule the appointment. I left both flush kits beside the toilets. He said he would not need to replace the the one in the smaller bathroom but would replace the one in the larger bathroom. NOOO paperwork was completed until AFTER it was done.. there was NO written quote before the work was done. And that is not my signature. Our renovation man was there and gave the plumber the money and signed the form after I had gone (I had to take my elderly pet to the vet for an unexpected ER visit.) The plumber knew I needed to leave and did not say I needed to sign anything. The plumber said he would do something and didn't. He told me in my VERBAL quote how much it would be and I said ok to $200 for again, wax seal on one toilet ALONG with its flusing parts, remove hair from bottom of sink stopper and adjust flushing parts in smaller bathroom. Since I was there and Ernie was not, I CAN and HAVE said what I was told and what work was to be done for the $200 (less a 10% discount for a returning customer.) What he did was NOT what I was quoted nor was it worth what I was charged. This type of behavior is what gives the repair industry a bad name..... Shame on Ernies Plumbing. (A shame as had a good exerience the first time thus why called them a second time.)... and I answer my phone..... still no call and I called twice. Will never call them again and will NOT recommend them to anyone who asks if I know of a good plumber. ( I even left a $20 tip for the plumber assuming he would do a good job.) Jose fixed the sink which consisted of removing the sink stopper, removing the hair and debris at the bottom of the sink stopper and replacing it. He adjusted the flusing mechanism on one of the toilets. I believe he replaced the wax seal as it has not leaked any more. He did not replace the flushing mechanism as quoted in the second toilet. If there was nothing wrong with the mechanism and it did not need to be replaced that is fine but the bill should have been reduced and it was not. I have called to speak to a manager twice since then. I was told both times that the manager would call me back yet I have failed to receive a call and it has been over a week. I find this behavior very deceitfull and unprofessional. I either paid for a service that I did not receive or if it was determined that a certain service was not needed then the bill should have been reduced.... and to continually fail to return a call..... Had I paid with a credit card I would have contacted the company and had the payment stopped...............

I was so impressed with Mike, the young man Ernie's Plumbing sent me. Very courteous, polite and struck me as very honest. Did the work with no goofing off. He also showed me "before" and "after" at the leak site. Great job. I would definitely have Mike do more jobs as needed.

The plumber found some things wrong with the original installation and corrected them. And, he cleared out some clogs. When he left, the shower had much improved water flow. We were completely satisfied with the work. We would call Ernie's Plumbing again.

While Terry proceeded with removal of the old water heater, we purchased a new 50-gallon Rheem with 12-year warranty. Terry found at some point a water main break allowed a great deal of sandy sediment into the water heater. Installation of the new water heater was completed with the heater elevated. He recommended the tank be drained a small amount monthly to assure proper functioning. The insulating wrap around the old heater was in good condition and worked OK on the new one. Terry left the area in the best shape he could. We appreciated his advice and great work.

called service for a gas line leak. they send plumber right away. they are extremely pricy. we asked 2 more companies for the estimate, they are both much lower than Ernie's. We paid $1000 for the triage. and we hired someone else to do the actual repair We will never use this company again.

I submitted a review to let them know that it was leaking and they contacted me immediately. I am very pleased how they handled it. They came out and tried to detect the leak. He didn't find the leak and he let me know it wasn't a leak causing the problem. He was able to do some work around the piping and now it's working fine. I would definitely use them again.

The service was great, he was awesome.

He completed pop-up repair for master lavatory and replaced stem on another bath's sink. Third bathroom off mud room had an old commode which required total replacement with new American Standard. Travis dealt appropriately with unexpected rusted out flange replacement and also replaced shutoff valve. In the kitchen, Travis removed the plug which caused drainage problem on garbage disposal/dishwasher connection. We are pleased with the work and appreciated Travis's professional attitude and performance. Everything was clean and in good order when he left.

They were pretty expensive. It took less than 10 minutes. They sent out a $35 discount card.

The tech was very courteous and clean. He put on booties and was very friendly and informative. Explained a lot of things regarding the way the toilet was replaced incorrectly by a tile company that laid tile in the bathroom. Very helpful!

The guy who came was phenomenal and he is really a genius in what he does. I don?t remember the cost but it was less expensive than another bid that I got and it was less expensive by a lot. The inspectors came out and they said it was perfect. I will rate them as superior.

I had asked for a estimate to replace the old faucet. The plumber was on time, went over the cost and I asked if he could start the job then!!! He did -- replacing the old shut off water lines and the faucet in a very timely manner. I will definitely use Ernie's again for any future plumbing needs!!!!

They gave me a good price and stuck to it. They are punctual and very responsive. I?ve not had any problem with them.

It was a free estimate so that was a positive. I felt it was way too much. I wanted him to install a valve that took the plumber I used about 15 minutes to install.

First and foremost I had an excellent experience and feel like I now have a personal plumber. Moving is very stressful and when I called Ernie's Plumbing they were very friendly in scheduling an appointment and the plumber came out promptly. Terry Brown introduced himself and was very professional. When I couldn't explain what the inspector told us he agreed to speak to my brother in law over the phone with a great attitude to clear up any confusion of the problem. As he was doing the work, Terry communicated well and explained other cost saving options I had and what other improvements he found that I may be interested in. Even though the cost started adding up, I never felt pressured just reassured that if I decided to move forward he would be providing me quality work.

Terry Brown strikes again! He was prompt and professional. He clearly explained what work needed to be done along with the estimated time frames for the inspection, etc. It was alot of money but again there were no surprises and we were happy with the results. He cleaned up as he worked (cutting up the sheet rock, going up into the attic to install the gas line and of course as he was coming in and out of the house) and explained the risk of damages that could be incurred with cutting a hole in our wall that we would need to be aware of. Things went smoothly and once he completed the install we were able to test out the dryer while he was there to ensure all was working properly. We are very satisfied with the installation and we felt that Terry always had our interest in mind. He definitely reconfirmed that we made the right choice by calling Ernie's Plumbing and of course requesting Terry to do the job.

I've use Ernie's a few time before at my parent house and was very happy with the service. That's why decide to use them when my house need works. I called on 9/2/2014 at 1:30 pm and request for service. They said that they can be out the same day between 12 and 3. I told them that is already 1:30 are they able to make it to my place by 3. They told me that they can. I was skeptical about this. But I receive a call shortly that they plumber was on this way. He arrive on time. I was really impress with this. He was wearing shoes cover when he arrive. I show him all the things that I need to fix so that he can provide an estimate. That's when I notice that he never took off the shoes covering when we went outside. I continue to observe this when he was going around doing the work inside and outside the house. He kind of drag his feet when he walk and never took off the shoe cover when going outside. So the shoes cover serve no purpose at all. For me the price was kind of high for the amount of work. However, i'm fine with it if I get quality work. He removed an old shower head which was around $100, which was just unscrewing it. Kind of high for that work. He fix a leaky outside faucet by tighten it really tight, now it's king of hard to turn on the water. He install a vacuum breaker to outside faucet with out any issue. He fix the hard to flush toilet handle by replacing the handle and replacing the seal. Flushing it was a lot easier now. However after he left I start to notice that night that the toilet continue to run and the flush is not strong like before at all. It barely go down, it take a few flush to get everything down and it keep running. I called for them to come back out. I schedule between 8 and 11. I got a call around 7:45 that the plumber was on his way. By 9:30 I haven't heard or seen them so I call to check up. They then told me that the plumber had car trouble and would be at my place in 30 mintues. He didn't arrive at my place till after the appointment windows. No call from him nor the office to let me know what's going on at all. If I didn't impress me with their punctuality before, I would give them horrible mark on this. When he came I explain what's going on with the toilet now. He then told me that he didn't do anything that would affect the power of the toilet flush. He will try to put on a different seal to fix the leaking problem. I was thinking great I just traded a hard to flush handle to weak flush toilet. He then tell me that he don't know what seal to use for my toilet, there was a few look like it my work for my toilet and he'll try a different one to see if it work. Wow, shouldn't he know this information? Isn't that why i'm paying a high price for a professional? With the different seal, the flush power was back to normal and no leak. So I guess he did do something to make the flush weaker. By putting on the wrong seal. But I guess I can't put that on him because he didn't know! Which is crazy! He also don't have a very friendly/help full attitude. It's more like a whatever or I don't care attitude. Over all I was disappointed by this experience. I may try Ernie again in the future but definitely request a different plumber. The only reason i'll do this again is because of the work by a different plumber from Ernie at my parent house. So in the end I guess it'll be the luck of the draw by who Ernie send out if you'll have a good experience or not. Update 10/15/2014 I received a phone call from the General Manager on 10/2/2014 and he offer me a full refund. This was very unsuspected and wasn't my intention for my review. However, I'm very glad that Ernie take very serious about customer service and quality of work. I will definitely be calling Ernie's Plumbing Service in the future for my plumbing needs.

They were great and I was impressed.

I was so bumpuzzled by the provider. He was a young man and he acted like he didn't know what he was doing. He fumbled and bumbled around. He said he had to use his camera and that it would cost $200. I'm the fool that said to go ahead and use it. He said he found a spot and would have to crack the slab to repair it. I told him that he wasn't cracking my slab. He kept fooling around and said he found another spot and he had to crack the slab. I told him again that he wasn't cracking the slab. He fumbled around a while longer and then said that everything was finished. He did fix the clog. I didn't know if he was a con man or just stupid on the other stuff. I've had dealings with them before and they have been very reliable but this guy was crazy. The price was at least twice as much as they should have charged. I would absolutely not use them again.

This was my fourth estimate for the same work (bust the concrete to install the drains and stub the plumbing out from the walls). I wanted to get several estimates before I could budget the work. Let me first say that I had this plumber scheduled to arrive on a Monday but he never showed. Then I received a call on Tuesday that the plumber was on his way. While we discussed both days when I scheduled the estimate, I was going off of the note I had written "Monday between 1-5 pm". I won't say that it was the scheduler's fault as I could have written it wrong but the plumber didn't come on Monday as I had scheduled. The first thing the plumber told me when he arrived was that he didn't like to do remodels . . . he said it's not that he couldn't do it but that he didn't like to do them. The other two plumbing estimates were between $1,200 and $3,600. A general contractor provided an estimate of $7,800 to do all of the work including building the bathroom walls, installing the fixtures and some electrical work. The estimate from Ernie's Plumbing was $12,215 for just the plumbing work!! That's nearly $9,000 over the highest bid I had received! I chose Ernie's Plumbing because of the high ratings but after talking to this plumber I learned that there are several "Ernie's Plumbing" locations in Texas. This is not a small business as the name may imply and there was no "Ernie" that showed up to give the estimate. Needless to say, I will NOT be going with Ernie's Plumbing to do the work and I would not recommend them to anyone, EVER!

He gave a high estimate. He said that he would need to crawl under the house and that is one of the reasons it was so high. When he said both of the numbers, my jaw dropped. I ended up getting the job done for $200 with another service provider.

Called and told them I had a faucet that would keep running even though I had it turned off. They said they could have someone out the next day in the afternoon. They called the next morning and said they had someone in the area and asked if he could come early. I said that would be OK and he came around 10 AM. He asked what I needed and I showed him the problem with the faucet. He asked if I would like to go ahead and replace the other one also as it was old and I said yes. He then told me what the cost would be and I was shocked but as I had a running faucet could not really cancel and call someone else so I said to go ahead. These faucets are threaded ( not sweated on) and it took him all of about 20 minutes to replace and check both. The $275.00 charge was after the Angie's List discount. I think this charge is way out of line for the job done.
