Description of Work: They fixed a slab leak and a leak outside my house. Also he fixed my tub that was stopped up and upgraded a few of my fixtures, both for free. It went great and was a very professional job.

Description of Work: I had a slow leak in the water line from the street to my house. After getting a very high bid from a larger plumbing company, I called Ernie's for another bid. The other company charged extra to locate it with their special equipment, which, it turns out, did not accurately find the leak. Ernie's called to let me know they were on the way before they arrived. They found the leak and fixed it the same day for one charge which was considerably less than what the other company wanted to charge. The employee explained everything to me and made sure I understood what the problem was and how he would repair it. I wish I could remember his name, but he was great and he's been mentioned in other reviews on Angie's List. It's been about a month and with all of the rain it is hard to tell, but it appears the leak is fixed! I will definitely use them again!

Description of Work: My electric water heater was leaking from the top. It was 15 yrs old so I already knew I needed a new one. The repairman came out and said the same. After 10 mins or so outside he showed me the price of $1408. He said he would be here the following morning at 8 am before I said I would get the job done. He did not break the costs down for me except to mention the inspection cost. It was 4:30 pm and he said their office closed at 6 pm and wouldn't open again until 8 am and again said he would be here at 8 am. He seemed rather pushy to me as I was trying to say I wanted another estimate. Telling me how great a price it was and I wouldn't find anything better. I felt pressured.

Description of Work: They were 4 times higher than other plumbers. Wanted to pull permits. On a job that requires no permit.

Description of Work: Cleaned out two bathroom drains and installed a kitchen sprayer. The part was a warranty that had been provided by the manufacturer. Neil was very nice & professional. No service call fee to come to Coppell from Arlington. If I didn't want to have service after an estimate was given, there would have been no charge. Most plumbers want $60 just to come to the house. I got a discount for being an Angie's List customer.

Description of Work: Ernie's Plumbing came to clear the main sewage drain in the front yard. They showed up on time and cleared it quickly. I like how they were the only plumbing service to give me an estimate over the phone. Although he did charge about $30 more than the quote. I would use them again.

Description of Work: The provider came out late 15 Minutes, gave us an outrageous estimate for the amount of work that needed to be done in my house. Then after further discussion he gave another quote and another quote and when we finally agreed on the price and we gave him the go ahead to do the job came back in the house and changed the price on us again. He looked at one of my toilet and it was working fine, shortly after he left the toilet start flooding non stop and I had to shut off the water in my house. Very unprofessional on every level and for him to intentionally cause a leak in my house is bad business. I will never use them or recommend them to anyone. Michael.

Description of Work: Replaced two hot water heaters. They were there to perform the work when they said they would be, and they were extremely knowledgeable and efficient. I will use Ernie's Plumbing for all my plumbing needs.

Description of Work: Quote given to fix leaking shower head; stated must rebuild valve. I watched a couple of YouTube videos & went to Home Depot and spent 3 bucks on 2 seats and 99 cents on washers and 12.00 on the tool to remove the entire valve. Came home and completed the job in less than an hour and now there is no more leak. What in the world would have cost 365.00 when I did it for 16 BUCKS? What, Ernie pockets the nearly 350? Ridiculous quote for a very simple job. Consumers beware.

Description of Work: Ernie's sent out a great tech. We had a water leak that appeared again after it stopped leaking last Aug. After cutting into the wall the leak appeared to be coming from up high and he inquired about a possible roof leak. I said no since we had the leak happen last Aug when there was no rain. He decided to get into the attic and discovered one of the copper lines had a pin hole leak that was only noticeable after you move the insulation. We had 3 plumbers out last year and no one thought to look in the attic. He did the job quickly. He was very informative, professional and did a great job. Will hire again.

Description of Work: they arrived early and looked at what i thought was a problem with the way the newly installed toilet was flushing. Spent about 30 minutes trouble shooting and determined that the DUAL FLUSH button was installed backwards. |There was no charge for the visit.

Description of Work: Contractor told me we would probably need to use a diagnostic plumber with a camera for our problem, but then he kept after it until he solved the problem. Our problem drain is doing well, thanks to his persistence.
