I called in the morning and got a live person, Lea, on a Sunday which caught me off guard. I told her what the problem was. I told her the work could be done on Mon or Tues and she called me a few minutes later and said she would have the plumber to the house. John, the plumber, called me to let me know what the problem was. He was there for 2 - 2 1/2 hours. He finished up and picked up the check. On Monday, Lea called me back and wanted to make sure I was happy with the service. These things don't happen in today's world. I can't say how impressed I am with them.

It went very well. It was actually an object that was stuck, and he was able to take of it.

Initially, I was alarmed when a constant gush of water was coming out of the in-ground water meter box and flowing down the street. I called the city and they determined it was on "my" side of the meter, so it was my responsibility to fix. Selected from the Yellowpages, I called Ernie's and relayed that the city estimated there was a leak in my water line. Over the phone (not in person) they determined that they would have to dig up the water meter box, under the sidewalk and back to the front of the house to find the leak and quoted me $435 (I had a $10 off coupon.) I had asked to be called at work before they headed my way. Instead, Scott called when he had arrived at my house, so I had to rush to get home...a 40 minute drive. Within minutes, he concluded that one of the pipe fittings was 1/8" too short, a quick fix...no digging up the yard or busting up the sidewalk required and also, no break on the price. He was adamant that the price quoted over the phone was the price I had to pay. Period. His anti-social demeanor was unprofessional in my opinion. I personally would not use or recommend this company again. However, my neighbor called them a few month's later for some plumbing assistance and explained my bad experience. Her service call only cost her $75 and was more involved than my job. Ouch!

They called back within 10 minutes of the job to see if I was satisfied. The discount was not applied properly, which was promptly fixed. They give me $25 coupon for the next service after every visit. The man did not understand the discount and I was billed for the complete amount(without any discounts). They called back within 10 minutes and immediately fixed the bill. They do a great job of following up.

It was a fine experience. We called them on a weekend. They came and gave a free quote, without charging a trip charge. I liked that a lot better, as opposed to paying a trip charge and not knowing if you are going to have the services done.

Their office person set up an appointment for the plumber to come to our home, and later called to say that he could come earlier, if we desired, and we did. The young man arrived and immediately put disposable covers over his work shoes, while still on the porch. He worked diligently and cleaned the area where he worked, when he finished.

It took them two and a half hours to respond to my emergency.

They were very prompt and had someone out within an hour. The guy who came had a uniform on and was very polite. They gave me the Angie's List discount for $25 off. As he was leaving I asked him for a business card and he provided me with a refrigerator magnet and said that if I ever have them out for service in the future, just show them that magnet and I will get 10% off. Afterward, the head office in Arlington called to make sure I was satisfied with the work, which I thought was very nice and professional.

They were great. The person who came out for the job was very, very straight forward. He didn?t exaggerate the problem and suggested the most affordable way out to fix it which most of the people don?t do but he was very considerate. Whatever he did, worked and it is still working fine. He also gave us suggestions on how to take care of the problem if it reoccurs. He even went and got the part by himself.

They fixed the problem and did not charge for it. They have been excellent and come out right away. They try to fix things rather than replacing it and that saves my money.

I was very disappointed. It took just 5 minutes to do the job, to pull a sanitary pad out of the toliet and the price was very high.

The work required two visits as the first plumber did not fix the problem. He was also not professional in manners. The company did respond very quickly and sent a much better plumber the second time who fixed the problem. However, they had not communicated to him that the work had already been paid for so he tried to bill us again. Their prices are very steep.

I was out in the yard and noticed that there was pooling water in our irrigation control valve access panel. I dumped the water out, but it kept refilling. I called two other plumbing services befores Ernies. Ernies was the only one able to have someone over within the hour. Don showed up and I immediately showed him the problem. He said he would have to dig up the flower bed and troubleshoot the leak. He estimated the costs between $300 to $400 dollars. He went to work and found that the piping between the irrigation control valve(for our sprinkler system) and our house on/off valve was leaking. He replaced the whole branch with PEX piping. He explained the benefits of PEX with me. I googled it while I was in the house and it sounded like a good quality product when used underground. He finished and cleaned up the area well. I was satisfied with the overall service. The price was a little more than was originally estimated, but it seemed ok. I would use them again.

Showed up on time, gave estimate, did work, showed me how to operate the fireplace - took just a little over an hour. Cleaned area very nicely. Very polite gentleman.

My main concern was when he came in he gave me an estimate. When I told him that I saw their Senior Citizin discount he took money off. I did think their prices were kind of steep for the work they did as I had provided the items for two of the peices they replaced.

The plumber came within 2 hours. He located the faulty part and had a replacement on the truck. I also asked him about a noise that I heard when the shower ran. He checked it out and explained what I heard. I also asked him to check on the bath faucet in the master bath. It didn't have hot water. He said the faucet wasn't installed correctly and fixed it in five minutes. Now I have hot water in the master bath. He did a good job.

They did the work properly, they were extremely courteous and I am extremely pleased with their service. I would highly recommend them.

Their service was excellent. They came out and did the work quickly. I have had no problems at all; they did the work right the first time. I would recommend them to anyone.

He work was excellant. He completed the work in an hour. He was slightly under his original estimate. He was very curtious and informative.

They told me to call the air conditioning man. He said that it was crazy that it was not an air condition issue. They came back again and I had to find the leak to get them to replace it. It took me a month to find it. It was at a socket going from the water heater into shower stall. They never found it they just tore my ceiling out and left it. They just left me with a bill that was between five and six hundred dollars. I had to have my ceiling re-done by a contractor. But, that was 2002 so this does not seem fair; they have good ratings.

They were late and the estimate for replacing a bathroom faucet was outrageously expensive. I ended up doing it myself.

The overall experience with Ernie's was great. We had a 50 gallon Rheem water heater. We called Mr. Rooter on a Friday afternoon and they came out and said that the thermo couple needed replacing. It was too late to get the part that afternoon and he would call on Saturday to see if the parts place was open. He called Saturday morning and said he wasn't able to get a hold of them so it would be Monday. Monday rolls around and they call and say that the parts have to come from Rheem and they are not a Rheem certified "whatever". Anyway, we call Rheem and find out that the hot water heater is under parts warranty but not labor. Rheem said also that it was the thermo couple and they would send the part to us. They did, and walked my husband through putting it in. That didn't work so we were sent a couple of other parts which also didn't work. By this time, we had been without hot water for a week, finally we called Ernie's at the recommendation of another plumber who was booked up, and had a new hot water heater installed. I was extremely frustrated with Rheem and personally won't ever purchase another Rheem product. The Rheem hot water heater was only 5 years old. I'm no hot water heater expert, but I certainly think they should last longer than 5 years. Ernie was about $400 cheaper than another company's estimate for a new 50 gallon hot water heater (NOT a Rheem).

I feel the price was a bit high, however, we were given a discount without asking for it. The technician explained the design and everything about the toilet, because it is a new product. He was very thorough, which I appreciated. I have used them in the past and will continue to use them in the future. I would also recommend them to others.

They did a very thorough job to find out what was plugging my drain. They spent almost an hour examining what the problem was. They did not charge me anything for this, since there was no problem. They have also given me free estimates. The gentlemen are always very nice and seem to like working for their employer. They are very accommodating. Their prices seem comparable to others. I am using them again today and would recommend them to others.
