CRS Exteriors

The crew CRS contracted to do Everlast siding had never installed this type of siding before. They were gutter/repair installers. May 26, one person showed-up the first day. May 27, no one worked or called the second day, nice, sunny day. The following day, there were 2 people working. On Friday, 2 people worked full day & "crew leader" a few hours. Saturday, 3 people (no crew leader) . June 1st, about 10AM, someone called & said it was raining; I told him it was not raining here, but no one came to work. Was a nice day, no rain. June 2nd, crew leader & 2 people arrived early & worked until 7pm. June 3rd, 3 people arrived early & crew leader came about 10:30. Siding was finished. When I brought the large/uneven spaces to CRS attention, I was told there was nothing wrong with it....the gaps would expand in cold weather. It's cold weather & the gaps have grown to 1/4 inches (may be larger/smaller in some places). My experience with CRS has been a frustrating, costly mistake. I could never - in good conscience recommend this company for siding. Everyone who has seen it agrees it looks awful, except CRS.

Unbelievable, first CRS carries one of the best windows on the market, I researched EVERYTHING!! They carry Marvin infinity windows. The first contact was the salesman, no high pressure sale like from Anderson and he explained everything. When he left I did the research and he was totally telling me the truth about why windows rot, materials that work and don't work, how they install etc... I had three estimates and decided on CRS.. They came back out and measured again to make sure the windows were built perfectly to fit my home and it was the owner who came out! The windows ordered and came in a few weeks, they were installed in one day. The crew did a fantastic job and not only cleaned up their tools, but inside my house, outside in the yard AND!!!!!! beautifully cleaned the windows. I am very happy and hope to use them again soon. The windows are gorgeous!!!!

Everyone from company pleasant & on time. When scheduled, finished product was excellent & we are very pleased & satisfied with the quality of awning.

The whole process was a very pleasant experience.

The company installed 7 Vista replacement windows. The windows themselves have worked very well and they are a good value for the money. The windows function well and look attractive. The installation by the first crew was sloppy. Also this crew arrived late every day until they were fired. CRS did repair the installation problems eventually and I am satisfied with the results. The second crew, headed by Dave, was excellent. He was on time, worked efficiently and did more than a great job. It was difficult to give an accurate rating for this company because the first subcontractors were unprofessional in every way and Dave's crew was outstanding.

Excellent. I compared Marvin Infiniti (installed by CRS Exteriors) to Anderson and Pella. All have excellent products. I felt Marvin was the superior product. They were more expensive than Pella but less expensive than Anderson. These are not inexpensive windows but they are reasonable, and for what you get I felt it was a bargain......these windows look like the original wood and I am convinced I will never have to repair another window. A major selling point to me was the exterior trimwork, which was completely new rot-free brickmold and not just an aluminum wrap.....and this was included in the price. I was also encouraged that the installation team were CRS employees, and not subcontracted.....I've had problems with sub-contactor situations in the past in which the contract and agreement is with one company but the work is done with someone else.....leaves you with no real recourse if work is done poorly. Sales "pitch" was professional, informative, and accurate. Ed Clark gave me references and even drove me around to a few of the Infiniti replacement projects they'd done. Was not a hard sell, but not bashful. Professional and to the point. David Walliker and KC (sorry, couldn't remember last name!) were on time, courteous, professional, did great work, were respectful of the health issues we have in our home, and left the place clean. All ten windows were removed, replaced, trimmed and caulked in two days, which I though was excellent turnaround time. Their work really didn't disrupt our lives at all. And they worked hard.....never saw them idle. I have other exterior work to be done (soffits, fascia, etc) and CRS will get this job.

Jesse Zeglen of Zeglen Remodeling LLC arrived on time. They seemed exceptionally well organized, as they were soon at work removing old windows and replacing with new ones. Would definitely use CRS Exteriors and Zeglen Remodeling again.

I was really impressed by the folks over at CRS. Our dog caused some damage to the siding on the back of our house. Not being experts on vinyl siding, we weren't sure if it was cosmetic and easily fixed or something more severe that we should really get repaired right away. I submitted an email contact form to CRS and Tim F. from the Chattanooga office called me back that same day. He came by our house the next morning and did a quick assessment. It turns out that the siding wasn't really damaged and Tim gave us advice on how we could fix it ourselves and save some money. Tim was very professional, courteous, and on time. Even though we didn't get any work done, I was really appreciative of his time and advice. If we ever have need of a bigger project in the future, we would definitely consider CRS.

David Walliker and his assistant, K.C. showed up on time, worked very ahrd. Excellent craftsmanship.

The CRS team did everything they said they would do when they said they would do it. This includes Ed, who sold us the windows, Olen, who measured for the replacements, JR and his team who installed, and Teena, who initiated and them completed the paperwork for the TVA EnergyRight rebate program. All questions asked during the "shopping" process were promptly and completely answered. We were faced with no surprises when the work was done. The install was scheduled to be completed in 2 days, and it was. JR and his team worked hard, were very friendly and professional and did a wonderful job. All the windows look great both inside and out. I'm especially pleased with three of the glass-only replacements. They are in our foyer - one very large and two large and unusually sized. JR spent a good deal of time making sure the outside trim on these looked as good after the replacement as it did before. We definitely recommend CRS Exteriors and would, without a doubt, contract with them again.

These were original installs not replacements. The installation was complex due to the age of the house and excellent carpentry skills were required to pull it off. I demand only the best quality product and workmanship. In this case I did not have to demand anything. These guys, David Walliiger and his assistant K.C. understood my expectations and proactively provided the best service anyone could expect. I give them 10 stars out of a possible 5. I don't think I've ever said that about a contractor more than 3 times in the past 30 years.

I had a piece of siding fall off of our house, we have Hardie Board siding. I wanted to find a contractor or repair service that knew how to install or repair this type of siding. Glen was right on time for the scheduled appointment, he looked at the house and saw several more planks that were loose which now I know the siding was not installed correctly. Glen was extremely honest with me, he told me that he was about 10 weeks out on scheduling jobs and I knew that my situation was small compared to what he normally does. However he connected me with David Kennedy from Kennedy Repair who was able to meet with me that same afternoon and my siding was fixed that following Monday. David was great and I have him coming back later this summer to repair the remaining planks on the house before they fall off. If we have a big siding job in the future we will use CRS Exteriors and I am keeping Kennedy Repair on file too.

The only small problem was that I wasn't told they were coming on Tuesday, only 24 hr. notice. Otherwise it was a very pleasant experience!

Fantastic. The installers went above & beyond what you would expect from them. Always came on time, cleaned up every day.

Overall it was a very painless experience. David Waldrow (the job foreman) was helpful and ran a tight ship. Also, when the slider wasn't operating and gliding as well as it should, David sent one of his crew over to fix the issue.. Despite the fact that I have yet to move into the house, the windows seem like they were installed well and don't leak air. So far so good.

David and crew were friendly, punctual and did great work. This was a difficult job. They got there at 9:30 on a Monday morning and after a week of work left at noon on Friday with satisfied customers.

Dave walker and his crew worked very hard and carefully to take out and install new windows.They drew left things just as they were.

Not as well as we would have hoped. The first crew did not properly install the windows leaving a gap in the frame letting cold air in (took place in winter) and the owner inspected it and stated that the factory got the specs wrong. We then had to wait several weeks for another set to be sent from the factory. When it finally arrived, a different crew showed up to install it and stated that we did not need a new window, but instead the first crew did not properly install it the first time. We felt that the owner should have caught this. Finally, after the second crew finished the re-install of the windows, it was still missing a part. In short, we had to take several more hours off of work to make repeated appointments that should not have been necessary. On a different set of windows (different room in the house), the crew installed them with broken parts that also required repeated follow-up visits. CRS offered no concessions for the hassle, which could have offset lost work time for us. I do not plan to use or recommend this company in the future.

Our house is nearly 100 years old and we have the old type sash windows. We couldn't open them anymore. Also, the siding of our house was old Georgia Pacific pressed wood siding. Over the years, it has become soft and a woodpecker haven! Our house looked like someone had taken a shotgun to it. Our windows were frozen shut due to their age and the sashes no longer working. We did our research and interviewed a bunch of contractors, most of whom were on Angie's list. It took a while for my husband and I to decide who to use and in the end, we decided to go with CRS exteriors. The reasons were: 1. The salesman was on time and always communicated. If you left a message, he would return your call that very same day within a reasonable amount of time. 2. The salesman took his time telling you all the details of the work and even showed us the replacement windows and the Hardy Plank Siding (which is what we really wanted. Not all companies work with this kind of siding). 3. This company is very willing to work within your budget. We had interviewed them 9 months before we started the job, and they did not raise their prices for the job during that time. 4. We felt very comfortable with the described work and we felt very confident that they would do a good job, even though they were not the least expensive of the contractors we interviewed. We were told they would start after the holidays and that the job would take anywhere from 7-10 days. They started on Monday, Jan 5. The crew that came, JR and his sons, were excellent. Make sure you ask for them. They came in with their equipment and set to work right away. We had 15 windows to replace. They replaced all the windows in one day, except they were one window short (the company forgot to order). That did not pose a problem. They came in on the weekend to put in that window when it came in. They were clean, courteous and very professional. The only days they missed work was the time when we had pouring rain or if the weather was way to cold to caulk. Even so, they came to work when it was lightly raining. They always cleaned up after themselves and JR made sure everything was done correctly. We were going to put up a railing on our second story porch and they even volunteered to come after the job was finished to help my husband put up a new railing. On the last day, they went around and took care of little odds and ends....more caulking, etc. It took them a few extra days to finish the job, due to the weather, but that was totally acceptable. We certainly appreciated their attention to detail! The only unexpected item was that, since our house was so old, they had to test for lead paint. And of course, our house tested positive. We were told that they would have to come out in special protective gear to make sure the lead chips wouldn't fly around and create any health problems. That would cost us extra. I thought this a little over the top (and I do know about lead poisoning). After some negotiating, they still didn't raise the price. We would definitely contract them again.

They did everything they said they would do. They had a good price and a good product. The intall was more difficult than they expected but they were able to get it all done. I was pleased with the work.

Very pleased with Ed, Glen, Dave and his wonderful crew. Everyone was very professional, punctual, and easy to work with. The windows and doors look wonderrful.

Arrived when expected and the team doing the work was professional and mostly outstanding. The only exception was the team leader, who was on crutches, which meant he was not doing any of the work but he did supervise the team. However his attitude toward the team was threatening and therefore counterproductive for the team and I found him annoying, especially when he talked to me about how I ther teams he has supervised were so much faster. I did not appreciate his attitude. I have used this company in the past and was highly pleased. The quality of work from the installers was not quite as good as previous installations, and I believe it was a direct result of how annoyed, and therefore somewhat distracted by, the team of installers was with their supervisor. However, I would use the company again, but I would specify that any supervisor on the job must also be a productive, rather than disruptive, member of the team.
