Mike and his team at Foskey are fantastic! On the day after we moved our HVAC went down. Foskey had their team out within 2 hours and had a new system installed that evening. They take calls at all hours and are quick to respond. Yesterday the system shutdown due to a clog the water line. Mike himself took the call and had everything working within the hour. Here's the best part - I was a bit overdue for my maintenance that I neglected to schedule despite Foskey's reminder. Since I had the yearly maintenance package and it was due - There was no charge. Mike did the complete maintenance includind fixing the issue. I would strongly recommend Foskey!

My experience with other companies made me grade them an A. When they came out originally. We were having trouble with our all system and they recommended a new system and installed it for us. it was really good as a whole thing.

We have prior favorable experience with Foskey (rental). We arrived in town Wed late afternoon with dtr's family (inc 4 little boys), house hot! A rep came out and analyzed. Friday, emp's worked all day to install even into early pm to assure AC. WOW!!  We would be happy to give Foskey's our total recommendation.

Steve, the technician, was on time, very thorough & knowledgeable. He gave good advice on maintenance & things we could do to improve efficiency.

We chose them for the work because their estimate was the lowest. They completed the job in one day. They removed and hauled away the old system as well. Everything went great.

The technician showed up on time and was very professional and clean…did not leave a mess. He was very thorough and did not take long. It took a couple of hours for two mornings. I didn't know if the price for the replacement of the coils was over the top, but I just wanted it fixed. I think I could have gotten a better price if I had time to and quot;shop around.and quot;

Air conditioning outside unit was not working. They came out within half hour of call. Took top cover off unit and immediately indicated that it was a bad capacitor. Mike, the owner had one in his truck, he replaced bad capacitor and it was back in running order in 3 minutes. I have used them before on my furnace unit and my experience with them was the same. I would recommend them without reservation. They are an honest family run business.

This was a large job, that took four and a half days. Most of the work was in the attic, removing all the old ductwork and replacing it with new. I had gotten five estimates, and Foskey was the second lowest. The workers were punctual and busy all the time. They took a one hour or less lunch break, and were very polite and considerate. When the job was complete and ready for inspection, a supervisor inspected everything, and had a punchlist, that the crew came back for on the same day and completed. I especially appreciate the owner of Foskey Htg and Air advising me to duct a room, that I felt was too much for the system to cool. He is quite knowledgeable and I'm glad I listened to him. The room in question is adequately cooled now and I probably saved about $3000, by not putting in a Fujitsu mini split there. I am very pleased with the finished job and would highly recommend Foskey Htg and Air.

I have been using Foskey Heating and Air for business related calls concerning my property management company for more than 3 years. When both of my home AC systems stopped working this spring, I did not hesitate to call them. Their prices were great, they scheduled the install fast and the workers were very professional. The owner, Mike, stopped by at the beginning and near the end of the job to check in with his workers. Foskey is a great company to work for.

My Trane heat pump system (installed new in 2006) stopped working on Sunday, the 22nd of December. I called the main number for Foskey Heating and Air. I left a message at 5:35 PM, expecting to schedule an appointment during the weekday when the office opened on Monday. I received a call back from the on-call technician within fifteen minutes, inquiring if I need service immediately. It was not an emergency on my part, so I asked to have an appointment for the day after Christmas at 9:00 AM.
The technician arrived on time. He diagnosed the problem as a shorted connection to the capacitor in the heat pump. The connection and the capacitor were replaced. The technician checked the rest of the system for any additional issues. He alerted me to a potential problem of the heat pump compressor pulling near then maximum number of rated amps (i.e. pulling 14.5 amps on a 15 amp circuit).
This information was very helpful. I had problems before, necessitating the compressor being replaced twice by Gochnauer Heating and Air. (Once in 2012 and again in 2013) It was the technician's opinion that the refrigerant lines were not cleaned properly upon previous replacement of the compressor or during the replacement of a reversing valve by Gochnauer Heating and Air (in 2012). This is causing the compressor to work harder and draw more amperage than necessary. Given this situation, the compressor will have a much shorter service life.
The repair cost was reasonable for the work performed ($170). It Is comparable to the cost I would be charged by Gochnauer Heating and Air under my service contract with them. Based on previous experience, Foskey Heating and Air has a much quicker response time than Gochnauer Heating and Air. Finally, the information provided by the Foskey Heating and Air technician was of more practical use to me concerning compressor and what I should do if it fails again.
I am very happy with Foskey Heating and Air. so far. They are a Maytag heat pump dealer and I will look to them for a new heat pump system, if the compressor on my Trane heat pump system fails in the future.

We woke up on my 50th Birthday to no AC. I guess our first clue should have been the sweating all night!! We had plans for my birthday and only had a narrow window of time to be at home as we had relatives staying in the area. I called at 7:00 a.m. not expecting an answer. I was greeted with a warm welcome. I was told I'd receive a call back as soon as I could be fit into the schedule. I received a call around 8:30 and was informed by Mike that he could fit me into his schedule at noon. That didn't work for our birthday lunch plans and we rescheduled for 3:00. Mike knew we wanted an early a.m. appointment and when one of his morning appointments cancelled he called back and confirmed that he could be to our house shortly. He arrived shortly after 10:00 and quickly diagnosed the problem. We appreciated the thoroughness of his assessment. We were given options for repair vs. replace. We chose repair at this time, but know that in the near future we will need to replace.
My husband is fairly picky on contractors and knows a little about most home issue. He did troubleshooting of the system before Mike's arrival and this made Mike's job much easier. After my husband told Mike what he checked, Mike immediately narrowed in on the capacitor. He replaced the capacitor and the system started to work.
We found Mike to be knowledgeable and he saved me from celebrating my 50th in the SC heat!

After purchasing a home and renting it out, the air system leaked. Another contractor put in $700 of freon before contacting us...the owners, and then wanted more to fix the problem. Our realtor recommended Foskey's and they fixed the issue quickly and reasonably. Last week, I called them to check the system since we are now living in the house. The air seemed to barely be cooling the house and it was only 80'. Sure enough,, it was leaking freon again. Foskey's recommending replacing the system since it was having recurrent leaks and was 13 years old. They gave me the option of having it repaired again as well. The owner came out that afternoon to give us a requested estimate. He recommended a system with a 10 year parts and labor warranty. We thought about it over the weekend and on the day after memorial day we called and told them we needed it in before Friday as we were leaving. The owner rearranged his schedule and came out that afternoon and stayed until nearly 7 p.m. to finish the job. They were courteous, professional and cleaned up as well as laying plastic wherever they had to walk. We are very pleased to have Foskey's do our heating and cooling work and would recommend them to anyone.
