To be posted end of August, 2013. Ratings grades ( letters) I had to post now will most likely will change after completion either up or down, if they don't remain the same.
Description of Work: I was surprised to see there have been zero postings on community type builders in the Charleston areas when accessing this search engine on AngiesList, especially since home buying is a highly critical equation in ones financial stability. I will suspect, then, my post will be a first, hopeful others will follow suit, and I will address the Ryland Home Builder. I am in the process of building a home with Ryland Homes in the Brickhope Ponds. With these home builder's there are various inside entities such as the Sales Counselor reps, Design Center reps, Building Supervisor, and the Ryland Mortgage reps. (If the buyer/borrower decides to mortgage a loan with Ryland you will deal with Ryland Mortgage reps and its local branch manager). Most often if not always, these typological builders offer incentives such as a design center incentive and a closing cost incentive, which of course is a lure to a borrower towards opting their mortgage division in order to take advantage of the earned closing cost incentive. I have lived in the upper Midwest always, and new to this region less than six month, thereby ardently learning the areas as best I can with Angie's List a helpful aid. With that said then, the home building experience with the likes of a Ryland, ( some others in the area as a like example as builders to select from are David Weekly, Sabel, D.R Horton, H.H. Hunt, Lennar, Centex, etc.), are new community/plantation/village home typologies for me since I am only familiar with the custom built home. The experience so far with Ryland has been fine, especially with the Sales Counselors, and we will see how the local Ryland Mortgage branch manager/reps. continue to operate & if it is by way of a client-centered relationship too since we are in that phase currently. Once our home is completed and the processes are finalized I will post back to Angie's List discussion board and post my experiences and personal views, perhaps able to help other buyers/borrowers draw comparison of alike and unalike builders of these communities' down to the specifics of their entities' & reps' by the way they served this client. Albeit based on opinions, it will be how professionally both hard and soft skills were conveyed to myself as the buyer of a Ryland home. I will share my viewpoints (Overall) via measurement of the day by day to month by month workmanship provided me by Ryland Home Builders and will post this as objectively possible after I close on the house, and in all fairness have lived in the home a good couple of months. Most likely will post by end of August, 2013.
